Origins had a special feeling about it, the setting, the side characters and more important, BAYEK, what a great protagonist
Yeah, Bayek's character actually had a lot more depth in it.
If only they integrated the stealth of Origins to Odyssey,Odyssey could've been the best out of the modern AC games or even will be generally agreed upon one of the best AC games and modern RPG games
They could've avoided the rifts between older Ac fans and the RPG AC fans. If only they integrated stealth tools, smoke bombs, and haystack assassinations but they didn't. All I do when I inflitrate is hide in the bushes and kill, and sometimes it is not even an instant kill. They could've improved more on the Hidden blade upgrade system of AC origns yet they just reworked it. Don't get me wrong AC odyssey did alot of right mechanics, Odyssey surprised us with things we never expected like the advance combat mechanics, Character build system, mini boss and boss fights, Exploration, Nation power struggles, and Wanted level system.
They missed the point that there are not that many RPG games with complex Stealth mechanics, AC Odyssey could've been that RPG, a complete package.

Origins is up there with AC2 and Black Flag
Sometimes I get connected with the game and its character. And such games are very few. After Assassins Creed 2 & Ezio, i felt connected with Assassins Creed Origins & Bayek. These two are best AC games in the franchise. AC is my fav game granchise, followed by GTA & Prince of Persia.
True. I have a very similar experience.
Origins is #1 to me it has improved combat, nothing special, but improved from the basic attack attack perry attack. But bayek was a bad ass and the story was the best to me
Odyssey is #2, too many rpg elements for me, the map and sailing was fun as far as exploration the story was basic to me but finally got to go to Atlantis but the characters weren't anything special
Valhalla is #3 (close to Odyssey) eivor was a great character the story was dragged out but great premise. Also too many rpg elements for me. And having your own settlement was really cool
Origins brought me back to the assassin creed series after a long time copying and pasting old ac games. I just got burned out by the series. I don't know about you but all that has change in the rpg games is the camera and some animations. The stealth in the rpg is harder and more tactical than unity or any other ac games if you play hard or nightmare. I just feel like the new trend is to lower the bar on the ac games and back to the copy and paste ac games. So i will not be purchasing no more ac games only rpgs . But thats me and my money as till this day i can come back and feel excited on the open world as it immersed me back . And that is well money spend for me.
Origins is the greatest game ever
Easy. Odyssey > Valhalla > Origins.
I can tell u just LOOOOVE rpg in general for putting Ofyssey first out of the 3
