I think it's amazing how appreciated this movie is finally becoming. I always loved this movie and Man Of Steel, I think they're masterpieces.

I've always maintained a ~2hr45m version of BvS was probably the best version possible in theatres. When you start cutting more you lose some important character/plot beats which just makes the movie worse. Recent movies like JW4, No time to die, Wakanda Forever, The Batman etc have shown that audiences are willing to show up for a longer movie. I think a longer theatrical cut of BvS probably doesnt get ravaged by critics for being incomprehensible, and makes ~$900M-1B in the box office.
Some of this was lost on me because all I watch now is the Ultimate Edition, same with Watchmen. Great job! I would love to watch your cut.
Lois knew to get the spear because she heard about the lightning coming from the ship. She knew the ship was Kryptonian and the beast was Kryptonian, she pieced it together.
This reconstruction uis like putting a band aid on a gunshot wound.
Lois knew the creature was from the scoutship, so probably Kryptonian. The spear worked agaisnt Kryptonians. Lois is shown to be extremely smart throughtout the movie. Its not a big leap at all.
I dont think this movie is a Masterpiece but I still think it's a good movie

I loved the film at first back in March 2016, but as the years have gone on I've begun to understand a lot of the issues plaguing the film. However, the visuals, music, and some of the narrative I absolutely adore, and I think that stems from me being in the minority that really likes Man of Steel.
The Knightmare sequence was beautiful.

I think it's definitely the best looking zach snyder movie.
The only thing I didn’t like about the movie was Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

Zulhazreen zulkifli he was noticeably unstable less than halfway through the movie with the way he’s twitching and freaking out in front of all his own guests when he talks at the party, which includes the rich well to do, movers and shakers and the media.

Pretty decent film but in the original version, I felt the main bad guy was a little generic.

I didn't get mad when Batman killed. Zack should just accept and be proud of it. Instead of joking about it or deflecting. I saw Batman as the bad guy, so obviously you're not supposed to like what the bad guy does, even if he's a character you do like. Just like how The Dark Knight Returns villinized Superman. But what ruins the film is when Batman learns to be better than what he was, yet when he goes to save Martha, he still kills people! I thought Superman "saved him from himself" as the defenders of this film have said in comments. What's the point of having the movie build up to Batman learning not to kill, then still kills?
Zack just has a tougher stance on criminals. If you choose to shoot a minigun at close proximity, Batman will not care what happens to you. It is the criminals choice to attack, Batman will do what it takes. Zack dislikes the ludicrous plot devices to keep Batman not killing intact. Or strange fabrications like: "I am not going to kill you" but I will let you drop to your death from way up here. Batman's real change was him getting upright again, seeing what's good. Where before he saw whats bad, looking at Superman and seeing him going rogue. Not having faith in the humanity in Superman keeping him on the right path

Next to Justice League, Batman Vs Superman is the absolute worst movie in the current DC cinematic universe.
It has nothing to do with disliking the director or not wanting him to have his vision, it's just a disjointed and badly told story.
Zack Snyder has made movies I really enjoy and there are some good movies in the DCU, but this ain't one of them chief.
I guess the best way I can sum it up is this... They actually managed to make Batman fighting Superman, boring...
Just really think about that for a minute, this movie has two of the most iconic characters of all time duking it out, and it managed to bore people.
Everything leading up to that fight is tedious and dumb, the fight is underwhelming, then they make up in 10 seconds and go fight some CGI for the climax...
Zack Snyder is at his best when he has source material he is working directly from (300, Watchmen) and he has made some movies I love.
I firmly believe that if someone had just given him a copy of the Dark Knight Returns and said "make exactly that", we might have ended up with a great film.
