I swear they could sing a 1950s era Betty Crocker String Bean Casserole recipe and they'd make it sound good.
Indeed
The coolest musical moments I've had as a performer have been the private moments - without an audience, without the hype, without any pressure.
-- Just us. Making music together.
If you are listening to this, wondering if there is a Jesus- He is real. He's complete, tender love and He wants to know you. Look for Him and you'll easily find Him.
Praise God, and thank you, gentlemen, for this exquisite performance.
The timing of this video at this point in my life is nothing short of miraculous. God is love, and His love has never let me go...despite my attempts to run from it.
May God continue to bless this ensemble, and the music it makes in the future.
Grace and peace,
James "J.T." Taylor

Your voices and your collaboration are beautiful and impeccable. I don't know the gentleman's name, but your conductor is consummate, brilliant, and inspired. His command and comprehension of tempi, balance, and dynamics are without rival. You all handled the excessive aural decay of these acoustics quite well. Bravo.
You could three part harmonize with yourself in that room.
Inspired!
Oh Love that will not let me go,
I rest my weary soul in Thee;
I give Thee back the life I owe,
That in Thine ocean depths its flow
May richer, fuller be.
Oh Light that foll’west all my way,
I yield my flick’ring torch to Thee;
My heart restores its borrowed ray,
That in Thy sunshine’s blaze its day
May brighter, fairer be.
Oh Joy that seekest me through pain,
I cannot close my heart to Thee;
I trace the rainbow through the rain,
And feel the promise is not vain,
That morn shall tearless be.
Oh Cross that liftest up my head,
I dare not ask to fly from Thee;
I lay in dust life’s glory dead,
And from the ground there blossoms red
Life that shall endless be.
Westminster keep finding bigger and bigger halls to sing in....!
So Proud to hear this and will chose this at my favourite ❤ end of time.
Thank You. From UK 🇬🇧
You guy absolutely are one of the best barbershop choruses I have had the honor of listening to! If it were not for the interference of my work schedule (nights for the past 25+ years) I would in my 49th year o barbershop. Got started as a freshman in high school in '71.
Every time I hear you guys sing this I tear up and almost bawl like baby because it is such a God-inspired (I believe) expression of His love for us, and of the wonderful arrangement, and, most of all, your absolutely glorious performance of it. God bless you all, and keep those overtones a-ringing!
Oh, how wonderfully sung. The acoustics are amazing ! One of my favourite pieces of music Thanks for sharing.
WOW!!! Simply WOW!!! They have yet to invent a superlative for this performance!!!
I cried the entire second half of the video. Truly incredible!!
So beautiful. Beyond words.
Wow !! Still incredible - such a blessing - thanks guys
WOW! On 3,56 echo long 5 seconds! Congrats for great job! So slowly, but so fine feelings! Greetings from Serbia - Europe!
Absolutely incredible. Reminds me completely of Matheson’s comments on Rev. 14:1-3 about only the redeemed can sing their unique part in the new song of God’s glorious redemption -
“Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads. And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps. And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.”
WOW !! guys - a glimpse of Heaven - I hope and pray XXX
Miss singing this song with you boys! Awesome job!
Voices of angels guys !- God bless !!
Even if this video exists…. No microphone can ever truely capture moments like these
Thank you...................a transforming grace lifted some of the phrasing and the tonal resonance........to a celestial level......was silenced and blessed...........again, ''Thank you.''
The over tones are immaculate
Too beautiful for words
Thank you! The flow and sustain are so beautiful. But the words of Mathieson's hymn capture something spiritual and profound - Christian costly love.
My favorite performance of my favorite song. Thank you
Missed you all twice, one in California and one here in Utah. I shan’t again! Hope to see you when you’re visiting SLC once we’re beyond this pandemic! You guys rock!
Magnificent.
Beautiful!
Wow wow wow! Thank you for this moving musical moment. So inspirational!
Beautiful
Superb guys !!!!
Just superb and sumblime lads !!! - many thanks X
At 3:54 the windows shattered and the speaker fell of the wall!! just sensational ....................
isso é lindo de mais.
beautiful
Can we also appreciate the exquisite artistry of the conductor? Far from poking at the air, he bodily enacts the music alongside those singing. Every conductor has something to learn here, too.
Aside: I've always turned to musical conductors as inspiration when I want to draw a spellcaster in fantasy art for this same reason.
WOW. I wish I was there to hear this. Amazing voices. Thank you.
Thanks again guys !! - a Christmas Bleesing for all X
Beautiful. Love the climax around 3m 55s. Wow!
Awesome
Heavenly 🌟
Absolutely beautiful, absolutely fantastic
This was my grandads favourite hym , I love it as I loved him
Could literally sing Row Your Boat and I would CRY.
Holy christian music. God loves us. Glory to God.
Sounds awesome!

Wow !!!! thankyou guys -just beautiful !!! X
Not everyone’s cup of tea 🫖 I love the harmonies but, for me, it’s just too slow to communicate the words of a truly beautiful hymn.
Still WOW guys !!!!!
Nice to hear that some of the phrasing got 'toned down' a little to account for the acoustics.
Is that a good thing? I don't quiet understand what you mean here. Would you care to explain it? I really curious. Thank you.
@@mcglitter07 The speed at which some of the song was sung was slowed up a bit, so as to not have the acoustics 'blend' everything together.
@@battlewagondriver A reflection of good awareness from the director.
That chord at 3:33 about broke my damn speakers lol
Beautiful. And now never publish a dry video -without any reverb- again.
This is so special
I love this song. And the Gaithers do a great version too
3:47 🤯😵😍
Too slow i think
This is just... perfection.
männlich 3x
Stunningly beautiful!
Interesting idea, and cleverly executed. But no need to muck about with the harmonies: they were perfect already. It would be lovely to hear a proper cathedral choir sing it in that room.
😮
Wow guys !!! Just spectacular - and moving - and such a blessing . Thankyou x
Id like to listen the studio version but just like this chord and arrangement
Coisa mais impressionante que já vi em toda minha vida...
Still superb !!
1.25x Sounds better...
Had to slow down the tempo due to the ridiculous reverb (echo) in the room.
Hard disagree with ya on that one buddy.
Room reverb is killing this beautifully sung piece
solution, perhaps, develop a group of your own & choose the 'appropriate' song for the places you sing....
@@frjimt2286 is this a suggested solution for this group or are you proposing something for my group?
The room reverb is pretty thick for sure, James. Justin was certainly mindful and artistic in his direction. One could adjust some for the room saturation by how the group is arranged and proximity to the recording device. Perhaps a slightly tighter circle or a couple of rows, etc. However, In this case, the recording is really secondary to each man simply experiencing the magic of standing side by side together with equal contribution as they make the room sing and celebrate the International Championship weekend. This journey was extra special with Justin and Westminster. Love these guys.
@@royceferguson Just to be clear, I am a HUGE fan and supporter of this group just check the multitude of shares and comments I have made on all their stuff. Seemingly someone thought I was 'having a go', not so, just an opinion. Neither right nor wrong, agree or disagree still just an opinion, which I believe I am still free to make.

This is the ultimate in choral singing, especially since it's Westminster from the FWD and they've proven themselves to be the very best. The music they make could create peace throughout the world; all we need to do is get it distributed worldwide.
