Thanks for the demo. I think what this (and all!) demos need is a dB meter. It's all well and good if the amp has great tone at 115 dB, but that's not useful to most of us. The post production blurs a lot of issues.
You got a decent recording out of an E609 and the amp sounds good...I had an E609 and In could never dial it in without it sounding wooly and odd.I much prefer a condenser set back a foot or two off-angle,sounds natural,no proximity effect either.Pushing that amp through a Blue doesn't hurt either 😀
I never ever use a e609... I think that mic is no good for my uses. I only use the higher end model the e906. There is a big difference between the two mics.
I like that you didn't just jump from your clean tone to crunchy "dad rock" tone and the end the video. I think more amp overviews need to focus on the amp with pedal sounds and cleaner tones! Loved this man, been wanting to pickup and Otis for a couple years but there aren't many good overviews online! Thanks for making this!
