I'm 35 years old and 110 is my everyday carry. It's built well number 1. And it has that look that you are not a criminal. You are just a guy carrying a knife as a tool. It's very low-key.
I have one that was passed on to me from my Dad which he purchased back in 1965. It is nearly 60 years old and he took good care of it. No rust and as sharp as a razor. I take it with me on all of my hiking, backpacking, and fishing trips. It is still in the original leather sheath (which is worn but functional). It is a beautiful knife. I keep it sharp and shined up. I use Flitz to polish it up shiny and provide a layer of corrosion protection. Thanks for sharing. Sub’d 🙏
I bought both the 110 Hunter and 112 Ranger this month, new. I read the warranty information card that mentioned the lifetime warranty and the spa care. These are great knives, made with mastery. I enjoyed hearing your experience, liked and subscribed to your channel
I’ve got an older one in a new sheath that will be headed to the spa soon. Appreciate your review of the service you received. Great American made knives.
robinhoff ; Like everyone else here, I love my Buck 110. This is my second one, the first one was given to me by one of my brother in laws for Christmas back in 1973. Sorry to say but it was taken during a home invasion. My first came with a leather holster. The replacement 110 I bought around 2015 came with a nylon holster. I know a lady who retired from Buck Knives up in Post Falls Idaho. When I lived there I bought a small Buck pocket knife and it was made in China. When I questioned the store clerk, he said all the Buck knives were made there now. What a big disappointment. I almost didn't buy it but, I felt naked without a knife in my pocket. I hope that sales clerk was wrong.
So many people at my school had those but not me. I found a nice flip blade knife someone forgot out at one of our haunts & had that for years but always wanted the 110. Found a snakeskin holster i think, made for it amongst my dads thing so i finally bought a vintage 110!
Thanks for the view and comment. My EDC changes per situation. But most of the time I carry a Buck 110 automatic it’s a little heavy but easy one handed deployment and a tank.
I bought one new in 1969 with the sheath and the blade still has the factory edge. Never even used it. Only the brass is tarnished. Wonder how I can buff that out.
* Show the date stamp on the blade, especially the old one! It has the squared off edges, so it is old. That date symbol tells a lot; the year it was made & the metal of the blade. That old Buck could have the super hard 440c blade.
Ronsonol lighter fluid gets the green tarnish off with no problems also can use it to remove glue from blades if you cut alot of boxes -the stuff is like magic
i still have my last three 110s all needing new blades. cant bear to throw them away. they last about three years if you use them every day. something about that soft steel, you just get used to it. the standard american pocket knife.
You can send them in to Buck and they will clean sharpen repair. If it’s non warranty Related I think they charge you. You pay shipping to them and $6.50 per knife. It’s on their website under warranty I think. Thanks for the comment
Looks like Buck did a good job for you , had always heard they do . I need to send in a 112 that was given to me by a friend who found it in a rent house . Had seen pretty hard use and the blade very worn but still a strong knife . Does that $6.95 include a new blade or is that extra ? I have a 110 on my belt as we speak and has been there EDC for many years . Not a better quality knife to be found IMO . The weight has never bothered me , just lets me know there is a lot of knife there and I like that . Thanks for a good review , I subbed your channel . Best regards .
They did do a great job. The way I understand it they clean polish and repair or replace any thing that is not abuse. If more is needed I believe they contact you and give you a price. They maybe might swap it out. It’s on their website at the bottom
Well invested 6,95!
Enjoy your knife!
When i saw the thumbnail i thought you were Hickok45😂
Same. It's why I clicked 😅. I'm obviously not a very thorough reader.
My 112 is on the way back to me from the new blade and spa treatment. I am 71 and am excited as a kid. Thank you Buck!
I’m right there with you I hope they take care of your 112 like they did me. Thanks for the comment

I still rock a 3 dot 1980-81 110 in a leather friction sheath. I like the thicker, heavier, squared off bolsters and 440C steel.
They do have a solid feel

May have to send mine in.
It's only 33 years old. :)
They really do a good job. Thanks for the view and the comment
Member watching my grandpa using this knife for years till he passed. I got my self one cuz he had one just heavy for now days still a great knife
They are heavy for today standards, thanks for watching and the comment
love the 110, had one in my tackle box and or vest for decades, where is it today? hmm, might have to go with an ebony gripped for a replacement?
If you look at the blade there's a date code symbol that you can cross reference with Buck's date code sheet to get the year of MFR.
@@kevinpeck8485 thanks , mine has Buck 110 USA so 1972-1986

Thanks for the view and comment. You can use Case polish or Flitz polish some people use Brasso polish and a soft cloth

Just says BUCK 110 USA
@@redauwg911 that sounds about the right time period
If there are NO dots next to the 110 stamp it is pre-1974
So no dots just BUCK 110 U.S.A. Thanks for the info it was my brother’s and a EDC for many years as a fire fighter and EMT.
I've got 2 of them, one with the squarish end and one with a curved end.
Ronsonol lighter fluid gets the green tarnish off with no problems also can use it to remove glue from blades if you cut alot of boxes -the stuff is like magic
@@blueswan2175 I didn’t know that. Thanks for the info and and for watching
Carb cleaner works also
If you use the belt sheath they seem to attract moisture and tarnish the brass. It might be because of the humidity here
Good 👍
Thanks

I’m looking to get a 110, I’m wondering if I get it custom if they would put the nail groove on the right side of the blade…
That would be a Buck question but I do know that they have custom build your own. I have never ordered a custom one .
Great job cutting the paper. Seems like you need some practice.
I like the style but the are really HEAVY 😒😒
They are heavy. They make a more modern style with less weight. Thanks for the view and comment
It is very good knife. Is not practical for EDC. My EDC knife is linear lock and tip down pocket clip.
