I never wear drugstore foundations. I did when I was younger but this almost 47 year old face can’t do it. I’ll stick to my Glow Recipe skin care and Saie products! Keep doing what you do best girl!! Be well ❤

Havent seen you try Trinny London. Complexion products called BFF. The original, Skin Perfector, which has SPF30, is similar to this Almay but they do have several shades. Not really any coverage but it does what it says. Sometimes I use it on its own or as a primer. Also love the De-stress which has a bit more coverage. After wearing this for over 12 hours my skin still looks good. I even think it looks better the longer it's on. The 3rd one is Re-Balance which is matte and has the most coverage of all 3. Theres also BFF Eye. Fair coverage but I need a corrector or concealer on top due to having very dark circles and those damn troughs but it does help that area look conditioned and moisturised.
The Elta Md is the only ‘tinted sunscreen’ that I love!! It’s so good!! Just enough for everyday…just spot cover and it’s great all the time!!

My favorite color-matching foundation is the Erborian CC Cream. Have you tried any of their products? I don't see anything by them on your website. Also, their Centella cleansing oil is the BEST for my aging, dry-ish skin.

Sorry Shelly, but when you held up that tube, I laughed. Loudly. I remember trying this when it was a new thing (pre-UA-cam) and forcing myself to use it up because we had kids and house payments. It was only Light/Medium and Medium/Dark back then, if I remember right. Then I saw it again about 5 years ago and it was three shades and labeled “improved” after being off the shelf for quite a while.
On me, not only was the color uneven, the patchiness was over the top no matter how much I tried to blend. And the patches were brown. And you know that skin tone-wise, we are very similar. When you were reading the new claims, I was still chuckling. Then you started turning orange. I’m sorry, but giving them a C-, which I predicted you would, was generous. I might have gone D+.
Now there were some things they did reasonably well years ago. I don’t know if anyone here remembers when they did the small eyeshadow kits based on your eye color back in the 90s, but those were wonderful for people like me who didn’t know how to get nice looks even with the diagram how-tos in magazines. (The struggle is real.). I could actually do my eyeshadow and have my middle schoolers compliment my efforts when they came into the room in the morning. In fact, they used to ask me what was up if they saw me wearing makeup. (Having a baby/toddler/preschooler didn’t give me much time in the morning getting her to daycare and me to school. Hubby left early because his office was on the far other side of the metro.)
You should exchange it for the lighter shade and see if that works better. If you do decide to to that, i would love to see an update lol

I tried this and it's ok, I'll use it on the weekend but need more coverage on a daily basis. I think it might be nice at the end of the summer when you have a natural glow.
Shelly, Have you ever done a video using Fiera concealer as your foundation? I know you like it as a concealer. Apparently a lot of people like it as a foundation but kinda pricey to use it that way for such a little tube.
I haven't tried that! I'd have the same concern - using half a tube for one makeup look lol.
The stunning eye look distracts completely from the foundation.

Reformulated or no since I tried it... but mine was gritty, drying and didn't match at all.
I think I tried this a while ago, and it was way too orange. Anything with niacinamide is a no for me anyway. I recently tried the Wet n Wild tinted hydrator and I love it! Thanks for recommending that.

Hey Shelly, the products listed in the Description don't match with what you're showing us. Though I'm sure happy to see a different look from the Midsummer eyeshadow palette; it seems everyone else went for the green shades. I love the use of the pink sparkly liquid topper, and that blush is so pretty on you, even though you don't like the smell. Thanks for the video!
I haven’t tried the reformulated version. It doesn’t sound very promising, though. I tried the original version and didn’t like it one bit. It turned so orange on me. I chucked it straight in the garbage.

Hi Shelley this was straight up orange (they do the same thing on me) and C minus was generous as I thought it was absolutely terrible. If you can then return it, as it's only fit for the garbage - bright orange, patchy, clung to every hair it could find and had no coverage anyway. Terrible and the worst I've seen you try for ages. This type of product only really looks ok on medium to tan skintones tbh and there is no magic colour adjusting - the pigment beads break as you massage them in, giving the only shade it was ever going to turn into (mostly orange). Best wishes.
I admit that when she held up the tube, I laughed. I tried this when it was first introduced eons ago, again about 5 years ago when it was “improved” and vowed never again. The patchiness was horrendous then and the color darkened to brown.
I remember way back when Shelly reviewed the Pacifica foundation and swatch help at Ulta (pre-plague) matched me to her shade, so I can pretty much go with her review shades and be pretty good. If it looks weird on her, I run in the opposite direction.
I like some Alma products but their foundations have never worked for me.
Those white 'self adjust' foundations never work for me. Even the so called 'light' shade always turns me dark orange!! 🍊 😄

Almay had a foundation I LOVED and wore for a few years (TLC), but they changed the formula (of course).
