    I make very different music from what you often demo in your videos but your tips are always broadly applicable and absolutely packed to the brim with great tips, delivered plainly, in a way that makes them really easy to learn and use as inspiration. One of my absolute favorite channels, Yalcin. Appreciate you.

    You’re my inspiration to start a YT tutorial channel and just deliver STRAIGHT QUALITY like you do.
    Sure you don’t have tons of subscribers but you still upload quality after quality after quality and I know for a FACT these videos are a pain to make/take tons of time (the editing, finding and recoding examples of everything you’re talking about, perfect camera cuts) but you just keep on going. Much respect

    • @pirds102010
      @pirds102010 2 роки тому

      the content is super nice! But the cuts are way too often and too fast this whole video makes me nervous and I dont like those cuts. Try to speak free, you will save much time cutting the vids

    Great video again, thank you!
    As for the last example with the crash cymbal: I've found that adding a semitone or two at the ending crash of a series can result in a nice contrast. Just a few more seconds of work, but sometimes just the extra spice the track wants :)

    Got stuck on your videos - very helpful, very condensed, straight to the point. I usually find myself skipping to the part where it gets interesting with other content creators, not so here.
    One can tell that you are putting a fair bit of preparation and thought into your videos instead of just filming yourself producing a track.
    Also your habit of always giving side by side comparisons is just great. Keep it up and thanks a lot!

    Impressive content Yalcin. I’ve been watching tutorials for over 10 years, these are on top the game. Another thing i’ve learnt from analysing tracks that seem fast paced, is actually nudging the element (ie hats) to come just a few milliseconds early by using the track delay in ableton. It seems to make my tracks faster paced. Other way around works as well to make things seem slower.

    I love the high shelf trick to give the impression of opening the filter without actually doing it! You could actually also do this with different things like a band-based saturation or bit-crusher or even apply it to samples where you can't open the filter for obvious reasons. Endless possibilities!!

    Rhythmically, you can drop the 16th hats for a brand replace with 8th or 8-triplets and bring 16ths back.
    Even if nothing else changes ppl perceive a "slow down" and when the 16th come back the bring new energy to the track. Add a quiet splash when the 16ths com back and it feels like a new track is playing ;)
