Razor RSF650 -Big Power Upgrades!

- A few parts and details for my subscribers. I hear you guys wanting parts lists... and to be honest, with all the backed up Cargo ships, you are not going to be able to find this motor for purchase, and if you do, it will cost double what I payed 6 months ago. You CAN buy the motor with the base attached and cut the base off (it will rub tire), but the motors without feet are hard to come by these days....
This is my dad,I have been begging to be in one of is vids, thank you all of you for spreading positive comments I'm so proud of my dad😘😘
Can your dad comment and leave links to everything he's showing us? Thanks!
I just got one. Glad to have found these videos
what are you looking to do to it?
@@razorspeedfreak6508 increase range and speed, it will be a nice break from my electric unicycle
The bike is SO CLEAN!!!! nice job LOVE IT!!!
Thanks!
@@razorspeedfreak6508 How can I get in contact with you?
Thank you for these videos!! I'm following along with a very similar build as a first timer and this was very helpful.
Thanks for tuning in. I put my first Video out because I thought I had built the Worlds fastest Razor RSF650 and I wanted someone to prove me wrong... and no one has yet. I'm a member of Modified Razors with 5k members and that was/is (I have since sold it) the fastest RSF650 at 59mph. This is a new bike with a bigger wattage motor, and we are gonna put some heat to it (80A continuous/220A peak). Mostly wanted to get into the finer details of motors, controllers, batteries, amps, volts, wiring.
now thats a slick razor, sick build!
Love the work. I put some e and co guts on my sx500... want to put in some beautiful body work like yours 🤙
Think maybe you could do a video explaining the battery stuff that you quickly went over in this video? Stuff like what to look for and how to find the numbers we should know. Why you look for certain things when it comes to powertrain. Why the volt meter is more important then say how much time it guestimates you have left. Also, how and why to set your currant and amps with your controller. I am totally new to this stuff and don't want to throw money away so the more I can learn from a guy like you the better. If you don't want to do a video like that, hey I get it. Maybe you could suggest the quick basics to me and where I can try and figure that stuff our?
You RSF looks really nice in the purple with the brown seat. I am thinking I am gonna get a RSF as well and make mods it. This is why I have the questions I do. Thanks and or sorry for all the requests.
Really nice work with your bike. I bet it's a lil head turner
dont worry about voltage for motor, to much amps/heat is what kills them.
Yh stay within 4x the wattage 😂 fr tho
Gave you a sub. Keep up the videos. Gives me inspiration to keep making my own videos!
Thx! Look for the rest.lol. Awesome!
Lack of motors just put the brakes on my build, I'll consider cutting the feet off one but would rather have without.
Have you checked AlliedExpress?
@@razorspeedfreak6508
No I haven't, I've used Ali a few times for electric unicycle parts, I'll give them a try, I really appreciate it!!
I checked them out, no beans, I found some on the bay but they're not the Vevor brand, I suppose just a generic unit, they have the mounting feet which I'll accept grinding off at this point. Thanks again!
@@retrothruster2539 they are pretty much all generic, and the same. Mine just happens to be Vevor. Name doesn't matter much with these cheap Chinese parts.
@@razorspeedfreak6508
Gotcha, that makes me feel better, I'm ordering now. I appreciate it!!
Hey would you be able to detail how you have the wires setup from the motor to the controller and the controller to your throttle?
how fast does it go?, awesome looking bike
Nice video. Do you know your new parts as strong as the suron kit for this mini bike? I think that kit is 72v.
I have nothing really to say about overpriced/overated kits.
This controller is far more powerful than those kits.
how much did it cost you for all the aftermarket parts? I'm purchasing one and I'm going to buy a 1300$ kit that has 6000wat 72v
Where at?
Nazzy.. make a video of it pls, i just got mine yesterday and buying a 3000w 72v kit. im already worried about possible lack of room for the new parts🤞🏽 goodluck! WHAT A FUN TOY this bike has been!!
You can generally go 4x the rated wattage of a motor safely
I should be around 6kw continuous and close to 12kw peak.... thats about 4x
@@razorspeedfreak6508 I saw some of your riding videos and that thing goes crazy fast!
@@Louis-lu5wh thanks Man. This bike is a blast.
im interested :) i need a set up :)
Can you put taller tire's but same size on it.
the way the motor is mounted will limit the rear tire size, but yes, a taller profile tire can be used.
can you show me your settings for the Kelly controller I installed mine and the motor is not spinning i have the same motor
Which model kelly do you have?
dope
I love the vids. What heat sink are you using?
Heatsink.com
@@razorspeedfreak6508 it doesnt load for me, what size is it?
where did u buy those controller, moter (battery if u upgraded that too)?
Can you leave me a link to the back shock? Or where i can find it? Cause i looked for it on amazon and couldnt find it
Noice!
Lol. He said iPod... do they even make ipods any more? How did that become a blast from the past already? Lol
I'll be 53 yrs old next week... so yeah I have an iPod, and I listen to 80's Hair Metal while I'm rolling the back streets on my 57mph Razor scooter!
@@razorspeedfreak6508 I'm a few years behind you. Lol. Might as well bust out the old Walkman cassette player. Take it all the way back. IPods were the ish when they came out. I couldn't afford 1 back then.
Whats the size of your heat sink?
I noticed you’re not using the chain tensioner with the new motor. Not needed?
It is much quieter and no chain slap. But you will need to make seperate chains for each sprocket setup. The stock chain seems to fit great with a 13t motor and stock 80 t wheel.
@@razorspeedfreak6508 thanks for the reply and keep up with the great videos I enjoy watching. Just got two used rsf650 to start working on so these videos are very informative and entertaining.

Did you lock the rear gear ⚙️?
no. it is still a freewheel.
How fast does it go?
53-54mph
Where are u at in Md? I’m in Baltimore!

Hi I’m looking to mod a razor sx500. Would a qs 138 motor fit?
Not without modifications.
@@razorspeedfreak6508 Hi I’m looking at the MY1020 72v 3000w motor kit. Is this motor good and should I get it with the bracket or no bracket to mount?
@@SharkTheatre How much do you weigh, and what are your goals? Which Bike?
@@SharkTheatre You want the NO FOOT motor. What size is the rider?
@@razorspeedfreak6508 I weight 130 Pounds and I’m 5’7. It’s for the SX500 bike. And I’m looking for something that has good enough torque and speed.
How tall are you I’m 6’3 can I ride one ???
I am 5-10. You can lift the suspension and get some drop done foot pegs.
Whats the battery capacity 60v how many AH?
this battery is 8ah, but soon to be doubled to 16ah at 84v
@@razorspeedfreak6508 16ah is nothing my scooter is 45 one battery the other one 40 ah
Hey could you link the motor and batteries?
I can no longer find this motor in the US due to shipping. It is made in China and the prices have doubled in the last 3 months.
@@razorspeedfreak6508 anything on the batteries?

QS 138 motor could do the trick. Aliexpress is where you can buy it.
@@liamhunter2403 There are a lot of motors out there... this one is a direct bolt in, and its enough...
