This is the first interview I've seen of him. Didn't expect his voice to sound like this. no clue how I thought it would sound tho.
I love this guy! Aside from having some amazing genes, I think he looks younger because his face is fuller and less gaunt, he's probably getting more rest since he's not always touring and he's (hopefully) able to have a normal schedule and spend time with family. I miss MCR's music and hope they'll one day give us another album. But it's nice seeing Gerard's other talents until then!

I miss MCR so much but I am extremely happy that Gerard is haply and smiling. That to me means more than anything else.
Great interview/conversation: He is so knowledgeable, perfect for his craft. I'm trying to get the timeline. He says it's too early in April to know what characters he's using, this intv sounds like it's partly brainstorming. His comics start coming out in Sept, how long does it take to create one; there's creation, design, drawing, coloring; seems like 5 months is not a lot of time. I literally can not wait to read Doom Patrol and Shade. I've never liked comics, not even cartoons that much, but I see Gerard putting a new heart, spin, and purpose into them and I'm VERY interested.
I agree! I never got into comics but I've started to because I'm so interested in what he is doing. I read the Killjoys comic and loved it, and I've started UA. I feel sorta like a poser because I'm not a "comic book fan," but I'm interested in what he's doing. :)
Cassie White haha Not a poser, a true fan that is willing to check out all his art. He said that he is bringing a new audience to comics - and you know, that's really cool. He gets the chance to share his deepest love with his fans and audience. To bring them into his world has got to be the ultimate joy.

came here looking for some MCR talk but... but Gerard is over that. he's moved on, and I love comics I have like 200gigabytes of comics and I'm happy to see Gerard working on something I can still connect to. I hope your as happy as you portray in all these vlogs I have seen after the break up. also I love what Gerard has planned for Gotham and Doom

I've heard of The Umbrella Academy and I want to read it I really do, it reminds me of X-men, quite honestly, I've never really been like a Big fan of comics but my appreciation for them has grown in the past year or so. Gerard Way is an excellent author for amazingly creative comics, an amazing man that has done so many amazing things for people every where, he has save so many lives, and created an idea that is still alive today. We love you gee, we miss you but we are glad that you're happy and healthy.

We all miss MCR, but look how happy he is! Look how happy Frank is! We don't know much about Ray but he has a family! Mikey has a baby on the way! (see what I did there) We have to respect that they are doing their own things and that MCR will not come back. As heartbreaking as it is, the guys are happy so we have to be happy for them xx
