She’s HILARIOUS, I didn’t expect her to be so friggin comedic, I’m so glad she’s ok
Personally I feel that when you go through so much adversity that gives you the ability to laugh at more stuff because laughing feels better than being sad. *This is my favorite interview of Yeonmi. Don't get me wrong, she's great in other podcasts but it's always so serious & somber. And although I'm not trying to downplay her horrific past, sometimes things can get too dark, and you need to uplift yourself & others. Plus it's make her more human and shows different sides to her - she's not just a victim but someone who's survived and now thriving. This podcast has a good mix of both and also shows she knows how to take a joke*
Didn't many North Korean refugees in South Korea actually called out her story as bullshit, with it having changed multiple times as well, with the first accounts describing her family as pretty well off?
@@shizachan8421here's an idea: actually listen to the podcast.
When she was talking to Jordan Peterson on his podcast about Columbia University was so insightful (it was near the end).
@@brbapappa Does she admit to lying about her past to grift?
@@shizachan8421 she’s unfortunately a tool of the Conservative Party
Her laugh is so silly but so infectious. I just love it 😂
Her laugh is same as mine 😂😂😂😂

I thought the same thing.
Your a racist
I found this video because I love Yeonmi Park’s story. But I really loved how you used humor to facilitate the narrative.
Andrew's ability to make eye contact with her is amazing. I thought he wouldn't be able to do it coming into things.
I feel like we give him too much shit and dont take him serious enough 😂😂😂😂 He is an ADULT and a normal HUMAN, so like he’s definitely gonna have some type of sympathy for her. She deserves it anyways and glad we can make her feel welcomed, don’t wish that North Korean bs on anybody 💯😕
She could literally be in history books describing her story! Change must come! It starts with the people! Have empathy as it change save the world!
I bought her own book and it’s unreal
As she should!!!❤her name should be all over them history books. Jesus Christ this woman is strong❤️
She wrote two amazing books!
She has written "Fiction" and you all bought it it!!
Hahaha she's wealthy off American gullible flavour...you honestly don't smell a rat here????
@@epela6400 Jesus christ your gullible....
These guys are funny but she blows them out of the water with her intelligence and spirit. Inspiration ❤ thank you all.
Absolutely, she's so intelligent and eloquent. I only watched this for her
Yeah her level of intelligence is fascinating especially for someone from NK being smarter than the average westerner… Just watched the Joe Rogan pod with her right after this and they had some really important conversations about what’s going in the west which even people born here cant acknowledge
Yeah she is from north Korea and she knows and understands more about America then an American
She knows comedic timing and perspective like the best of them too. A weekend improv/gricean maxim course and she'd have a killer comedy routine that really teaches people.
Yeonmi is such a beautiful and amazing woman in so many different ways... One of the most awesome and inspirational people I've ever had the opportunity to listen to.
Angel studio's! Sound of freedom! Love from the Netherlands ❤
The way she casually talks about execution and her life being threatened is terrifying. She had faced a completely different reality than most of us. Great interview.
Literally & they’re still living like that smh
More like all of us 😰
This is so amazing and powerful. New world revolution started with this survivor. 💚💚💚 protect your soul. She is the definition of the word. She says true God believers saved her and gave her hope.
She escaped such poverty and hardships then contrast to now she’s more clouted than 99% of us. Crazy how the world works. She deserves it.
Stop complaining! That's giving attention to the bad things, if you want the bad things to disappear talk about what's good instead
Shes a genius grifter
clouted? means "opinionated"?
clouted? wow! english is your language and you chose the word "clouted" wow!
Hey man we don’t like that word “clouted” it makes us uneasy can you go ahead and edit that out please
No better podcast host! Great show!!!
This woman is badass man. To endure everything she has and still be able to make a life and be so down to earth at the same is commendable. To keep it so classy too.. this lady is a gem.
What in God's name are you talking about, my friend? Has this girl anathematized you?
@@jaredlandman1532 oh wow was that the word of the day on your phone app? No. I meant what I said and said what I meant. I’m speaking to the admirable qualities in her story and demeanor. What are You talking about?
@@DrizzySinceTime I am saying that you're delusional yankee.
@@jaredlandman1532 Look everyone, we found the communist sympathizer.
@@jackyou3145 look, so I'd love my daughter to have an OF just as much the next Conservative, but political philosophy is not a dichotomy of communism vs. capitalism. It's a lot more nuanced than that. Further - you're forgiven on account of you (probably) being a high-schooler.
Yeonmi saying this is the first time someone made fun of her in person really exposes whats great about comedy. No matter our background, everybody deserves to be part of jokes. Nobody is above or below them.
Oh yeah try that with N word with blacks and tell them jokes let’s see how it goes .
So true comedy is universal
Flagrants motto was “everybody gets these jokes.”
Glad the boys haven’t changed.
Amen
The alphabet-kids begs to differ. :p
This was better than 90% of movies. I became richer by listening to this. Thank you!
Great guest guys well done gday from Australia
This is the best Yeonmi Park interview I have ever seen. And I have seen a few. She seemed much more relaxed and open. We actually get to see more of her true self. It's a nice treat.
Yeah if you want to hear more look at all the comments/podcasts about her bieng a liar and a fraud (which l believe she is)
It's interesting.
@@Boomer1156I’m don’t think she’s a fraud but I am I interested in this idea. Could you explain some of it to me? I think it’s really interesting
@@tswiftismytharapy have you seen her mother talk about her and her stories?....north korea is a bad country and she knows any story she says people will trust...espically if its GOP types and she gets paid .....
