Perfect selection. I carry an Alox Minichamp in my pocket every day. Have for years and it’s amazing how much it can do if you get innovative about using all the tools. No matter what else I carry I always have one on me.
Good choice upgrading to the 110 Pro VS the basic 110. The S30V will hold up much better. I have owned, or still do own, most of those, and I really do like the 110 Pro and the Mora Garberg, but in my pack I'd replace the Garberg with my Benchmade Leuku or Becker BK2 or BK7. I'd choose my Leatherman over the Victorinox, just for the tools, and my Fallkniven A1 over my Buck 124. The handle on the 124 is too blocky imo, and starts to hurt after awhile. As for the folder, I'd have one of my EDC knives on me, which rotates, but usually consists of a Benchmade Griptillian, Osborne, or Bugout with titanium scales. Lastly, I'd have a big knife like the Becker BK9 or Cold Steel Trail Master (Carbon V). Thanks for sharing.
Enjoy your video. You nailed it there’s no one knife that does it all. This Swiss Army knife or Leatherman is a good companion to a good fixed blade knife a good survival knife needs to be full tank fix blade at least six inches and no more than 7 1/2 or 8 inches. Unless you’re in a jungle and machete is good. I’ve owned a Randall made Orlando Florida. Number 14. Stainless steel with a 7 1/2 inch blade with a saw tooth back. It never let me down in the army or out of the army. But I always carried a Leatherman with me also. And I like to Swiss army knife that have a locking main blade with a saw. I have strapped to my sheath. A good case 4 inch lock blade knife is also good to carry with it. You got best of both world a small knife. And a large fixed blade knife. Remember every day above ground is a good day.
My 5 blades would be : Condor - Village Parang , Pathfinder - Kephart XL , LT Wright - GNS , LT Wright - Great Plainsman & Leatherman - Surge of which I always carry in the one pack anyway to grab at a moment's notice without having to waste time searching for them individually .
Well I've been a SAK-aholic for quite awhile, but I do like others too I don't discriminate, can't all knives just git along brother, I personally have an extremely large collection of Sak's, traditional slips, pretty much as same as you I wear a 110 daily won't leave home without it, I'm 64 and have a heavy addiction to blades brother, but the first step is admitting I have a problem, not really I'll never stop buying knives just kidding great vid brother glad I found ya just subbed take care my bladed buddy 😎🇺🇸
I've been a SAK-aholic since 1978 but, have had a Buck 110 since 1973. I think I have about 200 + SAKs and about that 300 of other brands. I'm 71 and don't plan on slowing down anytime soon.
@thesakguy3852 yup it's not easy to say no to the calling of the knives, just when I think I should slow it down a bit a new knife manages to follow me home, and to think it all started with a Buck 110, thanks Buck for making my wife think I'm knife crazy 🤣 you have me beat but not buy much brother, I'm 64 so 50 years of knives they can tend to add up forsure, it nice to correspond with one who understands me, I'll be watchin brother stay safe, just say no to more knives, just kidding I'm funning with you brother 🇺🇲😎🤣
This does not address whether these knives can be replaced by duplicates as they wear out or break. This would certainly change my choices as some knives are undeniably longer lasting than others while other like kraton handles are more comfortable to hold in cold weather and while batoning. I wish this would be addressed by those posting vids.
When I saw the original video with DBK I took it that you would not be able to replace a knife once it broke or wore out. These were the only ones you could ever have.
@marktalley9251 I think their made in USA Bucks are good. But in recent years they have shot up in price for no apparent reason. I was only picking out of my collection if I could only choose 5 of them. I would even choose the Jaakaripuuko for survival but thought hey let's pick a different one so I've got 5 not 4 lol
Yeah, learn cans and cannots of each. Bugout due to large twister? ;except from south I wouldn’t know, except send the ol’ lady out with her nail file. Hunker in safer place, an at least 2 ton bottle jack should be kept there. Nobody knows what a collapse will bring…300 foot of cheap 5/8 rope may even keep from shrugging shoulders.
Okay, I'm going have to go with Six. Because in my EDC bag, that goes with me every where, are three knives. Swiss Army Deluxe Tinker, Old School Gerber Multi Tool, with full sized jaws, and the Cold Steel Voyager Drop point with 4 inch blade. Easy to open with one hand. Next, Mora Heavy Duty Companion, High carbon steel. Buck 117 Brahma, its a sheath knife with a medium sized blade. Lastly, Cold Steel Magnum Tanto XL, with 12 inch blade. That covers all the bases.
You don’t need the big one. Mora 511s for a fraction of the price can do anything you need. Lightweight and cheap, but good. Carrying a small folding hand saw to saw trees for shelter is way better than the big paperweight. If you don’t know how to fight with a knife youre more likely to hurt yourself. And if the other person has a gun …. Just my two cents.
I do know how to knife fight but, do not want to get that close to people. My knife is last ditch and I would have a firearm with me. Just don't like to talk about them on YT.

Great minds think a like 🤔. Some folks think the 58 MM knives can not do much but, the MiminChamp is just so handy.
All bases covered methinks. Your pocket folder will do most everything you need to do. The big Buck is an impressive beast
I hope so and yes it is a beast.
Just discovered this channel. Cool video
Thanks
Those five could handle just about anything life throws at you👍The Garberg is on my list of knives to buy this year. Cheers, buddy!
The Garberg is one of the best knives from Mora (IMO).
I think you've made excellent choices, I cannot fault any one of them. Brilliant to have a large and a small fixed blade.
Having a small and large knife is the best of both worlds.
There is no A in Victorinox.
I am pronouncing it the way they the CEO of Victorinox is pronouncing it.
Appears to be a good all-
around choice!!!
Thanks!
New sub! Good video!
Thank you!
I have the Buck 124, and its way to handle heavy to chop with. You want something blade heavy to chop with. But it is a great knife.
Good selecction , great "team" for rest of live.
Yes, indeed it is.

Victoria Knox must be Amanda Knox’s sister.

I agree about the size of the fix blade and also it being full tang. The multi-tool is user choice just as long as it is of good quality.

I wish I could afford a buck 124
1. TOPS wild pig hunter
2. BUCK 124
3. Leatherman 300
4. CASE large trapper
5. BUCK 110
Buck 119, Scrade UH Stockman and a Leatherman for me.

Survival - Buck 124 frontiersman
Bushcraft - Jaakaripuuko 140
Edc - Buck 110
Beater - Opinel No.8 stainless
Multitool - Leathermen Wave+
All of those would be good to go also.
I would not pick a buck knife on any one of mine! There a good door weight!!! Junk

@ I was doing the same, only going with what is in my collection.
Yeah, learn cans and cannots of each.
Bugout due to large twister?

Any firearms?
I do not like talking about my guns on you tube but, Yes there would be Firearms to go with this group.
Who's the other you tuber who picked 5 fix blades. ...im a fix blade typ..i got pocket knives
The only two that come to mind is "Gideonstactical and DBK (Dutch brothers Knives)" Hope this help.

All good choices. I've not gotten a magnum tanto XL, 12 inches is more like a short sword but sounds like a fun knife.
I stopped deer hunting so most of my fixed blades I gave to my nephew.
I would suggest a filet knife for fish
I'm sure he appreciates them!
The one filet knife I have is with my fishing gear and as they say out of sight out of mind. Don't go fish as much as I like.😒

You made poor choices, 5 picks not good,
You stick with your picks and will stick with mine.
schrade 125ot
Have not seen one of those in a while but, it would be a good choice too.
