  • Join me for a look at not only my favorite way to work a chainless treble crochet, but also how it compares to the traditional turning chain of four PLUS one other alternative that uses single crochet stitches stacked on top of one another.
Whether you choose the chainless treble, stacked single crochets, or the traditional turning chain depends entirely on your preferences and the pattern in which you'll be using it. For example, if you're working an edging all the way around your project, you might find that there is no difference at all (or very little) in the finished look, in which case you would definitely want to choose whichever method you find the easiest!
Personally, I rather detest trying to crochet into chain stitches, so I'll usually avoid it if at all possible! Which is why I've been embracing turning chain alternatives for many years now.
Choose what works best for YOU, though. And don't be afraid to try out different options in the next pattern you work on or even in a few years! Sometimes our preferences change over time. Keep it fun, y'all!
