Depression is something we let happen when we stop paying attention to how we let our world effect us. And wallowing in it, is a waste if life. I have many reasons to be extremely depressed. Depression isn't a choice, it's something that crept onto people without knowing, it's especially prevalent in people who are workaholic, the only people who I know aren't in severe depression are fools who make choices out of their heart regardless of the concequences of their choice. The more ignorant and uneducated someone is, the more likely that person to be not depressed.

Ryan just died of pride and did not have the will to survive. This is survival you have to be able and willing to do everything to live no matter what the group is not organised they still live as if at home, with No leadership, division of labor just a bunch of guys aimlessly hoping for the best No drive. In survival, you need to follow the PLAN. Protection (shelter, fire), Location (set out beacons for rescue, etc), Acquisition (Food, Water, Resources), and Navigation (Action to escape).

There used to be a show were 2 survivalist were dropped together in random places and they had to get to the rescue spot which would take days to find.

It's the opposite of a good leader, and in a real survival situation you need to get rid of this type because tehy could push someone to kill itself just because this persone does not act in a way that please him.

I find it hilarious that the group knows scorpions, spiders and snakes like to hide and shelter in piles of wood. Yet the old man makes a big pile of wood vs. spreading it out or using it as some kind of retainer wall and then slowly working through it as you need to cut up firewood😂

This is a pastige of once at a time flick called "Serviver". One thing remains a puzzle... how the camera batteries gets its juice. I didn't see any solar system or other magic systems. Correct me if I am wrong.

@@cristinaflorina9538as a military veteran I can tell you when your deployed in unpleasant conditions tempers fray quicker, and there is a correlation to age that when there are tasks to do the younger people don’t necessarily have the experience to know what tasks need doing and when they need doing so often they require guidance and direction to help nurture experiences. In this instance some ppl were very rapidly to judge without offering advice . At least there was a couple in there that took him under their wing to teach him how to develop new skills , young adults do also have a tendency to overdramatise situations and blow things out of proportion, as Ryan did multiple times through these episodes. There were several lazy people in this , dean did very little , Craig was just as useless , and the ex-copper didn’t do much ….he waffled a good job but rarely backed it up with actions ….he did sleep a lot between rants!.

That's true but sometimes the experience and patience of an older man as well as the wisdom that can come with age can be a valuable asset in some survival situations
Except this show has already proved your theory wrong. The old man has done way more work than Ryan, doesn't waste everyone's resources like Ryan, is exponentially more intelligent, and more mature leading to a better survivormate. Ryan living with his Mom and sister at his age sure hasn't done him any favors.

Pmsl , yup the weight loss and sand fly bites as well as injuries were scripted so much they looked genuine, its so easy to script the arrival of stingrays and WILD animals lol , im not saying some things weren’t strategically made available such as nets and stuff, but the show is about how ppl react under tough conditions , it not about whether the show “ assists “ if the people are so incompetent they need to be provided a food source, clearly the show wouldn’t actually let anyone get so ill that their life would be in danger. Just take the show on face value . If nothing else it is teaching some ppl watching that have zero survival skills how to actually do something .
