- AFC Bournemouth's new home kit has been revealed - a nod to the shirt which was donned ten seasons ago, as Cherries embarked on our very first Premier League promotion winning season.
The sponsor and shirt has caused some controversy, but here's what we think...

Overall it’s an alright kit I wish the golden lines in between the stripes were a bit thicker and collar is a bit weird but I really like how they are paying tribute to that historic 14/15 season can’t wait to see the away and third kit 👍
Looking past the discussion around the sponsor, I like the look of it over all. The collar looks a bit tight to me, but it's not a deal breaker. As Tigz said, it will look even better when we pip 7th this season 😉🔥

Like the shirt will be interesting to see what the second and third kit is like before I buy as for the logo we have a choice with or without 😁👍🍒🍒🍒

EASILY for me this is the best home kit we've had since that 2014/15 season and a nice tribute to it as well. My favourite colour combination in general is dark red, black and gold, sometimes with a bit of silver thrown in there too so this kit is right up my street along with the design. Whilst I appreciate them trying to change the design up and be creative so they don't get boring every year, I prefer the straight forward different coloured sections all side by side.
Hopefully the away kit is similar to that dark blue one we had during the 14/15 season as well because that would be perfect. To me when I think of AFCB, the first kits that come to mind are the 14/15 season kits, maybe because just before that season is when I started following the team but even so that's the colours I want us to stick with ideally, same with the away kit although I understand sometimes you will want to change it up.
Just please please please no more of them toxic green kit colours, usually I cannot stand them although the one we had a few seasons ago was still a lot better than the kit the Liverpool team were wearing when we first beat them in that 4-3 game, that was shockingly awful to look at lol.
I agree with the 8/10 as not fan of the Beting sponsors but other teams have them to I will be buying it 👍🏻👍🏻
Surprised that no-one has mentioned it looking like a waistcoat from the front. Jibes galore for anyone in the sponsored version. The money it raises is extremely important to our little (big thinking) club. It's only 2 years. I think it's okay. Personally I'm not a red & black fan. I'm a supporter from the sixties & seventies, always a Boscombe fan.
I like the unsponsored version but it reminds of the 94/95 but I’ll will wait till the third and away kit comes out 😊

Hmm, also was not sure at first I like more stripes too BUT now overall, a classy kit, the gold in particular. Will definitely wait for the other kits - away kit like home 👕 but with blue rather than red stripes? Loved the 3rd kit from last season - bought a Semenyo edition of that bad boy! When are the other kits likely to come out?

AFCB have a great red and black colour combination to start their design process. I would then expect clean lines, a modern look that says "we mean business, we are a great team, tough to beat" A good design CAN achieve that. My first impression of the new kit is that there is too much gold, which I would rather not see as I feel that it is old fashioned and decorative rather than purposeful in the way I have tried to explain.🤩

At first glance it looks like a great design. Better than last season’s which I thought looked cheap. I get why people considering without logo, but I also think the shirt looks empty without it. Will probably wait for away shirts before deciding, but I definitely need a new shirt. ⚽️
money rules the League and with tighter restrictions clubs like ours gotta squeeze every cent while we can. It’s great we get a sponsor-less option.
Not keen on the collar, looks too tight, prefer a v line or button collar. Good to get Tommy and Pughie involved in promoting it.😅

The new Home kit is nice, but I will get my name and my age number on my Birthday list in January. But the sponsorship is not the ideally to me but I might give it a shot and my rating is I would give a 10/10. 😁
The 88 bit upsets me the most with its obnoxious political connotation. Also being sponsored by a betting company is a no no. Nice shirt though. 🙄

If the new kit is all you have to worry with you've had a damn fine life. It's only a shirt after all no law says that you must purchase it.

Will wait and see but there is a high chance we will do the same. Or perhaps we will wait until PL fans have got the long list of inevitable jokes out their system.
There’s 3 annoying things about this shirt that really miff me. 🤦🏻♂️
1- It’s such a beautiful home shirt ruined. I got out my 14/15 Carbrini Shirt earlier to have a look and I am debating trying to fit into it for the new season, I was 11 when I brought it though that season (hopefully it’s not 30+ degrees at forest)
2- if I wear that sponsored shirt say on the tram in Nottingham in a couple of weeks or wherever around the country and people don’t understand football sponsorships they will laugh at me.
3- if the club has such a lucrative deal with the Las Vegas brand like the match last season when we all got purple shirts why didn’t they just put that on the front of the shirt in gold, it would look so much more appealing. I hate to say it but Leeds in my opinion smashed it with the red bull logo, especially on the away kit.

I'm not a massive fan of gambling sponsorships, but like you said - it's largely meaningless in the grand scheme of things with all the other betting stuff going on around football. I mainly just wish the branding wasn't so dreadful. The name and the logo design is just poor and makes the shirt look cheap and tacky. Dafabet at least looked relatively decent.
There is no rationalising getting into bed with such a parasitical industry. It i s inexcusable and shows exactly what the owners of the club think of people - that they are wallets to be bled and that is all.
Totally get what you are saying, but equally, we were even complicit by competing (and winning) the Sky Bet Championship. Similarly, the league we're in now is inexorably linked to the industry. I'm not defending it, but with the perceived normalisation of the industry also comes dilution of it too.
I'm glad it's going to be eradicated - it's unhealthy and it's not right.
To play devil's advocate though (and I understand what I am about to say is tenuous), given the fine margins of success in the PL, if NOT taking a sponsorship resulted in relegation - there are also considerations and consequences for individuals that are connected with the club - both employees and fans.
Sounds like the biggest contradiction ever, but if sponsorship can improve education and people's decisions going forward, there might somehow be an "upside" to what is deemed by most of us as an immoral relationship.

Shirt sponsorship - I understand concerns but really, a logo on a football shirt doesn't really make any difference, surely? I'd rather gambling was freely spoken about and kids warned about it. As you say, gambling firms are so widely seen everywhere these days, I don't think taking their logos off a shirt will stop anyone gambling.
The shirt is very nice but I'd only buying the sponsorless version.
Teams in stripes apparently look taller! And using black in that, with matching shorts and socks, will make us look imposing!
The kit is nice, not awesome, just nice. I love the nod to the first promotion to the PL, in that respect the club are respecting our history & credit to them for that. I'm not a fan of the big stripes though, I wasn't a fan of them 10 years ago either! I prefer the thinner stripes myself. I don't dislike it but I'm not going to be head of the queue to buy it either. As to the sponsor - the logo is way to big - 4 pixels by 1 pixel would still be too big, so disappointed the club have sold their souls to that type of sponsor although that is easy for me to say as I'm not the one who has to balance the books. 🤷♀ If I do buy one it will be sponsorless. 🍒🍒🍒

The sponsor and its logo is not worse or better than other sponsors.(toyota 😵💫) The idea of putting a name or logo of the sponsor is appalling and immoral. I thought the design of the shirt otherwise is very classy. Good thing is you can buy it without the sponsor logo.
