This feels like something straight out of the main series, and in my heart I’m going to treat this as part of the official soundtrack. It’s incredible to see how fans produce such quality work for something they’re truly passionate about.
Okay okay hear me out- "Mirror mirror woe is me Cried the lonliest for all to see" At first I thought she was mocking Weiss but now I wonder if she actually understood her. Like, what if Illia snuck into one of Weiss's performances where she sings 'Mirror Mirror' and was the only one in the crowd who genuinely listened to the lyrics. That would mean that out of everyone in the crowd, the Faunus girl hiding in the back, who would have never been let in unless she was rich and human, was the only one who ever cared to listen. And that Weiss was cruel to the one person who understood her, just because she was a Faunus. At least, that's what I interpreted, it could be she was mocking her and I dove too deep but I'm still excited to see where their relationship goes along with the series in general!
No no, you can cook. I don't think anyone else has even noticed that detail. For me, I was more focused on the "Your ignorance is the camouflage I'll wear" which is both a nod to the fact she's a Chameleon Faunus, but also to Weiss' ignorance of Faunus suffering.
This has so many good lyrics We have a cool callback to one of Weiss most iconic line with "Guess you're nothing more than a name" "Just 'cause you don't see me. Doesn't mean I'm not there. Your ignorance is the camouflage I wear." God this is so powerful, this verse alone tells so much about Ilia's character. And then the whole bit where she mocks the Mirror Mirror song In some ways it's basically an anti Mirror Mirror song, it tooks all the representation of Weiss struggles and say "Oh, the little heiress is sad ? Well guess what, my life is a living hell and I'm about to turn yours into one." This is such a good character song and I really hope we'll get more banger in the future.
Awesome job! I liked the "Mirror mirror, woe is me" part. It's like Ilia's saying to Weiss "you think you have problems, princess? Try walking in my shoes!"
Ok this is actually something that gives off volume 9 music vibes. I think the only thing needed to really sell it is one longer riff only section with no lyrics. This is actually insanely good keep it up.
@@christinealcock2841 While the vocals for the specific song are electronically generated, they're taken from the voice banks of a specific branded character (in this case, Solaria), said voicebanks are provided in real life by singers recording with their full consent (in this case, Emma Rowley), and Hannah had to engineer the vocals in the synthesizer to be sung exactly as needed with her own instrumentation. So no, it's not what one would consider AI. No voices were taken without consent, no artificial intelligence program made the song from scratch or reference, no machine learning was involved, etc. The voices came from a voicebank synthesizer and Hannah worked on it personally for weeks to be what it is in the final release. Think it of it like a piano synthesizer program. It's an electronic instrument program, just with voices from consenting peoples.

I'm glad people can now hear this absolute banger, it's so awesome!
Thank you so much for making this! 💜
And the art?! THE ART IS SO COOL!
I love how practically every lyric has meaning. This is GOOD.
THIS IS PERFECTION! Oh my God this is the Ilia vs Weiss song we need but don't deserve! Easily one of the best RWBY songs I've ever heard!
OMG this literally feels like a RWBY song, great job!
if only they put this in the show
Wow this is really amazing feels like it from the main series amazing work i love the vocals and the lyrics
This song is a banger! I especially love the line “Mirror Mirror, woe is me”. It’s a nice taunt to Weiss

@DespianGrimmPaldea I can't blame you, that was an amazing and fire sentence
To me, this is officially a part of the RWBY Soundtracks!

Excuse me?! Where have you guys been all my life!

If the lyrics are foreshadowing what I think this is implying for the future, I am honestly scared for Weiss.
Absolutely amazing!! You really captured the emotions of the scene and the characters!!!
Absolutely amazing 🤩 great job
This loops pretty well. Guess I know what I'm playing for the next 24 hours straight.
Heard this last night and I haven’t stopped replaying!!! 🫶🤩
😢 so beautiful and inspiring
I suddenly just got sent back to 2013 for a moment
I'm about to break the shit out of the replay button 😲

I was not ready for this at all lol. Godlike.
This and episode 8 was FIRE 🔥 🔥🔥
Yooooooo, I love this
Who is the singer?
Hannah Gable... I think.
@@robertaslanian2564 You be right.
An English vocaloid program called Solaria, very similar to the more widely known Hatsune Miku.
Is that AI?
