No clashing in this video. Once again talksport with their click bait titles
Mate I’m all fairness talksport was doing clickbait before clickbait was invented .
Where is the CLASH ???
They love a clickbait title
CLASH means Discuss in Talksport world. 👍
The headlines are always rubbish
They broke up years ago. Joe Strummer RIP.
There is never a clash.
Troy moaning about the cost of a real madrid shirt from real madrid world in Dubai 😂
Haha and you could almost see the lump in his throat when he mentioned having to buy his daughter a pair of boots after being PAID to wear them all his career. Plus, sounds like he's bought her the elite/.1 versions so could've bought cheaper but still good ones
Absolutely deluded clown. Poor him having to go to Dubai
The irony is now that's it's the classic / vintage shirts that are the most popular now 😂
Normally a bit cheaper too.
Just buy the cheap knockoff kits. They look the exact same just obvs won't last as long in the wash
They do last as long now though. Been buying them for the last 5 yrs and they've improved considerably
To be fair I've got an authentic Adidas Arsenal shirt that cost nearly £100 that started falling to bits after about 3 washes.
Literally don't know anyone who buys genuine football shirts these days and fully understand why
Nothing you do is best in class. You’re Peterborough owner
When he said that I raised an eyebrow! I suppose he means ‘best in class at our level’
Lol. Burn 😂
Parents who complain about the price of kits are the same parents who give their kids £500+ phones every Christmas 🙄
Facts I used to get a football kit as a kid every Christmas from my grand parents… I’ve never got an iPhone had to buy that as an adult 😂
almost like a phone and shirt aren't comparable and this is a bad faith argument. You sure well know phones are important in society these days and are a safety measure. Now whether someone can afford an expensive phone every xmas is up to them, but pocket watching other people isn't a great look, you don't know the situation of others.
@@matthewm3869 If i can't afford stuff.. i won't get it. Either that or save up.
Clubs can charge whatever they want…
If fans want to pay those prices it’s their decision. End of.
Personally, I wait until the clearance sale happens in March/April.
Buy in China. Just as good
If it's too expensive don't buy it. Simple
Simple my brother 😂
And when food is to expensive don't buy it.. Simple
@@patrickmcdonagh539food is a necessity. A football kit isnt dummy
So if my rents too high don’t pay it? Idiot 😂
@@patrickmcdonagh539 You're not very smart are you? What a shame.
I've a site in China that does a replica so good u couldn't tell the difference. 17 euro. I'll never pay those high prices again.
What site is this
Replicas is bad quality
@@philip4588 not on this site. You can't tell the difference.
@philip4588 I went into sport shop and bout real jersey for 80 euro and returned it using the replica. Got refund.
@@TheGeneral_LUFCavarage scouser economy😂 probably surviving on soup
Football kits are clearly over-priced and exploit fans. However, there is such a thing as saying no, or shopping around for older/retro kits, where it's possible to get some real bargains.
I don’t care what these two think. I need to hear Rory Jennings insightfully slamming the whole deal.
0:09 that pause made it sound like the question was, " if I were to go out and buy a little lad or little girl?"
I think people are forgetting the main thing here, you don’t NEED to buy your kids the latest kits. No matter how much they cry about it.
Tell me you don't have kids without telling me you don't have kids!
@@jonhuntefc I have kids and I’ve bought them several kits over the years but they understand that money doesn’t grow on trees as well. Soft parenting is always the problem.
What you say is true. But i thought there was some kind of rule where they kept kits for two years? If that was a thing has it been scrapped now?
In my opinion they should have to keep them for two years.
Three new kit every season is a piss take
U sad twat u ain't got kids show this to your family and see how proud they are 👏👏👏👏👀
£85 for a Madrid kids kit seems about right...£25 more for a Peterborough kit seems like a (Real) deal
Get on DHgate
I was gonna put that all my shirts I've got loads of them cost altogether cheaper than Real Madrid real kit
Yh and soccer04 the wash superb
@@randomas5565soccer03 is unreal
A Scarf will suffice.Or next time you are on holiday in SE Asia, buy any PL shirt for a tenner.
Never bought a football shirt in my life, I am a fan not a player. I look very stylish in jeans and a plain white polo shirt. PS the ladies love me
Replica kits look as real as the official ones. So for the majority of most fanbases its a no brainer.
The cost of football shirts is a total disgrace.
They're charging haute couture prices for polyester that falls to bits in the wash.
Jacking up the price every year and then blaming the fans who, quite rightly, balk at the cost and buy their shirts from China for putting up the prices further.
Exploiting fans for their loyalty then gaslighting them when they can't afford the extortionate prices.
The independent regulator needs to look at this too.
Yes EPL teams earn more but also spend more, doubt Peterborough players are on £60k per week.
Any shirt with an 🦉on it is priceless because it's a thing of beauty we are MASSIVE 🥰🥰X
Darragh needs his own show.
Yeah, away from talksport do we don’t have to listen to his nonsense
He's cringey as hell...pound shop Simon Jordan end of
If you know where to search esaily get thr kits cheaper
Boots prices ain’t changed at all they been 250 for like 15years
He actually called Jim an idiot to his face 💀
I get mine on shopee for around 5-6 quid.
Darragh is a great addition to the show
just buy a retro kit, they are much cooler and less than half price
Here’s my predicament? It’s nearly £100 for a kit and I’ve the choice of Everton(castore)? Real Madrid(adidas)£100?Barcelona (nike)£100?
Of course a businessman would defend the extortionate prices. Just like the £10 burgers etc
Thats cheap
And why can’t you charge £30 you can buy sports shirts that are exactly the same as kite just with out sponsor ship and badges on them for about a £10-£15
Because the kit supplier charges more than 30quid that's why. I'm not defending the ridiculous prices these days but people think the club gets them for free
@@jonhuntefc exactly - prem clubs are usually paid by the kit manufacturer and then get commission on top..... lower league teams dont have deals with the manufacturer, they deal with third parties who buy the kits and sell them to club. the club might earn something based on how many sold but not until the third party has a good profit. clubs in lower leagues make hardly anything from shirts these days
I used to get the fake ones on holiday as a child and I was delighted
I get the lower league shirt prices. No problem with that at all. Liverpool have a stadium shirt which is expensive and a player shirt which is even more expensive. I don't buy them anymore
Kits are expensive but so is living, you have to pick and choose your battles, every other Christmas I buy myself whichever Liverpool kit I like the most. I think this is one area people just have to accept, you don’t NEED a football kit every single year
More expensive here in Norway, holding back to buy some kits.
I get what DM is saying but putting a kit at say £35 your bound to sell more so it should break even? Also the fact your a walking advertisement for the club when you wear it out. Some of these kits are extortionate especially the elite tier clubs. I usually wait till the sales come on to get my teams top for when I play or train but that's about it I don't generally buy them full price. I can afford it but don't think its right.
Dundee FC infant full kit (up to ages 5-6) £45, which I think is mad. another £15 if you want a name and number on the back. DHGate must've made a fortune in the lead up to the Euros
Troy gave out about the price of jerseys while all the family in dubai on holiday😂😂😂
I don’t think they understand what clash means
I wish there was this much outrage and discussion for energy / insurance / food prices, they’ve pretty much doubled in the last few years, and they’re a necessity, got us by the balls
Whereas 30 years ago football shirts were £50, and now they’re £80, it’s really not that deep, if they’re too expensive don’t buy them simple, if you don’t raise spoilt kids they’ll accept it
But we Have No Choice but to Buy Them. NO CHOICE!!!!
He'll be scratching his head when fans but knockoffs. If you haven't increased your fan share but have increased income, you're essentially fleecing loyal supporters.
No chance is Peterborough paying £30 per shirt lke he insinuates
FOOK ME. EVEN NON LEAGUE SHIRTS COST AROUND 40 POUNDS FKING HELL.
Shirts should be 40-45 max!
I used to work with the main fabric manufacturer in SE Asia for Adidas, UA and later Nike. While they didn't cut the shirt (just manufactured the fabric) the owner's son who i got on well with said he estimated the cost of an adult shirt to be about 150thb.
My motto is- buy the lower league club teams because they need all the revenue they can get. The big team shirts ie Real madrid..Man Utd..Barcelona..Psg etc, buy the fakes on holiday every few years. Cost you a £10 so you can afford a few and not worry when they get worn and torn.
My kids are 7 and 88. £90 for each spurs kit last season. But this season. This season I've got them early, entire kit for £55 each, home and away. Even that's alot. New England kit was £55 aswell. But an adult shirt is £125
You've got a kid aged 88? How old are you??
@@shaunmccartney4294 🤣🤣 you beat me to it 🤣🤣
Troy’s kids don’t understand the word no. Feel sorry for them
And how can you make that assumption because he bought his kids football kits ? 😂
@@nyallsmith320 he said that he spoils them. Parents are supposed to be parents not Santa Claus
When people complain about the cost an adult kit being £100+ …who the hells buys a adult kit
When they kit they mean shirt ONLY
Anyone over the age of 15 should not be wearing a football top. Give yourself a wobble if you are you utter tramp
I got the champions of Europe top when Chelsea won the champions league and it was £130 😂😂😂
West Ham Youth Kit is £105 + £15 for name and number....£120 is criminal.
Am I imagining it, or was it the norm back in the mid 90"s for clubs to have the same shirt for a couple of seasons? I'm sure it was the case.
MacAnthony chatting shite 😂
Love to hear Simon view of this matter
It's exactly the same as this millionaire 😂😂😂
Just don’t keep giving your kids everything they ask for and spend within your means!
We're are you going for these kits 80 for an adults man u top and 50 for my 6 year olds kit from JD
Accrington Stanley go to our primary schools and give a free shirt to every 7/8 year old in the town
So Darragh says, it's ok to rip his fans off because he wants to compete with other clubs who earn more money. How about cut your cloth accordingly & attract more fans/gate receipts through promotions. Rather than take the hand out of your fans
It’s simple kits are an absolute rip off now haven’t bought one for years and the more the fans are priced out and say forget that the greedy clubs and manufacturers will eventually learn
20 quid and its better quality than the real one.
What a stupid comment from
Jim about lower league shirts being cheaper, Why? They’re the same quality and the value to a fan of the team is the same
Robbie on AFTV bought the new Arsenal away shirt…….£110 (just the shirt)
Its a silly debate to have with those two guests, the greed in football has a knock on affect, the game needs someone strong to regulate it, there needs to be cap on wages and transfer fees but also within that clubs need to be able run their clubs how they see fit too.
It would be good if football gave back to the supporters like making a kit that lasts for two seasons like it use too.
Troy making out £175 boots were the only option. Joker!
Troy Deeney absolute rubbish!!! you just dont live in the same world as everyone else, parents needs to take control and not bow do to their kids needs its okay for you but not everyone else
Still waiting for the clash?
Where was the clash,?
For every one moaning, just use DH Gate 😂
£85 to £140 for Liverpool top 🙈
Who?
so why cap league 1 and 2 clubs £30 a shirt - do they have poorer fans? is their shirt less valuable to them as opposed to a prem club? why make to gap between prem and lower league bigger by allowing prem clubs to charge anything on top of their already massive incomes and make lower league lose more money. its one of the most ridiculous suggestions ive heard in football. !
The guy on the left is absolutely deluded and is missing the point. To get the next generation of fans you need to be offering lower price kids tickets, low cost kids shirts ect. Yes I accept lower league clubs can’t afford this, however I know for a fact that Championship and Premier League clubs could stomach selling an under 11’s shirt and shorts for £30 - £40. As soon as DHgate cotton on and start offering non top 6 clubs gear they will make a killing.
i say it again 1 weeks wages at my club would sell out the home stadium 6 times. that could be used too lower all tickets or offer younger generation with families a better deal, like buy an adult ticket and and pay only £5 for child.
lets talk about that i havent dont maths on other teams like man u but would be similar if not more home matches like 7 or 8 if players gave up one weeks pay.
£65 for a Southampton one for a 7 year old.
Shirt only
Jim on the daft statements again...😂
Tbh I blame the parents for spending high amounts...can't moan about it. Just don't buy it. I'm sure the children will be ok..at worst wait till end of the season when the kits go down more than 50%
Now THAT, was heated. 🔥
140 quid for boots for a 4 year old? More fool them then.
Leeds United do leisure wear.
If you are buying your kids both home and away shirts and not asking them to pick one then my sympathy is less
It's no wonder the snide trade is so big!
Meh just always get last seasons kit as the price halves
fans are getting put through the ringer.
So your man wants to compete with bigger clubs by fleecing their fans?
in zante. got son ronaldo top. obs fake. he doesn't know the difference. 20 euros.
Ask Darragh how much he pays per shirt from the supplier before selling it on...
living in germany lidil sold the masscots kit shorts top socks 7 euros. my 9 year old as soon as its out wash its on again. your telling me kids stips should be 60 euros fffffffffff off. football will die as kids cant go watch it cant get a top especialy in europe we have loads of other sports
85 quid for a top at the Toon one of the largest food banks less than 2 miles from the ground. 30 bob the cost to be made in sweat shops in the far east and the poor parents getting shafted by the richest club on the planet. We are living on Fantasy Island and we bow to players that struggle to live on 100k a week. Ive never bought a suit that cost more than 30 quid and that will probably be the suit I get layed out in.
Darragh will not clash with deeney - too scared.
Wolves breaking the mould making their own sports brand now. Sudu will pocket them big times whilst reducing the price of kits for each fan. VERY very smart.
Wait 1 year and they are half price or less
Was he really expecting cheap kits in Dubai?
Troy - tie you laces.
Kids should be for 2 seasons
Colour clash of socks by looks of it
Oh look who it mr know it all troy deeney
Troy, well i have 4, also millions in the bank
These prices are a joke, be commented on by three extremely rich chaps. Absolutely no reality
Dont buy it end of story
Clash???
Solid click bate again
Maybe their shirts clashed in the studio but that's the extent that you're going to get from this video. That was a pointless 7 minutes of my life that i'll never get back... Thanks
