I watch a lot of these and I've never seen such difficult obstacles negotiated so effortlessly. Notice the application of the brakes uphill to assist the traction control.
With a good driver they are almost a go anywhere machine. Have you seen the latest video featuring this Hummer? Check it out and let us know what you think. ua-cam.com/video/ipuCNCtwpDc/v-deo.html
There was some scrubbing but tbh i dont remember on what. Some massaging and modding was needed. The bar is also custom made on factory styling to accept the high mount winch and clearancing.
Well, finaly a video of H1 with actually skilled driver. There is reason for saying "truck is about as capable as its driver". Most have H1 and zero clue what it should be driven like. But here I can see some really nice patient job. (y) :)
I have wanted a Hummer since the first time I read an issue of Peterson's Off-road Magazine that featured a club that was nothing but Hummers. It came out quite a few years ago when I was a teenager. I'm 42 years old now and there is still not another production vehicle that can even come close to the capabilities of a Hummer. In the article there was a Hummer that had rolled down an up hill trail. It had rolled quite a few times down the hill, was rolled back over on it's wheels, finished wheeling and drove home after the end of the day. As a teenager who had been raised by a Father who had 4 wheel drives I was in awe. Even to this day I am still impressed and and I still consider Hummers a dream vehicle. Hopefully one day I will be able to own one of my own
They are really awesome machines. I hope you realise your dreams and one day have a Hummer of your own. Thank you for taking the time to drop us a comment.
If you have about 10k those dreams can easily come true, or if all you have is 5k check the gov action website for one without a title and 2 month paperwork wiaght, but it really isn't hard to get one.
Stefano Cucchi non è una bestia totale, l'Hummer è veramente una bestia incredibile, non si ferma mai. Quando ne troverò una in buone condizioni, la comprerò. WAW!!
It sure is. And he is getting better at driving it as time goes on. Be sure to look at tomorrows release... Hummer H1 vs Nissan Patrol, its going to be a good one.
tim krzywicki Yes he has learnt to get them torsens working with brake throttle modulation extremely fast, especially considering its his first auto off road vehicle. Check this video out on the same trail it was his first time to hit the dirt with the H1 ua-cam.com/video/cewOG1EhJuo/v-deo.html
Wait, so this H1 don't rub without any lift? I need some new tires on my humvee and Im thinking about 40s but idk if I'll need a lift. I would love to keep them the same width as the regular tires, I just want some taller
One question: did you modify your suspensions? I mean did you body lift your Hummer to use these 40" tires? I have one Alpha model and want to know if I can simply replace my original size tires to 40" tires?
It's O.K to be a straight white alpha male! No he didn't change the suspension. The front tyres scrub just the slightest on lock while under compression.
This is a strange hummer, it has 2001 and up mirrors, alpha air cap, alpha wheels, 2 gas tanks, yet it has pre 96 air wents on the cab, ?? What year is this hummer ?
REAL4wd it is a 96 however it is right hand drive so a few things had to be changed on the conversion and a few bolt on alpha things have been added on also, good spots! You know your H1s very well.
REAL4wd its a beautiful truck mate. And love the upgrades. trully one of the nicest upgrades with original Hummer gear. Very classy tough rig. When you make another video. Would you mind giving a comentary on how you drive and control the beast. And what your looking for like wheel placement and different approaches you look for to ensure you clear what your driving over or that your not going to roll her over. Thankyou for the great video guys very enjoyable.
REAL4wd He has come a long way in a short time. His first time off road in the H1 was on this same trail in this video ua-cam.com/video/cewOG1EhJuo/v-deo.html
@@lror 1 Do you often use the brakes in these conditions or is it just the torsen diffs that do their job? 2 Are torsen diffs also useful with a manual gearbox in off road conditions? Because with an auto box you have your right foot free to brake ... Cheers from Holland.
Brodan Aylott Yeah they come out standard on 37s plus they are built the same as the military humvees except get a few comforts 😂 on the civvy models. So they are built in mind to take the extra weight of armour plating and the big machine guns etc.
@@lror H1s with Torsens do just fine with lifted wheels (diagonal). Do the BTM and move right on. Got two H1s, one is first year civilian model and is almost 30 years old, still runs great.
This is the BEST video of a hummer h1 of ALL UA-cam. No bullshit, no walk around, tires at 4psi and some reeeeeaaaaaalllll offroading! Great vid
+Juan M Thank you so much for your kind comment 👍👍

One of my all time favourite videos. Did the big tyres on the hummer hit the air intake box ?
There was some scrubbing but tbh i dont remember on what. Some massaging and modding was needed. The bar is also custom made on factory styling to accept the high mount winch and clearancing.

Love seeing the 2 Doors offroad, there is not enough footage of them out there!
HumveeLife Plenty more to come 👍
How stock is the truck? That's pretty badass if you're not too far from stock other than 40" tires (only 3" from the stock 37" tires).
HumveeLife Yeah goes really well. Other than the custom bar with a high mount and 40s its pretty much standard.
Is this a right hand drive Hummer? Check out my two door Hummer H1 Videos👍🏻

man, this h1 is a beast

I always wondered what the H1 would have been like off road, that's very impressive 👍
+Richard Orsulich 👍with a good driver behind the wheel they are very capable indeed
his driving has improved alot! nice truck
Nice! first vid I've seen of one not crawling a mall parkinglot.
Haha stay tuned for more H1 non mall action.
Looks like he's BTM-ing it up the hills on account of the brake lights. Great driving!

Thanks for the link! looks like he's mastered the technique quickly. Love watching your videos, keep-em coming and stay muddy!!

There was some scrubbing on full lock at times but nothing a bit of massaging couldn't fix.
@@lror That sounds good, I'm thinking about going with the same tires on my M1123
You wont be disappointed 👍
@@lror Which tires you went with?
Nitto Trail Grapplers 👌
What tire pressure is he running? And are those real beadlocks ?
Did you do the right hand conversion? peace
now that's a good ass driver who knows how to handle a car perfectly plus this my favorate 4x4 car
Mahmoud Salem Both man and machine are great 💪💪
Great video - the driver is awesome! I appreciate the rear view shots as it demonstrates his BTM technique. But, I don’t know the year of this beast??
Thank you. I believe its a 94-96 off memory
Is this thing running lockers now?
TVR161 Nah just the Torsens that come standard on these.
Well done. Good driver.
What year is the H1
96 with some alpha bits
Great video! Amazing H1.
T Le Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it.
Wow that Hummer looks like it can go anywhere. Nice vid lror keep them coming 👍
Rover Lord Plenty more Hummer videos to come. Thanks for watching our videos 👍
Any body lift or springs ?
No no lift and just factory springs. The 40" tyres rubbed at the front but a bit of trimming and massaging fixed that.
One last ? Did you have to lift it for the 40's to fit?
mygooglusername nope fit fine as is without the lift and don't rub at all
I would say he got the air pressure perfect for this trail.

Grant Collingwood look for the how to drive a hummer off road made by am g themeselfs, very inforamtive.
Was yur front bar custom built? Also, do you have anything done to yur diffs?
mygooglusername yep the bar was custom to fit the high mount and everything else is stock as per the driveline
Awesome driving skills;)

Beautiful video!!
wow what a beast. nice vid.
Raymond Logister Sure is, thanks for watching our videos mate.
How you can get rhd hummer h1?
Its factory rhd or customized?
It's customized or rather converted to rhd for Australia.
That must have some strong cv jointsfor them 40s

Stock Engine ?
Yes stock Detroit.
H1 one of the best!, good driver!.

Mountain Tiger!💪🏻❤️
Imagine if Indian army had this !😎
Ifs is great if your taking your time and not hopping. I prefer solid axles but with ifs you learn better driving skills I think so you don't break
Thank you for the comment.
That thing just keeps chugging along like a tractor in the field.
Great car....
Great driver.....
Great vid.....! 👍😊
That hummer would of looked so much better with a dual cab 😔 well that's my opinion. Still what a beast, looks like it does it easy
Definitely a beast in both 2 or 4 door options.
on second thoughts (while watching) i think i just made a mess of me Y fronts
good luck on them skinny Jeep trails with that city bus - :)
Definitely dont want to be taking it down some narrow tracks.
It is so powerful I like these car
40's,low center of gravity and the wheelbase of a school bus, makes it look easy.
Summed up perfectly 👌👍
Exelente vehículo
ОХРЕНЕТЬ!!! ПРЁТ, просто ПРЁТ!!!!
raise that up
simply the best in extreme off-road, for me is NUMBER ONE.
Stefano Cucchi Its a total beast 💪
I have an H2 but i think i need to add to the collection and get the H1.🤣🤣
Now that would be a nice addition, you wont be disappointed.
Классный аппарат
💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
40in tyres auto and front rear lockers will make any truck look good.. try that in a manual transmission
busta rigz I agree but this hummer doesnt have lockers.
LROR Land Rovers Off Road looks like locked differentials to me
busta rigz there torsion diffs, if you hold break and gas they lock, so kinda yes but no on them being lockers.
okigojuryu 1979 Downside of torsens is once you lift a wheel they arent effective. BTM is somewhat helpful but not like lockers.
@@lror H1s with Torsens do just fine with lifted wheels (diagonal). Do the BTM and move right on. Got two H1s, one is first year civilian model and is almost 30 years old, still runs great.
