Dodge Ram Off Road & On Road Rescue

- We hope you all have had a great Christmas and wish you the best New Year.
In this 4x4 video we feature Australia's premier Dodge Ram. It is the most modified Dodge in Australia and possibly the world. 100s of hours have gone into this rig with mostly custom made modifications, a truly built not bought unit. The mod list is extensive but has some way to go before it is complete. This is the second off road test. The first was done when the front suspension was finished in its first form, which has since gone through even more changes. You can watch the first video here • Dodge Ram 4x4 Off Road...
This off road session we test the climbing ability now that the rear suspension is complete. Rear sway bar is still connected and limiting travel to stop the 40 inch tyres from scrubbing the tub. We finish wheeling off road and head home. Just when you think the day is over we encounter a semi trailer that was blocking the road at a switch back up the mountains and the Dodge Ram is called in to help. In the end the Dodge has to make its way to the front and pull the semi trailer out.
If you would like a detailed look at all the modifications this Dodge truck has had check out the build page at Dodge-Ram-Projects-666214673547041/?ref=br_rs
We hope you enjoy the video as much as we enjoyed the day out with this truck watching in amazement of how well the truck as a whole was able to climb and work.

I've driven that first track in appin in my patrol and its crazy watching the line you took knowing how massive it is in person love your truck mate
Yeah it's a good one, shame it just doesn't show how big/steep it is on video.
Yeah in person that spot looks impossible
nice accent
Will be the first to admit I am not a fan of American vehicles, let alone "Trucks", but this thing has me frothing for a ram of my own to build into a crawler.
Merry Christmas and happy new year LROR crew!
Dodge has a very interesting 4wd history. they were the primary allied ambulance vehicles during ww2 and the power wagons are prized here in the middle east as they were the first oil exploration vehicles.
It's about time we see the Ram. Now you know why I love my Power Wagon. Total Beast! That was awesome that he was able to help the semi.
Great machines both off and on road 👌
@@lror Just needs some protection for the rear. He could check out Maple Offroad in Canada for the high clearance rear bumper to get an idea. I have Maple's bolt-on 4th gen bumper that I had Line-X coated that offers better than OE clearance but even if I drop full weight on it, no worries. For his rig, I could see the high clearance bumper being a good fit. Requires a little fender trimming, but has a boat side appearance/functionality.
@@johnfitzgerald5158 the rear is all changing. I think you will like what's on the menu.
@@lror The Power Wagon has 17's which is a plus.
@@gen1c8rs88 i think running 40s on 17s might have too much sidewall flex on road.
Here in the states we have a popular motorcycling road called “Tail of the “Dragon”. There are 318 hairpin curves in 11 1/2 miles. Tractor trailer trucks regularly get hung up in the curves. I have as yet to see a rescue as creative as that. Good job.
I think they stopped trucks from using the TotD. There is a road in WV outside of Charleston with several hairpins that trucks use Its 60 going to Hawks Nest
@@craigwiess1656 last time I rode trucks weren’t allowed on it but a few tried it anyway.
This thing does ridiculous things for a full size!
Yeah 100%
That truck is built correctly. It made it look easy. Very nice build
Yep so much time has gone into it, and he keeps on improving it all the time.
If anyone here has been up the Bunya Mountains, I have seen a B-double try to go up the Dalby side. They had to un-hook the whole thing and skull drag the trailers 180° around. Absolute mad lad for trying though
Wow, I can hardly believe what I saw there. Your Dodge is awesome that it pulls away a huge truck, a real power truck. Thanks for sharing, stay safe Dirk
Merry Christmas to you and your family and the rest of your crew
Thank you, right back at you and the fam 🍻👍
I just got a 2021 ram 1500 classic 4x4 with the warlock off road package 5.7 and 3.92 gears, I love your ram! Great video ❤
What a machine 💪
Beast 👊
very interesting to see the full version!! what a coincidence!
It's more detailed as to what went on than the facebook version but we still cut out a bit otherwise it would get too boring 👍
Very impressive!
Wow unreal
Yeah its a real weapon.
@@lror mate that’s the most impressive thing I’ve seen this year, cheers mate enjoy the holidays
Crazy bastards I wasn't expecting you to pull out that semi 😂👍
Wow ! Amazing
Awesome community service Zoltan.
He is a man of the people 😉
Wow, that's an incredible video. Talk about a rig that can crawl as well as haul. Do you guys get many Cummins powered rigs in Australia? I just bought a Ram 2500 with a Cummins as my daily driver so I think your timing is perfect inspiration for me. Amazing job all around.
The new gen is now more readily available but the older gens were low volume imports to Australia and the you need to do a rhd conversion so not as common. The cummins is an amazing motor. Be sure to check out the build page for more ideas and inspiration with yours. Link is in the description.
At 3:20 you know for a fact it was the most puckering he has ever done 😭😭😭
I've grown another set of balls after watching this vid.
Merry Christmas Evo.
Hope you had a good chrissy buddy 🍻
@@lror it was bonza cobber!. Now just have to try and get home lol.
Diesel strenght, torque and awesome suspension
Some day I will own a vehicle just like this one.
Wow you guys actually trim the fender flares and do a logical lift with your Cummins rams. Too many lifted full size trucks in the states wouldn’t be able to handle that trail. What size tires? I think your patrol 40”ers would be great for it
Running 40 inch tyres with custom pre-runner style front fenders. They arent finished yet though and the tub has some work to go.
@@lror the ram is so large it makes 40s look like 35s. Awesome setup. Takes the benefits of the long wheelbase to the max.
This is the most awesome video I've seen with a dodge cummins? What brand drive shaft Spacer is that ?
Bad ass It's a Cummins engine right?
Certainly a Cummins turbo diesel. Most likely a 5.9 L
if ever there was the green defender here, would go over the truck.
Is that 5.9 pre emissions Cummins in her?
Get you some Matt straps
Big girl 💪
Indeed 👍
I have been on way tighter roads than that with a long nose and a 53' trailer....that road is wide and a short trailer and a cabover lol
Yeah he must of approached it all wrong to begin with. Traffic was building up quick so thought we should help 👍
@@lror You guys did good to help him out.
4:28 was this your video ? Isaw this video on fb few months back
Yeah this is the full version of events, a bit too long for fb but hope you enjoyed it 👍
carmighty brought me here
Looks like a 3rd gen with 4th gen front clip and box
6:30 if you are here from Facebook
You "aussies" deserve to enjoy more powerful American vehicles in your country and put Toyota/Nissan aside. Australia is supposed to be an ally of the US, isn't it? Greetings from Costa Rica.
Honestly we don’t want them
The rams are nice but overrated this one though is fuckin mental
@@itsmini7092 If so, that's because you hate US, and consecuently you hate everything made in the US, don't you? Greetings from Costa Rica.
@@waltermeono5253 nah not really most of it just overrated
