Alcaraz, Ruud and Tsitsipas for me. Rune, Zverev, Rublev and FAA joint second. Sinner and Thiem next and Meddy bringing up the rear. Sorry Meddy, still love you.
so awesome to see! i really like the alcaraz and the tsitsipas forehands. definitely some of the better fhs on tour, you can just tell from looking at their form how solid they are. also something about rune's technique is pretty nice too. on the other hand, medvedev's forehand is weirdddd i dont like it
Alcaraz- power Medvedev- WTA like Ruud- ++topspin Rublev- jerky Tsitsipas- fluid Sinner- moves like a cheetah Rune- stiff take back Grunts from player against Ruud- annoying
Dominic thiems forehand is so good it is not as beautiful as his backhand but statiticl his forehand won more point. It is a highly underestimated forehand
That’s felt coming off of the tennis ball. If the balls are new enough and you hit a topspin forehand hard enough you can see it for yourself. Sharp edged polyester string can enhance the effect too.
Not sure about classic eastern, these guys are definitely eastern, Tsitipas and Medvedev. Tsitipas similar to Feds fh grip while Med probably close to classic eastern
Alcaraz’s technique just slightly superior to most of the other guys. Elbow far away from the body and arm extended way out in front at contact point. This geometry precludes a square racket face making contact at the center of the ball. Just like Federer, his point of contact is on the outside half of the ball. Interesting that nobody really talks about this.
Yeas good observation. What I like about his forehand is that he is conscious of making a few small shuffle steps to move his body out of the way quickly so he is not cramming which enables the space for his arm and elbow to go through. You can also see why Medvedev is more of a defensive player because his take back (in my opinion) is too slow which makes him have to rush through that process, cramming his shot and not being able to extent his arm straight, it also creates a bit of a backwards momentum which would take power out of his shot. I think he needs to work on that to set up earlier to start his swing so that he can straighten his arm more and have more forward momentum. With his height, he should be getting more easy power in his forehands.
I think zverev gives him a run for his money in terms of extension at contact, but overall I'd agree with you. I still think Thiem looks the nicest though
@@kevinkim0817 i’m going to watch a couple days of the U.S. Open at the end of August. While I love all these UA-cam videos regarding Tennis, until you see these guys live, see how fast they are and hear just how hard they’re hitting, you don’t really know what’s going on. It’s like they’re from another planet.
@@dcweber1you have to watch them from close by. Don’t buy shitty tickets to Alcaraz if you are so far up. It won’t nearly be as impressive as a 1st round 5 meters up
Which is your favourite FH?
⬇️⬇️⬇️
Mine
medvedev😂
Roger Federer 's one
Carlos Alcaraz 's FH !!!
Of these I would actually pick FAA even though he got the least time on here.
What a pleasure to watch these forehand in this camera angle. Thanks a lot for your work. It's just incredible ;)
tsitsipas forehand is beautiful.
It’s probably the worst one lol
@@jianhuiwu897 what a dumb comment lol, it legit is or atleast was a top 2 forehand the past like 5 years
@@jianhuiwu897 it's less forgiving that's for sure.
감사합니다.
정말 감사합니다!
Rublev and Tsitsipas's forehand are pleasing to watch
Daniil looks like an alien among the others, but I love it🤣
I love Rublevs forehand. It´s so explosive
THIS video is amazing. More pls!
Excellent travail ! Congratulations
Шикарная подборка! Спасибо!
Helped me a lot with my forehand 😅been having a lot of issues with it 😢this helped like A LOT
Thiem's forehand is great.👍
Yup
Amazing angle on this video!!! Spacing is so much easier to see. Thank you for the video‼️
Can you please make a video like this for ONE handed backhand? Thanks a lot for the great video ;)
5:10 don’t know if anyone else noticed this or not, but Massu here looks a lot like Fernando Alonso
lol 100% Alonso
Hamilton else on the raight😂😂😂😂
Lovely video but makes me want to look for Federer forehand slow motion videos 😍
When Rublev hits you can see the fuzz escaping from the ball.
yea he is hitting the shit out of it
Holy cow Rublev's forehand is literally smoking, every time he hits that forehand the ball is disintegrating.
lol its an awful forehand
i don't like that hitting sound off racket

He’s become self-conscious of it because everyone imitates him by grunting “Bweh!”
Sinner has the most difficult to replicate forehand.
For some reason I find it the easiest. Wierd
Alcaraz’s forehand looks INCREDIBLE
Nole je Kralj ❤🇷🇸
Erm
Alcaraz, Ruud and Tsitsipas for me. Rune, Zverev, Rublev and FAA joint second. Sinner and Thiem next and Meddy bringing up the rear. Sorry Meddy, still love you.
The sound that Rublevs forehand makes
The one with the biggest amount of dust leaving the ball on contact.
FAA probably has the most aesthetically pleasing motion out of everybody here.
most modern, mechanically and technically, also it seems like he is always so grounded and low, which is very aesthetic
Rune best
Man i wish i had Medvedev technique, look so hard to predict the direction of that ball
Ugliest technique imho
Zverev's wrist prep is so peculiar it makes Gasquet and Monfils look normal.
1:55 Zverev: ' Houwhaeuuung..'
Good video !! What device you are using by the way ?
Thiem's forehand❤
Alcaraz and Tsitsipas because they look more relaxed…
Lol ruud is hitting with theim
I wish there are Federer's fore&backhand
Tsitipas is a poor man version of Federers forehand and backhand

Which grip does alcaraz use?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Carlos hits a straight arm forehand like Federer. Rune also hits a straight arm forehand. Carlos hits with more power though.
Alcaraz- power
Medvedev- WTA like
Ruud- ++topspin
Rublev- jerky
Tsitsipas- fluid
Sinner- moves like a cheetah
Rune- stiff take back
Grunts from player against Ruud- annoying
Alcaraz and Rublev have the quickest arms, Carlos looks to have a more solid base though.
Felix Auger-Aliassime !!!
Every beginner have Medvedevs technic😅
Dominic thiems forehand is so good it is not as beautiful as his backhand but statiticl his forehand won more point. It is a highly underestimated forehand
Es asombroso ver lo lejos que ha llegado Medvedev con esa derecha jajajajaj
3:18 Why does smoke come out of his racket when he hits the ball?

anggasss
And Federer one?
medvedev forehand is ugly but effective
EXACTLY
I think so..
so true
Yes 💯
Does anyone hit a classic eastern forehand anymore? All these guys hit a western forehand with the flying elbows and open stance.
Not sure about classic eastern, these guys are definitely eastern, Tsitipas and Medvedev. Tsitipas similar to Feds fh grip while Med probably close to classic eastern
Zverev looks closest from this video. At least with the grip setup
Tsitsipas nice forehand, like Tenis coach
メベドで強く見えないのにめちゃめちゃ勝つ選手

Still Federer forhend number one :)
take away is no matter the backswing the stroke is the same in the end…
Roger is probably the best FH. Not shown here though, as well as Djokovic and Nadal, that is very unorthodox
Where's the goat?
Zverev Stefanos open stance. Ruud semi, Carlos close stance, Rublev dont move the body when he punch.
Omg Medvedev technique is so gross. Effective but really ugly
Ruud forehand not powerful enough to beat guys like Novak 😢
Casper has a big forehand
