I've had every version since the first as keep loosing or dropping them. Unimpressed with v3 and V2 was my favourite, until this latest version. It's an absolute beast. Incredible power in such a small package. I really like the smoother design which looks and feels nicer to hold. It feels more compact also and the flat tail stand makes it more stable. It's substantially brighter than previous versions and seems tons more efficient as it goes for hours. Love the constant output due to boost driver, while thermal throttling and increasing seems to be well tuned. The power bank mode is a great feature, plus there's the familiar controls / interface. Wasn't expecting such a step up after v3 was disappointing but this is excellent.
Thank you for the overview and the beamshots Jacob, brought this sp33s to the mountain a month ago , use it in a field of tea plantation, lit a vast area of tea trees.. love it, i love sofirn ui. This type of torch, perfect to scan a wide area with the turbo. even the high is quiet useful. Cheers🔦
Realise I’m late, but wanted to say thanks for such a useful review. Your consistency with the beamshots really allows for proper comparison (the drone perspective is great too - really shows throw well). I have a TS21 and can now see just how floody it is. Is your example 6500k? As for SP33S, performance and beam both look good, but it gets too hot to achieve it for my liking (my TS21 is also not great in that respect, so I’m looking for something that can maintain 1k lumens or so without getting too hot. Currently contemplating Convoy M3C and Thrunite TC20 v2. Oh and finally nice scenery (I’m from NZ too).
Thanks for the comment, great to have another from NZ watching. Yes, this was the 6500k tint. If you're wanting something to remain relatively cool at 1000 lumens then the M3C would be a good choice, I used to sell the M3 in my store and that could hold 1400. I was going to say the Sofirn C8L, but the body sits at 51°C which could be too high for you. Everything before the Sofirn SP10 Pro review had the wrong camera settings, even the drone was way too bright. I went ahead and bought a photography computer monitor and found out my old one was way too dark, so that's the reason. I'll be reviewing the Acebeam X75 80,000 lumens, it's going to look incredible from the drone.
I have the M3-C with the 70.3 HI and love it. I bought it with the extension and 26800 battery. Sustained run times and doesn't get too hot. It is a size up from the sp33s, but I do find myself reaching for the M3-C more often
Hello! Thank you for the video. What flashlight would you recommend as the first universal flashlight for distances up to 50-60 meters? Thanks in advance for your reply.
ThruNite Archer 2A V3, 500 Lumens, 108 Meters. Takes 2 AA batteries and also regular rechargeable batteries. This is the best value for your money flashlight you can get while keeping your costs down. You'll be glad you did.
@@MrDemalit No problem. It's received amazing reviews. It's the best value for your money all around, home use, emergency, camping flashlight you can buy. If I had to get only one flashlight at the least expense, this would be it. The next best value for your money with higher power would be the one in this review the Sofirn SP33S. I own both and love both of them. The only other one I want to get is the even more higher powered Astrolux EA01S Luminus XHP50. Then I'll be all set.
Hey, I've got a question. Is this normal, that when the button turns red, the levels (100, 600, 2000) becoming lower/weaker? The battery then is 3.7v, in my opiniom it's enough to still keep higher output. Is this how the boost driver works? When i move this battery to my Astrolux ft02s with FET driver, it illuminates much brighter. While the sofirn becomes weak still with 3.7v. It makes me sad about sp33s
Why should I share that to my competition? lol just kidding. I use the Sony A6500 with the Sigma 16mm F1.4 lens which is one of the best low light lenses available. I may sell this and grab the A6600 so I can flip the screen to Vlog. Matt Gill (Flashaholic channel) uses the same lens with the A6400 I believe. Settings I usually use are ISO 800, 1/30, F1.4 when little to no moon, but with a full moon I drop down to ISO 400. I do edit the levels a little in post too.
@@PiercingTheDarkness I just watched on PC screen, your video has same pixelation as mine in low light areas. So I guess we can't do anything about this, as this is most likely caused by UA-cam encoding in VBR (it thinks there is no useful information and gives less bit rate). So better camera will not give better results in those areas, just overall crisper image. In my last video shots for upcoming reviews I made a mistake filming with 2.8 aperture at 6400 ISO, probably will have to retake videos. Anyway thanks for answering :) Will keep seeking solution for this and will let you know if I find it. :)
This Sofirn will not be in my Arsenel poor beem performance horrible green or yellow edge to the corona . Why the hell do they want to use a LED piece or crap XHP70.2 I would rather have them use the SST40 or the SFT40 chip cleaner edge to the beem pattern and better white light from 5000K to 6500K. Good review has saved me getting this to torch cheers
5000k isn't yet available on the SFT40 though, only the SST40. I understand about the yellow corona, but I couldn't see it beyond 15m and that's not going to bother me, but it's not everyone's cup of tea. Maybe they could have gone for the GT FC40 emitter so they could stick with the boost driver, otherwise they'd most likely use a FET+1.

Шикарный обзор! Спасибо большое! Всё, что хотела - увидела.
Хороший фонарик.
Hey... You talked🤣... always a great review... I have one of these and it’s a beast compared to the previous versions... keep up the great work 👍
Well, I'm starting to feel that giving a little talk is better since I can really explain the issues, if any.
Thank you
beautiful shots. what a wonderful review. thank you

Great Edit, thanks!
Kaidomain has the 3000,4000, and 5000k XHP70.3 Hi in stock. Seems like this light has modding potential.
Exactly what I've bought alongside an SP33S. 5000K 80CRI and 4000K 90CRI HI versions, to see which I prefer
Certainly could be a good idea, but the reflector height may need adjusting
Great sofirn flashlight video, 👍

Man, no magnetic tail? Do you think if I attach a neodymium magnet on the tail cap would affect the battery or charging?
You don't often see lights of this size with a magnetic tail. Adding a magnet will be perfectly fine.
I like your vidio from indonesia

Small issue using this lens for speaking is the mic picks up the auto focus sound. I switch to another lens for the unboxing/talking.
