Tears are not a sign of weakness, sir. They're a sign of emotional strength. Wonderful, honest, truthful reaction, good sir. Blessings, kindness, love to you, always, man.
My grandfather was old school and didn't believe in showing off money. So he didn't like Cadillacs. When he died my mom played this song cause he didn't like them but was drove away in one. Much love.
love your reaction videos. this one was extra great. Don't worry about those tears...you let them flow. I'm 60 and lost my dad when i was 14 and i still think about him everyday. every now and then a song or a picture will still bring the tears out of me. The memories and still there and they just get sweeter over time. Much love and respect to you.
I lost my Daddy in 2013 to lung and brain cancer i love and miss him so much. My prayer's go out to you Rick losing a Dad is one of the most painful losses.. Awesome reaction.
Miss my dad too. Died June 9th, 2009 and got the call at 5:30am. Never forget it. Love your family and don’t hold a grudge, cause you never know when it will be their last day.
Your Dad went home, he is safe now, he is healthy now. Shed those tears, brother. Let em flow. That shows true strength of character. It is obvious that you loved him dearly just as i loved my Dad who I lost in 2003. Not a day goes by that I don't miss him and iI wish i could say the hurt will go away but that would be a lie. You will fear that you will forget everything. But your memories will grow stronger each day. I'm proud to see another REAL man show his emotions. I got you my friend. I have your back. Troy
This is the beauty of country music. It doesn’t matter your skin color or background, there’s a song for everybody. We had that album when I was a kid. My mom used to play me this song and “Elvis & Andy” from the album all the time on the way to drop me off at school. I loved it.
I’m very happy you and your father got to share those memories together. As a father, I can tell you that those memories of fishing and working on cars together were most likely the happiest and best memories of his life. It’s never about this or that that you got him or he got you over the years. It’s never about this expensive trip that you got to go on. It’s about time spent with you. Whether it’s sitting at the dinner table having a conversation or those times you just talked while working on a car. Those are the most cherished memories and you have my condolences for your loss. Even though he’s not around anymore, when ever you need him just listen to your heart and he’ll give you the answer you seek. Although he’s not physically here, he will always be with you there.
Shout out to your dad, he was obviously a good man, this is my first time watching any of your videos i can tell you are a good man and i know that your dad had a lot to do with that, as with a lot of us who were lucky enough to have strong fathers in our lives. I am sorry for the loss of your dad, but i know he left you in a good state, strong, compassionate, good values, you are a good man, and your father lives on through you, carry on and God bless
country music will make you feel thats for sure, lost my dad when I was a kid, shortly after he passed George Strait came out with "love without end, Amen" to this day I still think of my dad whenever that song is played
My dad used to tell me the days are long and years are short, it took me a few years after he had passed away for me to realize what he was saying. I miss him and my mother everyday but I smile and am grateful for the time I had with them. Soon you will think of your dad and have nothing but happy memories.
Rest in peace to your pops! I hope time heals that wound! I love that you're seeing that country music can touch on feelings that most music genres can't. ALL music/genres has its value. Great video! I appreciate the work ethic and grind!
I love that you're not ashamed to be human that's not seen very often anymore love to you brother I know that hurt and pain of losing a Dad what hurts the most is there will never be another like him!!
This is one of the songs that make me think of my dad. My dad has been gone for 19 years. We never had much, but dad worked very hard to make sure we had love and what we needed. We took him fishing just over a week before he passed. I was a wrestling fan, but he hated it. My birthday was a week and half before he passed and he sat and watched wrestling with my the Monday before my birthday because he knew it would be my last birthday he would get to spend with me. I miss him everyday.
I know losing your dad so suddenly and the way that he died, it was very unexpected and you didnt really have time to prepare for it..but let those tears flow don't hold back them tears its apart of healing. Youll never fully get over losing your dad but as time goes by it does get easier, youll be listening to the radio one day and a song will come that makes you think of your dad or a youll look back at a menory you too shared together , no your dad is no longer physically here on earth with you anymore but he will always be with you in your heart in your memories and even though you can't see him he is up in heaven looking down at you , you and still protecting you from up above , hes your guradian angel looking down over you.. i know he's up there with a big proud smile on his facd because you are an amazing person , loving kind beautiful person inside and out and i know he is proud of you and everything you've accomplished this far in your life.. you are truly an incredible person. And im blessed to call you my friend im glad we are friends and now family.. im here to talk anytime you need a friend to talk to im just a text away love you my friend. And give your beautiful momma a hug from me and tell her hello from me...
You should just let those tears flow! You need to cry it out then you'll be able to smile when you think about your Dad! When you get to the point where you can smile thinking of those memories. That's what I thought the other day when I was here, that you regretted not doing something with your Dad, he understands! Being a parent of two sons, I know I would understand, so your Dad understood! Do you have any children yet? If you do you should look into your heart and know this is true, if you don't have children yet, you'll know this when you do, but I'm telling you that now! Love from Michigan!
So sorry about your Dad… I lost mine 8 yrs ago to a massive stroke. I swear sometimes I can still feel his spirit standing near me… Don’t worry about the tears… my Dad ( a Korean War veteran), always said to never trust a Man who refuses to cry. Hang in there, and God Bless!
Whenever you want to talk with your dad, look to heaven, but when you want to see the best part of him, just look in the mirror. You want to honor him, just work hard to think on all the memories he made with you, because we are all destine to be but memories to those we leave behind. Great reaction. Peace.
This song made me cry after my dad died. He never would buy his own Cadillac but he always borrowed mine to go on vacation. No argument just tossed him the keys and drove his old work truck until he came back.
I lost my dad a little over a year ago. One year and 7 months ago to be exact. He always tried to provide for me and my siblings. He was a very simple man and loved us kids. We were his world. And as the song says my Pop was never the Cadillac kind, he was a very simple man that loved his kids and loved driving an big truck.
I'm like my dad, we both like the simple things in life. I miss my dad so much he passed 20years ago at 52, the age iam now, so young he was the best. I know I will see him again🙏🥰🙏
One of their best, and for some us who were kids when it came out well it shaped how we saw life. I'm grateful I had an adoptive father who chose to adopt me at the age of ten and gave me love, a family and a new name. This song fits him...
This song is one ive known for a long time but it hit different after my dad died. We lost him November 2021 and when he says daddy left us last november, it kills me.
Rick I am so sorry you lost your Dad. My parents passed away 2 months apart in 2022. I drive a Cadillac and this song is sooooo like my Dad. He asked why I needed a Cadillac hahaha
Exactly right , be nice , the world needs more love , laughter, and kindness , I tell my daughter who is 21 now , but I always have told her to be kind to people , talk , don't judge , it's inside that counts . Love , peace , no wars , I agree with ya bro , my condolences on your loss . Keep up the great videos , this is my first of yours and really enjoyed it .
I relate man. My grandpa was in WW2 and he hated war. He was in the Battle of the Bulge and Hurtgen Forest,a Machine Gunner. He worked all his days and was a great man and grandfather. He rarely spoke of it only a time or two and he never talked about killing. He wasn't the Cadillac kind, just a humble Arkansas country boy and a damn good farmer and fisherman. He passed in '04. PFC Harry Doddridge Jr 106th infantry.
I don't know you or your dad (R.I.P to him) . But I can tell one thing. He was a hell of a good dude. I can tell this by how you act and talk. Look up macho man randy savage on if he ever cried. Best respond ever. New sub here man, keep ya head up bro.
At some point, every person who had a Daddy who they knew loved them more than anything in this universe, will be able to listen to this song and realize that a father’s love helps shape a child into something that is valuable to the world.
Thank you for sharing your precious memories and tears.. they are just that precious. I didn't have a daddy but this song breaks me everytime. 53 and miss my mommy. More then life but she's home with her mommy and daddy in glory and fellowshipping with your daddy. ❤❤❤
These guys are probably one of the most underrated country bands ever. They have so many amazing and emotional songs. I think that unfortunately their name held them back. I recommend "Three Verses" and "Jesus and Mama"
Mine past away less then 2 month ago...still feels so surreal...i know im going to be thinking about it forever....need to move on but its definitely going to be a long journey...these reactions somehow help a little...thank you!!!
My dad was definitely not the Cadillac kind..he could have definitely could have afforded one...but he just wouldn't do it...family always came first. He passed Aug 5, 2015. We went from constantly " bumping heads" to really appreciating each other.
My Dad and I were into early American junk. We drag old rotten cars out of weeds and make them run. Love your reactions. It's been 3 years and almost tried calling him on father's day. It's still hard.

They're a testament to what kind of man that his dad was.
Can not agree more sir
Bless your heart. Everything you said is awesome.
We all have different Dads, but we have the same Father. There are better days ahead. ✝️

A few years later, he taught my younger brother. My brother got a mouthful of oil.
Lol, the next time he needed an oil change, he got it done "professionally" at a shop.
