I recently had to change a tyre on my golf and it was the first time I was using a spacesaver jack (not a VW one either, just some cheap one). I definitely used the jack upside down (which meant, everything else aside, I cut my knuckles up trying to turn the handle because it scraped along the ground) and I'm almost positive I didn't have it on the jacking point (I think I had it on the suspension or something).
All in all, a learning experience I must say.

I have a 2014 VW Jetta and I do see where that dipple is- Is that area wide enough to jack up the car and also place a jack stand next to it ??

Ive had those jack points cave in/bend when jacking up, so i bought some lifting pucks that go aroundcthe pinched weld/lip and i havent had one bend on me since! Knock on wood! Hey thanks for making this video!

Thanks. I lifted mine previously on a minorly sloped driveway and the dam jp bent, they need to build those jack points better.
