Bryann Trejo from Kingdom music is AMAZING. I suggest Gods Word OR No Weapon by him. It's on UA-cam. He is spirit filled and you'll see he has a few 45min sermons now too. Hes a preacher but his story is a amazing testimony. its hip hop BUT DEFINITELY NOT THE NEGATIVE STUFF. God Bless you and yours AND please give him a listen, he was the 1st music that is about/for Jesus I found after I received the Holy ghost.
I am convicted! Many years back, I had taken a break from any music outside of Gospel and wow! My discernment grew, fear decreased, I was mentally sharper and more aware of my surroundings.

@@jonathansoko5368 so true! There are many “Christian” artist that spill false testimonies in their music and also collaborate with people who outwardly do ungodly things. The more you spend time in God’s word the easier it is to spot these things and stay informed and rooted in the truth! I don’t listen to many new artist, I was raised by a few generations above me and so most of my worship music is from the 50s, 60s and 70s and I like to listen to hymns sung by choirs too!

AMAZING video! I loved this. The Holy Spirit has talked to me as well and I was reluctant to let go of certain media. Now after being humbled, I just turn stuff off right away lol mid-song, mid-show, I'll just turn away if I feel anything. I slowly started moving towards instrumental and Christian music.
Same here Tiff! It’s crazy! But God is good and merciful. When starting something I shouldn’t be watching or listening something just doesn’t sit right in my spirit. Or perhaps it’s the Holy Spirit convicting me but I’m grateful for that 🤍🙏
Just seen the Astro fest it looked like Hell so sad and music, imagery, very demonic.. it seemed like the enemy was using Travis to put those people in a trance which led to terror, death,and destruction.. there so many other things I saw in the spirit about this festival, these the last days for real this is like the modern day sodom and Gomorrah, it’s time to wake up and seek Christ! great message!

is it not a sin if im not directly listening to it? like when i drive with my brother all the songs he plays have cuss words in it- so if i’m just watching yt and not directly listening to it is that still bad?

Many years ago, a certain British band put out an album I just loved. Almost every song on there was musically brilliant. But I kept getting this persistent sense of spiritual unease listening to them. I knew something was wrong, but it was so hard to stop listening because I couldn't see WHY it was wrong. Then I realized that one of the songs was about ghosts. Literally, the souls of the damned. When I stopped listening, I felt so much more secure, peaceful, and happy. I knew I wasn't living in denial of the Holy Spirit's teaching anymore.
Amen you are so correct if it doesn’t give PRAISE and GLORY to GOD it’s praise something or someone else AVOID!!! Have you ever listened to people and song I love their hearts!!!

pop worship music and if listening to Good like talking about something like there life but no bad words
I’d say pray for discernment but there is Christian Lofi music. I have my playlist linked in the cards of the video. Even though it doesn’t have bad words the artist still might be influenced by something evil so make sure to pray and ask God for discernment. There are so many Christian artists that have a similar sound now to most artists I would just look for a Christian alternative.
I don't think there's anything wrong with listening to Ella Fitzgerald and music like that, but be careful of the words in the song and make sure that the word of God is dominating the way you think and not the thoughts and opinions of people who aren't born again and don't have convictions based on the word of God ❤
I also think you should pray for God to lead you to christian music in that genre that you like. I diligently searched fir Christian vaporwave music and was pleasant surprised at the great selection of artists in this genre.
Either way, as it was mentioned in the video, spiritual discernment by the Holy Spirit is the best thing. Then you'll never be lead astray ❤

i used to listen to secular music, but one day i was listening to it in the car and i just got this really bad feeling about it, like it was wrong, i think the Holy Spirit convicted me. so then i prayed to God, i asked Him to tell me with a sign, because i had like 3 Christian songs in my playlist and wayyyy more secular songs, i asked Him that if what i was listening to was bad and He wanted me to stop listening to non-Christian songs, then the next song will be a Christian song (i was listening on spotify) and if He was okay with it, then a secular song would come up.
and guess what
the next song was a Christian song
ngl i was very dissapointed, because i didnt really like that many Christian songs and i really liked the songs i was listening to at the time.
so i actually completely stopped listening to music.
but not that long ago, because of your video that suggests Christian music, i made my own playlist and ive started to listen to music again :D Christian music so yeah thats my story
but i sometimes feel like that i shouldnt listen to music at all and just focus on God.

I went through a big transformation and transition I dont listen to anything but Christian and nature sounds. I repented and I've just kept moving forward. I was healed of so much and music was a big part and it's still a big part I just worship and praise our Father,Jesus. And Holy Spirit. Thanks for sharing sister blessings 🙌 🙏 ❤️
Just wanted to say that I am glad you are preaching about good fruit. I saw some of your videos a few years ago after confessing Christ; and it seemed there was a lot of worldliness that the Lord had to sort out in your life so I gave it some time. Just wanted to encourage you in that discernment is probably the rarest gift that Christians show evidence of; I have only personally met a few in my 40 years of faith.
There is a spirit behind many songs; and as you say some in the occult promote things themselves; others have worked with others in the industry that "decieve and are being decieved". The style of music; in regard to harmonies in particular is often overlooked; I had seen many years back the secular humanistic spirit behind certain folk music that in one instance I had to ask the Lord to deliver me from a spiritual attack. Rhythms can also occur; clearly heavy metal style is bad as it mimics certain occult practices and rites. But the music that drives people to suicide and depression also can come from things that mesmerize. You can see and recognize the outside spiritual influences in music that mimic human feelings I would guess. Having Christ in you makes you recognize that only our own sinful tendencies give us a gateway to the enemy; and things start with our thoughts in that regard. The thoughts that come into our mind when walking in the Spirit that seem like our own in regard to all sorts of evil are FOREIGN ones the enemy plants into our minds that seem like ours but we recognize are not if we know that we have DIED in Christ on the cross with Him. Yes; we all have sin capability within us (1 John); but theoretically if we were to continue walking in the Spirit we will not sin. The last thing which I had to remove and perhaps you can relate is the thoughts of natural affections and emotions of love which apart from Christ are only selfishness. Music that idolizes relationships; the beauty of nature or anything else that we can only embrace through the five natural senses; or our old soulish nature is NOT going to be edifying. That of course is the cause of many marriages being broken up; and bad choices of the unmarried believers; when spiritual seduction causes us to be enticed away from Christ to find some sort of Eden that was lost (I like the song "leaving Eden" although it is very depressing.
I'm glad to see your walk maturing; and that you are listening to His voice. The greatest battles today are from within; the church is to be judged first. People either want to dismiss the gifts of the Spirit outright; or they are more interested in some gifts and manifestations rather than Christ HImself; the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews).
It is rare; to see believers sold out completely these days; it is not a one size fits all; as many are going to make it into heaven as through the fire (Corinthians; Jude); and many others who decieve themselves and aren't bearing fruit worthy of repentance (Ephesians) will come up short on Judgment Day. There is truly a "hunger and thirst today; as scripture says not for food and drink but for the Word of God." (Not to say hunger isn't real). The whole consumption idea or the alternative "garbage in; garbage out" as Petra used to put in their lyrics seems to be a foreign concept to most "Christian" music today. It really in the end isn't worth listening to artists who sing or say things about the Lord but their lives betray the fact that love of money or popularity is more important than salt and light.
Sorry if this rant is too long. Keep up being "salt and light" and I am hoping your husband comes to the faith sooner rather than later. He's got to see something's up in your life anyway.

I heard a testimony in a video where an ex gang member said that when they got a big shipment of drugs to distribute, they prayed over the drugs, invoking the Angel of Death. They also invoked the Angel of Death over businesses that they used the drug profits to start such as clubs and bars. Fortunately, I’m 61 and didn’t grow up in the hip hop era. I do keep up with all the latest trends, so I know what is in that music. Cussing, N-word, sex, etc. I prefer a lot of oldies and Christian music and classical music. But even in some of the older secular songs, if I hear lyrics about someone cheating on someone or songs that encourage sex outside of marriage , I stop listening. Those kinds of songs vex one’s spirit. They seem tame by todays standards, and when I was younger, I didn’t really listen so closely to the words like I do now. Most people can probably find some type of instrumental music in the jazz or classical genres that they can listen to in addition to Christian music. Most artists from the heyday of jazz or the classical era did not have some demonic agenda to spread. They were more interested in just creating beauty with their music.
Thanks for your thoughts sister. I’m not sure exactly how much to blame Travis Scott was personally for everything that happen. Like it’s hard to believe he knew people were dying while he was performing. But I agree with what you were saying near the end. That you need to be careful with what your playing with. One other verse that relates to that reality is this.

I have a question though and I am gonna open myself up and be vulnerable here. But I really want your opinion. I am in a Christian Domestic Discipline relationship with my husband. I feel like this relationship style is the best thing to ever happen to me. But some of the other girls in my home group are against my relationship but most are supportive. So I am wondering what your opinion of CDD relationships are. Do you support them or are you against them? Or are you just like indifferent? For us, its helped us to have a lot fewer arguments and have more peace and harmony
I stopped listening to rap I had a spiritual upbringing as of now I mainly listen to classical and r&b.
something that I did: I just got rid of my music app (when I was reborn in Christ) because I didnt know wich of that music was pure evil or wich one was just secular. If you dont know what music you could listen to, just get rid of all of it and start to worship God with music from church that you know that is good

I have to disagree with you about dark lyricism and certain genres of music being satanic. It's not satanic it's subjective. It all depends on what the artists true intentions are behind the song. Just Like with the EDM album with satanic symbolism you said about, you knew what the artists true intentions were. But that doesn't mean that all people who make EDM music worship the devil. I'm sure that there's a few EDM artists out there that have positive intentions, especially the lesser known artists who haven't been corrupted by fame and fortune.
