    Peter, whoever owns this establishment has indeed, a hidden gem of a business. This business has so much potential and room for improvement. If the owner properly renovates most of the outfitting and furniture, this place could potentially be the best stay in Warsaw for that price. I have never, in my life, seen such a bargain. The level of privacy, besides the bathroom situation, is amazing! You have a complete upper floor and room isolated from other guests for the price of 5 euros per person. With that price, you expect: crying babies, guests doing 'gymnastics' rooms beside yours or 'above' and or people running around the halls drunkedly at 3 am in the morning. Instead of all these situations, you just had Vlad snoring beside you. In Australia, of where I'm originally from, they say, "that's a bloody good deal ya got there mate".

    There could be one good reason that the bathroom smells: It hasn't been used in a while. That leads to the siphons drying up and not blocking the smell anymore. • @MegaKubak
      @MegaKubak 4 роки тому +82

      @@TurboImpaler Poland was never a part of soviet union. It was occupied both by third reich and soviet union. During the times of occupation there were actually two governments. One was a legal government in exile, and the second one was a communist one, not recognized by any of the eastern countries. The half of the country youre reffering to, is called Kresy Wschodnie (Eastern Borderlands) and they were annexed by soviet union and they never gave it back, which actually was a great thing for modern day Poland because soviets took basicly fields, trees, and a swamp and gave Poland the highly industralized german land (even before the war, Polish population was a minority on Kresy Wschodnie). Do not think that stalin was a friend of Poland, he simply did it to extend his political influences farther west. Nevertheless it was a great option for Poland. After the war, western europe sold Poland to soviet union, and then the PRL (Polish People's Republic) was recognized by everyone. By this time it was no longer under typical occupation, but it was a puppet state with its own borders and dependant government. So it is false to say that Poland was a part of soviet union, because it simply was a puppet state. Claiming a teritory during war operations, does not count as Poland being the part of soviet union. You wouldnt say that Afghanistan is a part of Usa just because Usa claimed some teritory for their bases there. And just to clarify, im not even close to being a nationalist, i just want you to know something about Polish history that people from other countries are not interested in.

    I've expierienced a similar level of accommodation in Amsterdam but for 50€/night (2 persons): It was at the roof of a garage/workshop? The drain of the kitchen sink was leading the water down to your feet in the shower. All of the stuff washed down in the sink landed beneath your feet, of course. The shower was just like a box inside the kitchen, it looked like a cupboard with a sliding door, which one could not lock. I had to guard nearby the door, looking out for other guests when my girlfriend was showering. The view out of our window was a small dump at top of another roof.
    Anyway we had a friendly receptionist and our room was perfectly clean.
