I live a half mile from Guns & Gold, Dave and his sister run a good shop. Sometimes Dave will write the price on a paper, and ask you your price. High or low what’s on the paper is his price even if you bid higher. They’ve been there for decades. Glad you came to our little town.
Awesomeness sir!! He was very nice! He sure surprised me at the end. That has never happened to me before! Thanks for sharing this! God Bless you sir and Guns & Gold!
If you don’t go fishin- you don’t catch any. Thanks for taking us along for the ride Kevin. I was very fortunate to have a job that I traveled ( and was able to stop on lunch n breaks ( packed lunch n ate while driving )( I am more aware now about distracted driving)) . The adrenaline rush when finding a good deal- not enough time here to share … but it did make the traveling less boring. Also I did some trading with store owners I got to know. Love to trade !
I’ve been collecting USA knives since the 70’s and you hit the jackpot on that stop. Wow, awesome deal and keep up the good work👍. Love that ole school dirty gold.
The pawn shop was a goldmine for your knives, and the owner was such a nice gentleman and I’m glad you could find nice treasures in that pawnshop. Thanks Kevin for another great video.
Man that alaska skinner set u found has stuck in my mind, dern that was a wicked find. U have motivated me to do a tour around my area in Southern ontario and check the pawn and antique stores. Thank u sir.
Thank you. It looked like a blade was messed up. Plus I already had a big pile and only had so much cash. I have lots of wingers and Victorinoxs. Thanks for watching!
Hello Kevin, the pointed blade is for pushing the pins out to clean the triger housing on a remington shotgun. You left a German straight knife and office knives are collectable but you did good again 👍. 👏 👍 be safe and GOD BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇸 🙏
Hello Sir!! The office knife had a broken blade. Plus it wasn’t marked. I know it was a USA but I only had so much cash. The Fixed Blade just didn’t suit my fancy and again…I only had so much cash. I got out what I wanted. Thanks Howard.
The pin blade in the Remington r2 is for popping the two pin out of the Remington shotgun trigger assembly. Just push two pins out it will pop right out. I shoot a rem 11-87 shotgun and use that knife. I have r1-r11 now. Just looking for display. Once I saw your I knew I had to have one.
That's my favorite pawn shop. I've been going there for a decade. Its a family run business. Dave, Luke, and Kathryn (I think). Ill have to tell them I saw their store featured on Knife Doctor.
Kevin you cleaned house at the pawn. You did that restore on that OldHickory filet the other day and I was gonna comment Schrade made a couple of sizes I always wanted ans a teenager and dang if you didn’t get them both at once. Nice haul!!
I could not tell if you purchased the fishing knife with the built in hook sharpener? but I graciously know your buddy 2nd hand George would love that knife? You really need to have a meal with him, and your knife sharing buddies at a restaurant!!!
Yes sir…but he lives in Minnesota and the fish knife is definitely a keeper for the Museum. I would love to have a meal with George. He’s an amazing dude.
Great pawn shop finds, WOW. I would have grabbed the Wenger SAK as well but I know you can't buy them all. LOL. Something interesting I learned, if you have a damaged Wenger SAK, Victorinox will warrantee them as they bought Wenger out back in the mid 2000's. I've sent in a few damaged Wenger's and received new Victorinox models as replacements.
What a great video! I was talking to you the whole time you were going through that tote full of knives. You got all the ones I would have bought. Plus, you got a great deal on those knives! BTW could you please let me know what the model number is of that bone handle Remington you have been carrying. It’s a single blade folding hunter style knife. I tried to find what video you were talking about it to no avail. Thanks for your help! I appreciate you to the moon!
@ Thank you so much for this information! I deeply appreciate it! I just bought one off eBay for $50. I thought that was a good deal. I deeply appreciate you!
Hi! When you an Mr Barry were swapping Remington knives, I had to look, as last year, at the Cheyenne Rifle and Pistol Club Annual Gunshow, I bought a "Box O' Knives" that had a green Remington box marked One R4 Utility. Inside, though, is a green handled, R13, with knife blade, gut hook, and 12 and 20 gauge combo choke tube wrench. Sure looks like the knife in the upper left of your display, but with different colored scales. Appears to have been pulled down, sold, and put in the wrong box and put in this fellers collection. Any idea what the thing might be worth? Enjoy Your videos, from an old SAC Cold Warrior. Take 'er easy, have fun, don't git caught! From the great State of Idaho!
Watching you move that piece of plastic 50x instead of just taking it out, reminds me of my 10yr old sonwho thinks its smarter to move the rugs when sweeping and vaccuuming, instead of picking them up and putting them out of the way, so he doesnt have to fight them the entire time…
I saw that daddy Barlow I call it and I had one a dear friend give me when I was in grade school. The sure edge I think it was but anyway a boyatschoolcheated me out of it cause like an idiot i let him have it to use and I recon my question isis there awayi could buy it. Im66 now and I e missed that knife since I was 12
