- An unsponsored and honest review of the hospitality experience at AFC Bournemouth in the "Cherry Orchard". What do you get for your money? How much does it cost? Is it worth the money? What did we think of the experience?
We go behind the scenes for a matchday “on the inside”, including footage from player interviews, Tom Jordan at his quizzing best, and a special presentation for one of our own - Jeff Hayward's 60th birthday.
Plus, of course, a little bit of the action as Cherries drew 2-2 with Tony Harrington’s Manchester United.

Massive shout to mezzaladesigns.co.uk for making Jeff's 60th very special, and wildwoodplus.com for sponsoring the table ❤
Nice change of pace for a matchday vlog. So cool of Jeff's work to set yall up for the day.
I know it was not Jeff’s actual birthday, it was a few days earlier??? 😂😂😂 Happy 60th, mate, looks like you had a fantastic football party… great stuff!! 👏👏👏⚽️⚽️
Really enjoyed this one. Provides a whole different perspective. Presentation of the food was lovely. Seems a perfect role for Fletch, too. 😊
For overseas fans who come once a season it is a good way to go
Tigz and Jeff 9/10 for dress sense
Sam 7/10
Tom 5/10
Cheers Sam for the vlog, glad you enjoyed the experience, of wearing a jacket and smart trousers to a football match!!! I would only experience once/twice a season for a special occasion/celebration. UTCIAD 🍒🍒🍒🍒
I really enjoyed seeing that side of things, so thanks. We've come a long way from the days when I stood behind the goal as a nipper singing about Archers pies and pasties. Also, I used to chant "Cox Out". I was 10...I didn't even know that it could stand for anything else!
Happy Birthday Jeff - you don’t look 60 , must be all those glamorous women you’ve visited whilst delivering Milk Tray …..
Tom’s Midge Ure tribute outfit looked good too .
Really enjoyed this. Thinking about a one off match in hospitality. It’s half my season ticket!🥴
Love this!
Fairplay to Supa, saying it as it is on stage with Christie.
That decision was a disgrace and there are so many parallels you can draw with other teams.
VAR isn't fit for purpose, it's ruining the game and needs to go!
Then it's down to ref at the time
Yes, refs got it wrong a lot before VAR, but VAR that was supposed to erase all doubt and make things fair, is actually ruining the game because the computer isn't making the decision due to it's programming and rules, it's just showing retired refs different angles and they make the call!
So what is the difference between an actual human ref and VAR? There isn't one! The final decision lies with a human, based on their interpretation of what the playback shows them!
It's a farce and I would rather an actual ref than a computer that records footage for the same refs to misinterperate and get the decision. Wrong anyway!
Yes I'm a Bournemouth fan and sound bitter, but that's not the case, I've been saying if for years now, it needs to stop!
Furthermore....
If you are going to keep VAR, why not make it nationwide so that all divisions have it?
That answer is that all the money is in the top flight and there are so many flaws and so much corruption, the lower leagues are not worth the hassle
Basically there is nothing in it and nothing to be gained for suspect calls outside of the prem.
It's disgusting and I hate it, just get rid!
First goal came from overwatering the pitch. I mean, Dom managed to stay up but ignore that.
Great summary of the hospitality experience. Perfect birthday present.
Interesting vid, Sam. Undoubtedly, the whole hospitality thing will become increasingly important, particularly when we move into the new stadium. Nothing against it, so long as we remember to retain plenty of moderately priced tickets for those of lesser means, particularly the young. They are the future lifeblood of this club. Hope we don't forget about them in the scramble for the corporate dollar.
Class vid as usual 🍒
Great video guys! Very insightful into a hospitality experience 👍. Hope Jeff had a good day.
Disgusting seats for the money...
Probably one of my your best vlogs IMO
Would have expected better seating positionally too
That massively shocked me. The rest I thought looked great. You’d be expecting middle of the pitch seats.
Loved this vlog
Miss the 1910 bar just annoying it’s been turned into a hospitality area 😂
Nah , one in one out , forever to get served , overcrowded . Don’t miss it .
@@NickGillings-vf3yeTrue but I always got there early so I never had to worry thankfully but it was crowded at times 🍒
@@rickygrimshaw1255 Fair enough mate , my own fault for getting there late 😄🍻
I know Toms favourite part of the day was undercutting that bloke on the tiebreaker question and winning the quiz 😂
Good job you didn't win or the superstition would hut and you would have to do hospitality every week.
Thanks Sam
Great to see what you get for your money and your time 🎉
Love it!
Great vlog
Thanks for that, but it's a no from me - a couple of pints and a bag of chips would do me fine ta, £300 a pop think only companies can afford that kinda bill ( as they can put against their tax ) 🤔
In terms of Hospitality at AFCB, I have been very lucky enough to do it a few times through work, with someone else footing the bill. Also, I have done it, at a couple of other Premier League clubs
The experience is on par with other clubs, who are all expensive IMO.
Would I personally pay for it out of my own pocket, probably no but many people are more wealthy than me.
It is a choice thing and whilst we are in the Premier League, it largely forms an attractive Sales opportunity for many Companies, for entertaining their clients
Intresting
Great review Sam...many/any Man U fans in there?
Well done Tom on the Matt Le Tissier stat but they should have clarified as by Premier League they meant 1992 onwards. Matt actually had 443 top division matches but he made his debut in 1986/87.
I think they did say Premier League at the time but that part may have been cut from the vlog. PS: They did have another tie-breaker before this question by guessing Rio Ferdinand’s PL apps, but both Tom and his opponent were 122 out (either side!). Absolute madness!
@@afcbpodcast I'd have guessed 470 for Rio.
Steve sounding like a man that knows his Harvester, but not his Fat Duck.
I especially liked the sweet potato reference, for what was just potato 😂
C'mon guys, I had had a few pints and wasn't expecting to have a channel my inner Gregg Wallace. By the way, Havester is a tad up market, I was thinking more Burger King! 😂
I wasnt sure if i watching Ian Goode, not Ross Goode.
Chip off the old block, and to think, Ross was approx 5 years old when i worked for his dad.
Question is do you get a home point ???
Yes. If the ticket is allocated to your account, you do.
Did the rolly also come with Steve’s food 😅
To confirm, that is not included in the Hospitality Package!😂
Think the ref was smoking it
The ref was smoking something a lot stronger than my rolly!😂
what is kings plaza like ??
Haven't done the Kings Plaza experience yet.
Rip off
