    That's a really good diagram. What's fun is when vehicles have factory semi-hidden compartments, like GMs having the radio slide down to reveal a cubby or Nissan SUVs having bins in the floor that you have to fold the back seats forward to get to. You have to know about them in the first place or get lucky searching to find how to open them.

    One other method;
    When I’m doing a consent search, I go for the most likely areas something may be hidden first. Since consent can be retracted at any time, I want to maximize the first few moments of that search.
    Once I’ve hit the areas that produce the most (center console/glove box, under/between seats/door pockets) then I’ll slow down search quadrants.

      Why would anyone ever consent to a search lol. Fools are born everyday.

      @@iRacerJared probably cause this pig intimidates people. People get intimidated by men who can legally do whatever they want to you.

    Great primer on vehicle searches! One thing I like to do is within a quadrant search, go from top to bottom. That way even if I miss something that later gets dislodged, I have a chance to find it in the footwell of the vehicle. On the same subject, even after I think I've finished searching a vehicle I go back and do the floor again, just in case something gets dislodged and falls to the floor. It's super easy to conceal small items like individual drug packets & small amounts of ammunition in vehicles, so always take the time to do a thorough search, no matter what work pressure you're under.

    Hey Tommy, I was wondering if you could do a video about the best handcuff pouches/holders that you have used and also where the best placement on your duty belt is? Personally, I like the dual handcuff pouch where you can put two handcuffs in on pouch but not sure of the best placement for that in case I'd have to wrestle someone in cuffs reaching for my handcuffs in my back left hip area (Trying to keep my right handed sidearm away from the offender grabbing it and using my left arm and hand to lock their arms in for a detainment.) Let me know your thoughts on this and also thank you for all your educative content on these procedures.

    I keep forgetting that up North where I'm presuming this guys at that a gun in a car would actually be an unusual thing that everybody doesn't have. Where I live most of the guns on the street were stolen out of peoples cars who'r too stupid or too lazy to lock their vehicles automatically arming their factory alarm & then have the audacity to get on the nextdoor app & bitch and whine about their vehicles getting broken into ..

    You really feel it is necessary to train and explain how to search through a car? Who's performing the search, Forrest Gump? Civil servant exam has gotten way too easy
