    People complained about Age of Ultron, but at least that movie was fun as hell to watch and still kept the heroes in character. This movie however bored me. It's not Fantastic 4 levels of bad, but it's not that good either.

      ***** but you saying because this movie is bad everyone can't critise AoU anymore. some of your points you say about the movie i don't agree with either. are banner and widow in character when they suddenly have romantic feelings for each other for no explained reason (it make lois and superman look lime romeo and fucking Juliet) is hawkeye in character when he suddenly brings the entire team of avengers to his home to meet his family. is ultron in character making stupid jokes about omelettes. only when i read comics or watch cartoons he was a cold, dark, calculating machine who was also a hell of alot stronger too.
      then the generic avengers vs faceless army.
      i personally prefer BvS

    I am 100 percent curious if this film's script would have received a passing grade at any film school. This was seriously one of the worst stories I have ever come across in a movie, let alone a film that features DC's three biggest heroes in Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman.
    Too many moving parts. Nothing came together in cohesion. It felt like some director's wet dream in attempt at making an artsy film (an overload of dream sequences) instead of an exciting superhero flick. I came in realizing the critical consensus wasn't good, but I hoped beyond all hope that this movie would be somewhat OK. It wasn't.

      +The 54th Deadline You know what is funny I had the same feeling as this guy as soon as the credits started everybody left the theater drained sitting through 2 and a half hours. No this would have gotten the screenwriter /editor/director thrown out of school what a mess this movie was how do you ruin batman, superman, and wonder woman in a movie have zack snyder involved in it :-(

    • @DN-lu9ky

      joe b It broke a lot of movie rules in a bad way, like telling and not showing. For example, the part where it just glossed over Batman stealing the Kryptonite from Luthor's company without actually showing Batman doing it. Just seeing a batarang sticking out from the display case was absurdly lazy.
      I think the movie would have been passable if it just had some action scenes sprinkled throughout the story. Now, I am not an action junkie or anything like that, nor would I think action scenes alone would have made the movie that much better... I just think the movie was horribly paced and pieced together. It was an artsy film with a superhero concept. Bad combination.

    That bullet thing made no sense. Why would Luthor give his mercenaries experimental bullets only his company can make? It just makes it easier for people to trace the plot back to him. It's not like regular guns and bullets are hard to get. And why would people even believe Superman was responsible for the massacre? Luthor's men killed the terrorists with guns. Superman doesn't use guns because he's Superman. So it should be obvious to everyone that another faction was involved. It would have made so much more sense if Luthor's troops used some kind of experimental lasers to make it look like Superman killed the terrorists.
    Almost nothing in this movie made sense and Luthor is the worst.
    I guess Luthor knows Bruce is Batman. But how was he able to perfectly manipulate Bruce into fighting Superman? Did he blow up the Capitol building just to push Batman into fighting Superman? How did he know that Batman would be able to build a robot suit and make those Kryptonite weapons? How did he know the exact time Batman would be ready to fight Superman so he could kidnap Martha to make Superman fight Batman? How did any of the Doomsday stuff make any sense at all? Did he think he could control it or was he just fine that Doomsday was going to kill the world?

      Personally, I thought it was pretty great. It definitely had some problems, but was overall a good movie. Also, do people realize that there is a batman solo movie that will be coming out? Everyone is complaining that batman kills people for no reason. What do you think the batman solo movie will explain? It would have been extremely strange for batman to explain why he is killing people to Alfred, who has been working with him throughout his career as Batman and was there for whatever event made batman start killing (probably the death of robin). Okay, rant over now!

    • @mrcampsolo
      @mrcampsolo 8 років тому +2

      +Tanner Tilkens I'm with the change but I completely understand why people hate the idea of batman killing people because it takes away from his character like on under the red hood Tim asked batman "why is the Joker still living , why didn't you kill him for taking me away from you" and batman says all I ever thought about was subjecting him to all the torture he's dealt to other then end him but that would make me like them and take me down into a darkness I won't come back from"

      +Gottfried Osterbach The plot was a mess in the second half, but I thought the first half was pretty good. If you really listen to the dialogue in the movie was excellent. The Martha part was a bit ridiculous, but people are ignoring the terrific dialogue. Especially Bruce's monologue at the beginning which I thought was brilliant. I thought the characterizations of Superman and Batman were great and spot on. The problem was the story kept jumping to these other places instead of having a central focus.

    • @sethmorgan9813
      @sethmorgan9813 8 років тому +1

      +Yohan IsraEL It had SO much more meaning than that. it's just apparently a lot of people can't think deeply anymore. It could have been a lot better, but that joke is rather dumb since people fail to comprehend the deeper meaning (which i thought was pretty clear)
      Anyway they didn't become friends because they have the same mothers name. For one that name just made Batman have flashbacks and reminisce the past and remember what it felt like feeling lost and alienated in the world. So he understood how that feels and probably wouldnt want another person to have to experience what he had to and in the beginning half of the film you see how Batman views Superman as a threat and how the world views him as a god like being, but in that fight you see Superman having hit rock bottom and basically begging Batman for help. So Batman saw Superman in a different perspective. instead of as a threat he saw him as just a human, fighting and trying to do what he can to save his mother who he loves, which probably never occurred to Batman before, That Superman basically an all powerful being can be just as human and make mistakes as everyone else. It shined light on a new veiw point that probably never occurred to Batman before. So it's so much more than just they have the same mothers name

    • @jasondiend4248
      @jasondiend4248 8 років тому +6

      +navylaks2 So it was Terrio who directed and edited this too? He wrote the first draft? It was his vision? There is only so much you can do for a shit story. Specially the guy whose story is still in control of the project. They were still doing rewrites on set. Just shows you how much of a mess this movie was. A lot of it can be fixed from cutting its run time down by eliminating scenes that do nothing for the narrative you're trying to tell. None of that was on Terrio.

    This movie failed because:1).they crammed too much shit into it.This should have been 3-4 movies not one.Instead of slowly building up their CU,similar to the way Marvel did,they just crammed everything into a 2,5 hour movie.None of the storylines goes anywhere.
    2).Plotholes galore.
    3).None of the characters resembles their comic counterparts.Batman is basically the Punisher,who at some point killed Bruce Wayne and took his identity,Superman is flying around with a look on his face like he's constantly constipated,rammin people into concrete walls(like that african terrorist/guerilla-leader),threatening Luthor to ''beak him to pieces''.Speaking of Luthor:who the hell,told Eisenberg it's a good idea to play Lex like a Jim Carrey parody of the Joker,on crystal meth?!
    4). The movie tries so hard to be gimdark,it comes off as unintenionally funny.Just watch the scene where Sups,meets Bats for the first time and threatens him(*GROWL VOICE* ''do you bleed?) or how everybody is talking straight into the camera and re-assuring that there are no civilians around,when the final fight with Doomsday starts or Luthor's final monologue in jail:''the bells are ringing,RING DING DING DING DING.pause for dramatic effect.. RING DING DING DING DING!!!!!'' I swear to God,I laughed my arse off at that scene.Or the whole Martha thing!

    This movie was very frustrating to watch ,as a Marvel fan I went from schadenfreude to fremdschämen, I prefer Marvel but I don't want DC to lose like this.
    Much like with Green Lantern, it's utterly baffling how WB/DC could have such a coherent competent animated movie and such a shit fest with the live action, there is such a massive disconnect in a studio that should in principle have their shit together.
    Seriously why are people like Alan Burnett or Paul Dini or Bruce Timm not part of the creative process in these projects?

    I have the DVD's for the cartoons in the 90's; I have a collection of my favorite comics from DC; I rush out for the animated movies they yearly make; I even still have the DC Magazines that they sold at the 7-11 when I was young...

    Yeah... I've seen a hundred and one reviews that are fairly generous, though the general consensus seems to be that it's "okay." It's refreshing to hear someone just tear the whole thing down.
    Because, really... this is something that we've been waiting for for years. Decades, even. For many of us, this was the most anticipated superhero movie of all time. We wanted... no, we NEEDED it to be GOOD. GREAT. ICONIC. A REVELATION.
    Trying to settle for "okay" sinks the bar lower than it ever should've gone.
    Especially since we live in an age where we can have a decent damn ANT-MAN movie. Freaking ANT-MAN. Freaking GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. No one ever even HEARD of these guys, and they knocked it out of the PARK.
    This was Batman and Superman.
    "Okay" is a failing grade.

    fuck it HERE IS HOW YOU DO THIS MOVIE!
    1. start out with the JL movie, fuck the origin stories. its getting tiring anyway
    2. make it clear that supes and bats don't like each other and have clear ideological differences as they fight together
    3. have a few movies go by, rushing this was stupid
    4. have bats come up with counter measures for the JL in case they go AWOL (he actually does this in other mediums)
    5. just as they warm up to each other, supes finds out. he is devastated and now has a very real reason to fight bats
    6. bats misunderstands supes and vice versa
    7. more plot happens (not putting much thought into the details)
    8. they go to blows
    9. SOMEONE ACTUALLY FUCKING WINS, none of this "we are going to be friends crap during the fight"
    10. make the effects of the fight permanent, whatever they may be
    fuck me, give me all that Hollywood money for giving you a far superior outline. you know whats sad though? this movie will still make money because of the "fans", real fans don't accept garbage from something they love.

      Spider-Man 3 is not even the worst of the franchise. BvS is so terrible, it makes The Amazing Spider-Man 2 look good.
      It's so bad, it makes The Last Airbender look not all that bad.
      Edit: At least M. Night Shyamalan made the movie easy to follow along and give it a rich color pallet.

    Lex was acting umder orders to make the earth defenseless against Darkseid, hence getting bm and sm to kill each other.BM spent his deranged life putting his life on the line to save others and was shocked when SM cared more about someone else than his own life. on and on. What ruined the film for me? The film had way too many montages and dream sequences; it flashed back, it flashed forward and even sideways a couple of times.
    I guess they were trying to introduce Aqua Man and other future characters but it was so badly done. Why introduce characters in such a ham-fisted way if they are not even part of the immediate story?

      +Ian Crutchfield The concept of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in the same film is cool. However, their execution was just horrible. The premise of introducing us to, "How they got their powers" or "How they met" is so tiring, overdone and lame. Why couldn't they just have a movie where the relationship is already established without the tiresome backstories?
      Instead of rehashing, "Their origins" they should tell a good organic story without the obligatory 30 minutes of destroying some city.
      A good movie would start out with a good mystery; a well-developed, well-written villain and tell us what is motivating him. Instead of these cardboard cut-out, non-motivated villains. Then have the heroes work together with their unique skills to figure out the who and what.
      I am sure that I am not the only person who would appreciate a movie that is 40% story, 40% developing the villain and 20% CGI instead of 80% CGI, 15% story and 5% character development... nuff said.

    TLDR version: this movie has more plotholes than the Star Wars prequels. If you ignore all the plot holes, BVS is lots of fun. But there are SO MANY. -Luthor knows Bruce Wayne is Batman, yet invites Wayne to a party AND allows him to continue hacking his systems, even after his hench-girl caught Bruce in the act. -Metropolis CBD is 5km from Gotham CBD??? -The World Engine attacked Metropolis... which means Wayne Tower is also in Metropolis, not Gotham. -The Batman vs Superman fight happens a ruined area of Gotham, but it was Metropolis that got wrecked, not Gotham. -Superman kills someone in the first 5 minutes yet threatens Batman for being too violent. -The CIA (not Superman) was tracking Lois at the start... yet somehow he knows where Lois is *and* that she's in trouble. -Lex Luthor's plan to unleash Doomsday, with no way to control him, means his masterplan leads to his own death or imprisonment, no matter what happens. -Batman wants to *lure* Doomsday from an uninhabited island *into Gotham*, even though he spent the first 90 minutes hating Superman for doing the same thing... -The spear was irrelevant; Wonder Woman cut off an arm with her own sword. -Wonder Woman could have wielded the spear while Superman waved his arms and shouted "over here, dumby!" I could go on for hours...

      I can resolve a few of your plot holes, need to see the movie again for the other stuff:
      1. metropolis and Gotham are separated by a 10 mile bay iirc. they are sister cities.
      2. Wayne tower wasn't destroyed it was wayne financial.
      3. Superman bull rushes the soldier but does not kill him. This is confirmed by the narrator after the desert scene. Superman killed no one except for doomsday.
      4. the spear was still needed. did you not see his arm evolve into a but spear? That's the thing about doomsday: every attack was making him stronger.
      5. WW couldn't have thrown the spear as she was keeping doomsday at bay with her lasso. And she was barely able to do that.

      HeatForce I can accept most of that, but the way it was filmed made it look like plot holes. Eg. It's hard to see how Superman didn't kill the guy, especially when he could have just used his laser-eyes on the gun, or caught the bullet, WW could still have used the spear while Superman distracted him from the other side, she could have cut off Doomsday's head without the spear then chopped him into pieces etc.

      then electric dude is doing bad stuff, they take him down.... his part was actualy well done, good character arc, but in the end it doesnt matter for Parker, one less bad guy.... Gwen dies, that was good part but horribly rushed, suddenly another bad guy appear for last 10 minutes just to delete entire love story

    If you change the costumes,the names and WB said this was an original movie (extraman f greyman)then this movie would have probably been seen a "so bad is good" type of movie. But because this is "batman vs superman" people have to pretend like everything wrong with this movie is a secret masterpiece. Not even the hardcore fans seem to enjoy this movie and what i mean by that is that they seem to have a real pasion justifying the probleams of this movie,but are completly oblivious when talking about what they actually like about it,in fact,they usually mention things that where never established in the movie. They use the plot holes of this movie as a way to create their own fan fiction and then they act like the fan fiction is the actual movie,and if you disagree with them then you "didn't get the movie". If you like the movie then that great,but like it for what it is,not for what you like it to be. Because maybe the Martha scene is just the Martha scene.

    There's another thing that bothers me about the dream sequence. The film made it clear that Batman was the one having these dreams. So my question is, when and how did Batman acquire the power of precognition, or become a prophet? Because these dreams are not just dreams according to the script, they're visions of a possible future, and he had no prior knowledge of Darkseid, not even a clue. It's ridiculous.
    If it were up to me, it would have been more plausible if it was Wonder Woman who had these dreams-- her character is more based on magic, and it would give her character something else to do other than... whatever her purpose was in this movie **cough** plot device **cough**

    • @davidmorgan6896
      @davidmorgan6896 8 років тому

      Not precognition, as such, he received a message from the future. How will be revealed in JL; if not then it sucks a bit. BvS is the middle of a trilogy or tetralogy or something, it is acceptable to leave us wondering. There is a bit of a clue, he Flash is part of one of these visions and, if you read the manual, The Flash can time travel. It is a bit obtuse though, fanservice, really, for geeks to masturbate over. It had me wanking like a safari park chimp.

    • @aswaney7449
      @aswaney7449 8 років тому

      David Morgan It would've been acceptable if the message from Flash wasn't a dream, because anyone who knows Flash knows he can time travel. But isn't that bit a dream that contained another dream? It didn't happen while Bruce was awake. That's why I'm cringing because Flash doesn't have the ability to communicate through dreams. If they wanted that, might as well use Dr. Fate or something.
      A bit of mystery via a cryptic message is also acceptable, except they executed it incorrectly by inventing powers certain characters don't have. They're basically pulling a FOX with the X-Men universe. Shameful, really.

    • @davidmorgan6896
      @davidmorgan6896 8 років тому

      +Aes Sedai Absolutely. No doubt, the aim will be to limit The Flash in the JLA film; suborning established canon to the needs of the plot. I guess I am accepting of this sort of thing because it is so common in comics. Comics are riddled with characters possessed of magic powers that make plotting difficult. How do you write coherent stories for characters who can move at infinite speed? You end up creating some ludicrous justification for reducing the hero's powers; every time. Even worse with time travel. I sort of see cludging as a necessary aspect of the games, very few writers are good enough to avoid it entirely. Look at The Authority for a super hero series where cludging, especially moral cludging, is avoided, to an extent. It's pretty different to The Avengers or JLA, with heroes racking up bodies and toppling governments. If you are a fan of super heroes or space opera you have to accept randomly introduced new abilities and equally random restrictions on established powers; it just goes with the territory.

    • @aswaney7449
      @aswaney7449 8 років тому

      David Morgan Actually, being an avid comic book reader since I was a kid, I'm very familiar with how comic book characters behave. Due to issues of continuity, it's important for these characters to be consistent. They can't just randomly manifest powers when it suits them (unless that IS their power a la characters like Darwin in the X-Men). They always have a specific set, and if they do gain a different one, there's always a story arc that explains how and why. Nothing is just introduced without an explanation. Which is why it bothers us a lot when characters like Flash starts showing powers he doesn't have without at least an exposition as to why. I'll use Batman as an example since he's very well-known to the public--it would be like him suddenly gaining the ability to morph into a bat and no reason is given for it. Everyone would go, "wtf? Batman can't do that"
      But I can understand if someone has enough flexibility to accept random changes like that. Because I know for a fact that not everyone is as OCD as me about details lol.

    • @davidmorgan6896
      @davidmorgan6896 8 років тому

      +Aes Sedai Again, I agree. If The Flash develops the ability to project himself into dreams it'll be a plot point in a future film; this is just the hook they'll hang it on. My guess is, a bad thing will happen, but Flash can always go back in time to fix this, so the writers will deny him this, probably through some Nu Gods tech, in the end, there will be some plotline where he figures out how to send his consciousness back to warn Batman.
      I guess they were worse in the 70s, but I've never seen mainstream comics as being overly obsessed with continuity and a pretty solid capacity to suspend disbelief has always been required. I'd love it if every hack comic book writer stayed true to the character bibles, but they won't.

      +Megatron I wish they'd give Bruce Timm and Paul Dini a chance. At the very least, have them come in as consultants. They've pretty much already built a DC universe and it's beloved by fans.

    Spot on review man! Only one thing though, I'll have to respectfully disagree with you on the Wonder Woman part. I thought she's the best character in this whole mess of a movie. Unlike Batman (and Superman and Lex Luthor to an extend), she doesn't have all that backstory crap or anything in the movie and she has her own charms and mystery. The reason she might seem bland is because the movie devotes all its time to all the other nonsense plotlines. In fact, you could say that the only reason Wonder Woman is here is because the studio is desperate to set up for the Justice League (and I agree, that email scene is so cringeworthy...). She's not needed at all in the overall plot of this film, but she could show up as a cameo, in her 'Diana Prince' persona and not in her hero costume.
    The people who are to blame are the writers. They try to cram SO MUCH OF EVERYTHING into one movie it results in the mess that happened. BvS should've been only about Batman vs. Superman. Batman's origins and motivations shouldn't be needed, but since in this universe, he never has his own origin movie before (heck, Superman got his own origin solo movie, so why shouldn't Batman, arguably a hero that's as iconic as Superman, if not even more, have his own movie to establish his own character first?) so they had to find a way to establish Batman's character in the first half of the film while also establish a dozen more plotlines. The same goes to Lex Luthor, who should've appeared in the movie, not as a main villain but as an observer. Let Bat and Sup have their battle on their own, while Lex just observes from the distance while cooking up some evil plan to be put into motion...in the next film. Doomsday should've never happened here.
    Back to Wonder Woman, I like her because she doesn't have all that crap in the movie unlike Batman. She just shows up when needed, however forced it is, and makes every second on the screen count, both in her secret identity persona and her heroine persona. Does that mean she's perfect? No. Her own origin film (as well as Batman solo film) should've come before BvS to establish the characters first. But as that didn't happen, how she acted in BvS is assumed that the viewers don't have to care about her for now. She's just there to look good and set up Justice League and that's it. And Gal Gadot has done a fine job for her part.
    The one thing I really hate in this film is, ironically, another main female lead Lois Lane. She makes that same mistake that made me dislike her character in Man of Steel, in that she seemed to have appeared EVERYWHERE the plot needs her to be. In the words of Jeremy from Cinemasins in his review, she's basically 'a chess piece, being moved around by the screenwriters, breaking all the rules of chess, mind you'. And the plot seems to make her out as all-important. The Flash appearing from the future telling that Lois will be important? WTF does that even mean??? And not to mention that very cringeworthy scene of her dropping the Kryptonite spear into the flooded basement, only to go back to recover it later when she somehow realize it is instrumental in defeating Doomsday, getting herself trapped and made Superman go save her AGAIN!!!. Arggg... I don't hate Amy Adams, but Lois is such an awful character in BvS...
    Anyways, great job on the review! I enjoyed it. ^_^

    Where it fails = nowhere..the movie was fucking amazing and brilliant ...storytelling ,scrip, the flow ..all was on point ...As the two newest (and most controversial) additions to the DCEU, Gal Gadot and Ben Affleck had a lot to prove to 'fans' who doubted they could ever pull off their respective roles. And they did, with precision! They exceeded the expectations and delivered performances that were beyond memorable. They are quintessentially these character from this point forward.
    Gal was simply amazing. She conveyed a Diana Prince that was both mysterious and alluring who had great chemistry and a refined confidence about her. She played the role in a very clever and captivating way and Gal demonstrated that through her range of acting (verbally and non-verbally). Whenever she was on screen, she stole every moment. Gal has re-defined the character of Wonder Woman for a new age of heroes.
    Ben did a fantastic job. He delivered an emotionally scarred Bruce Wayne/Batman. It was complex and multi-layered and you felt his battle with his inner demons. Ben showed us a character forced to face his failures and triumph over them. He channeled a tortured Bruce who was blinded from seeing the truth and a weary Batman to stubborn to listen to reason. Beautifully blending the two together, Ben is Batman!

    This was the first review that was Accurate. Can't say it was 100 percent accurate because like you said, You didn't even scratch the surface. Oh, and lets not forget "grandmas peach tea" where he pees in a cup and blows up capital hill. And for some reason Superman decides to "shut off" his super vision. So he comes in all Superman G'd up with a cape and outfit, but fails to use his supervision in which no one would know whether it was "turned on" or not. This movie is idiotic. I wonder if he smelled grandma's peach tea aka Lex's pee in there.

      +CJ Zanders The chair was deliberately lined with lead, they establish this. Kal couldn't see the device in it. Also, Kal states and regrets that he didn't pick up on the bomb because wasn't looking. He was pre-occupied by his first official statement to humanity, the weight of everything on his shoulders, and the rift that was opening between him and Lois. This film doesn't treat Superman as a caricature of perfection where nothing can one-up him. It challenges him and in doing so it honours his character. It is to be commended for that.

    As much as it hurts, you are 100% correct. Before seeing the film, I heard that it was trash and got very worried. Went to see the film hoping to love the film and kept my expectations very slim and just like you said, the film was a disaster. What's so sad is that all the potential was there, they just didn't know what to do with it. What a waste of a film.

    Great review. I think some of the biggest gripes I had during this, aside from everything you mentioned were;
    When I go into a movie, any movie, let alone this gargantuan BATMAN VERSUS SUPERMAN of a movie, two icons from my childhood sharing a movie together...I expect to FEEL something. I sat there for 2 and half hours and didn't once feel anything. I didn't feel excited about what was happening, I didn't feel pumped up when Bats and Supes finally went at it and I didn't feel sad when Superman died. I mean, they're doing the Justice League movie, so we all fucking know as soon as he died he'll be back anyway. It just failed to evoke any kind of emotion from me.
    My other gripe was, the movie just wasn't fun. I mean, I found Deadpool enjoyably average. It was a solid 6/10 for me, not a bad movie but not as good as the fanfare it was getting. But at least Deadpool was FUN.
    When you have a movie called Batman v Superman and one of the biggest, most complimented aspects of the movie seems to be Wonder Woman, you clearly have a problem. 2 hours of talking for about 10 minutes of Batman and Superman going at it with handbags until a really shitty CG Uruk Hai comes in and fucking ruins the end of the movie. I mean, from the moment Doomsday comes into the fray, which you literally couldn't give a shit about since they've just thrown him in at the end. Take out Doomsday and your superheroes and stick in some robots instead and you've got something straight out of a fucking Transformers movie.
    This movie, a sequel that was just an original story. An original story for Justice League. It was just a 2 hour long fucking trailer for Justice League. Marvel spent 4 years crafting their cinematic universe whereas DC feels like they've done theirs in about 4 minutes. I mean, I get it, I know time isn't something they have, they have to catch up and time isn't something they have but I was just really aware that they were trying to cram so much in and saying LOOK, LOOK HERE, THAT JUSTICE LEAGUE MOVIE! WE'RE DOING THAT!

      +Nana Gyambibi Thank you. I 1000% agree. How...just how did it get past everyone with them saying yeah fans will definitely be satisfied with this. My friends and I discussed this movie a whole lot. How it failed, how it could have been improved with not much work, and how we would have written a Batman v Superman movie. One thing we came up with was this. Multiple end credits scenes. Yes it was a pretty stupid movie, but X-Men Origins Wolverine came up with a pretty cool concept. Depending on what movie theater or what time you saw the movie or something you got a different post credits scene. Our idea was to have different post credit scenes dedicated to just one of the justice league cameos and make them all way way more exciting and detailed. The one concerning Aquaman was going to be him threatening and then destroying a whaling ship during a storm and actually using his powers.

    I can kind of understand what they were attempting with the whole "Martha=friendship" bit. (Emphasis on attempting) They were trying to say that because Bruce couldn't save his own mother, Martha, when both his parents were gunned down, and that Martha was his father's last words, he's taken aback to learn that there is in fact something somewhat similar between Superman and himself. The whole movie took every step to emphasize the stark contrast between the characters of Superman and Batman, and now finally we see common ground for them to build trust of one another with. However, the way the filmmakers handled the whole thing was so shabbily put together that seemed like one of the crew members kid's was being asked about how he wanted Batman and Superman to make up, and he realized that both their mommies were named Martha, Zach Snyder overheard this, shouted, "Sounds perfect! Print that SOB!" and there you have it.
