Almost at the point in the game where we have modern jets and we STILL don't have the definitive bomber version of the mosquito....
I'd rather have a high-alt interceptor version, instead of 3 beaufighters and a fucking light bomber blocking my way to the hornet.

Good decision not to fly the 57mm variant, Gaijin rendered it sterile by forcing you to carry 60+ minutes of fuel in a game which can now reach 25minutes at maximum.
i mean bombers min fuel load is almost always over 45 minutes anyways sooooooooo

@@GewelReal B7A2 with 90 minutes of min fuel. Sadly it could actually be a really good dogfighter if it wasn't forced to carry enough fuel for just about the whole team.
Also if I remember correctly this aircraft had impressive range during its time and interesting characteristics
With an extra gas tank it could go from Britain to the USSR and back without refueling. It was also entirely made of wood, making them the perfect night fighter/interceptor as it was hard for radar during that time to detect them. Not to mention it's payload that could rival the Lancaster's payload pound per pound.
Gaijin really did this aircraft dirty.

@@martijn9568 One of the ways Gaijin balances planes in WT is by fuel load, the mosquitoes are both stuck with a ludicrously high minimum fuel quantity of an 45 mins on the mark 6 and more than an hour for the tsetse which makes them turn like a beached whale.

got my first 8 kill game in a mosquito a while ago. It's amazing how much you can do when people try to kill you head on.
I have the mosquito almost stock at the moment and I struggle to get up to bombers alt before fighters taking off from the airfield. It is one of my favourite real life planes but I just don’t enjoy it in war thunder. It is even missing half its bombs so I can’t ground pound properly either.

The Mozzie is one of the fastest planes at its BR at lower alts and takes damage really well, I wouldn't have called it a bad plane at all.
I called it horrible when stock.

that happens to me all the time that packetloss thingy i corkscrew out of nowhere its not a heavy packetloss its just a tiny bit but it somehow make you defensive fly for no reason lmao and sometimes i just flat spin out of nowhere lmao pretty annoying but idk in your case my friend but thats my experience with these packetlosses
my man 4:46 I hate when I'm about to reverse someone and then I got a beautiful kill ruined by a kill thirsty donkey who said "You weren't even having him", I always respect dogfights and keep an eye on them just in case I need to help. People should learn how to play correctly, not how to get kills.
Yea.. i hate people that kill burning enemy, and say that ' you werent even shot him dead' usually i burn people if not near the round or very high on the sky and make them lose control surfaces...

i mean i don't kill steal but often times i accidentally do.
i dont try to steal kills, but what i try to do is i instead just shoot the enemy a little bit to get a hit, and then i get the assist credit.
but sometimes i accidentally pilot snipe them or the game just thinks oh hey you got the last crit you get the kill.
and even its sometimes as bad as i hit someone once with a gun and get a hit, and i get the kill credit despite them setting them in fire

@@sovietsheep5051 no, the Mk IV is still missing around 100 KPH, if I remember correctly even the prototype broke 400 MP/H which is 640 KP/h aka 100 km faster than listed in game
Actually the top speed of the FB Mk VI is around 618 km/h, but Holy shit it's still underperforming. The Mosquito in the game can't even break 600 kph in level flight LOL.

What's the best belt for hispano's? I can't understand the amount of sparks I get with the Air targets I have to go with ground targets...
Stealth in my experience
Ground targets belt likes to shear off wings and pilot snipe, if ur not used to the ballistics, get used to ground belts before switching to stealth
tbh it doesn't matter that it's technically not a kill steal, the important thing is that you can use your time and ammo better, it's better for the team as a whole and your own performance if you save your ammo for the next guy and kill him, If you don't waste your time on someone who's definitely dead and instead kill someone else it means more people are killed faster which is how you win. Ending up in a situation where it's 4v2 is obviously better than letting one of the enemies stay alive and have the situation be 4v3.

Not sure about that variant, but the regular tech tree variant (F7F-3, i think)used to suffer from overheating iirc., not as severe as the Bearcats, but still.

I just used it strictly as a bnz plane, but it locks up at high speeds and it's annoying to use at its br. with little advantages beside its armaments.
Jengar had a video on this plane, i think the premium variant too, the stock syndrome on the regular variant is really bad.

I love the Mosquito. It's fast and has lots of guns. A lot of players underestimate what it can do, even the 57mm one

I got my first ever ace in that plane, and the record holder for most air kills.
which for me its 6 (player kills) for air realistic. and its one of 2 planes i ever got a natural ace crew in.
i've gotten 4 more aces since then, and sadly those 4 aces are shared between 2 planes, the F4U-4B and the G-56.
and yes they count by defyns defynition too. I didn't land to rearm in any of those aces.
although i died in two of them...
@@samuellatta6774 me too that would be really cool if it had a 50 cal through the propeller in my opinion it would be even better. Less weight and more firepower if it had a 20mm or 50 cal through the propeller. However the 37mm does have it's upside, I use the 37 and mgs separately so when I run out of mgs I still have 30 rounds left

I had a guy say "he wasn't on fire so it was anyone's kill" on a guy that was stalled out 0.30km above me while I was shooting at him after a 2 minute dogfight. Some people have literally zero respect in this game.

Please don't. A Mosquito in a down tier is pretty much untouchable if played right. With that airspawn it can still be at or above the enemy when they merge after the start, but you are going to accelerate much faster* than most if not all single engine fighters at altitude. If you have an ally baiting the enemy, then you can just extend and boom and zoom the enemy to death.
*I still have to actually test that, but it really does feel like that.
Edit: The acceleration at altitude is actually subpar after I tested it against some 3.7 and 4.0 fighters.
@@martijn9568 nope, you won't. When I see a mosquito at my alt, in my Bf 109E-4 or F-2 or even F-4, i think food. And that's just what it is. Also feels like that when flying it. Food.

What does meta mean?
It looks so weird when you see from the top or bottom you see the wing is split kinda. Like between the engine and the cockpit its more up, while between the engine and the other end of the wing is more down in a way. Idk how to explain it 😅

Not sure why anyone complains about 7.7s tbh. Planes that use them have enough of them or are at a low enough br that they are effective. Tracer belts are also all incendiary.

If I lose by my mistakes or because the enemy is better it's ok I can understand it but if I lose because my connection dropped or the random pl then that's not good mainly cuz there's nothing i can do

i had this one thing happen to me where i got into a dogfight with a 109, and for 3 seconds i lost control of my aircraft and it just kept turning, which resulted in my death.
another time was when i was heading towards someone, and i got server not responding, and sure enough the one guy i was following got behind me in the blink of an eye.

The Mosquito is actually a British take on German Schnellbomber, as evidenced by the bomber canopy type typical to British bomber (e.g. Lancaster)

It's a shame the nature of air RB renders one of the most capable planes of WW2 completely useless.
I was that yak3 and even tough I have no way of showing that it actually was packet loss I would have never went straight in front of a mosquito.
And I do believe that going straight and doing a barrel roll is considered a wonky maneuver, especially in that situation.
