The 57mm Mosquito is a severely underrated ground attacker. I've brought this thing into top tier matches and it will slice through a T-72's upper plate at the perfect angle. It's extremely accurate too so I've been able to reliably aim and hit the drivers port. It's also very fast too. You can regularly accelerate to 500+km/h in level flight with this baby! It's seriously in my top 3 for most favorite cannon-armed ground attackers in the game right after the XA-38

I hated Cromwell V when I got it, may be because I didn’t understand it, or because stock, but then I figured it out and was very happy with the results. And then Cromwell 1-stab, super good cannon, very accurate and good pen, easily crit Russian and german KVs, german Churchills, Hetzers and anything else really.
I wish they would expand the number of Mosquito variants in the game. Like the bomber versions that could carry a 4000 lb bomb; the night fighter versions , the torpedo bomber version. Come on Gaijen!

Watching this in 2024, the 3.7 BR is so much more stacked now. The tanks you're facing in the Cromwell V are so much less scary than the tanks it sees now. That tank really needs to be put at 3.3
When they would shoot, they would aim short and when the shell hit the water it would go down a couple of feet then parallel to the surface. It would punch nice holes under the waterline.

Even when he doesn't and he's uptiered he seems to pull of some miraculous BS shots that even he often says shouldn't have penned. Meanwhile 4/5 of my shots land about a foot away from where aiming all the time. Which i would usually just put down to me being shit but when it happens on test drive as well on perfectly static targets even with arcade settings then something's been changed. the shot dispersion is attrocious atm. I dont know when they changed it but it's really starting to piss me off and i just can't enjoy the game when by the time one of my shells finally decides it going to land where I'm aiming it I'm already dead

Game i use to play online ....The Mosquito "Tse Tse" with the 57mm And 8 rockets ....We use to fly 3 of them And 2 Tempest for top cover...You would set your flaps in the 3rd setting Throttle back to 40% And glide 200ft off the ground And lobby shells into tank rows 1 or 2 would knock them out depending on the type You would have to play with the rudder after a shot And trim a few degrees upward ...One of the best planes to play with for ground pounding at tree top level
I actually watch your vids for tips and tricks to pick up sometimes. I have picked up shooting in the opposite direction of an enemy behind a building with my MGs to bait them into thinking that I'm shooting at something else and peeking. A decent amount of times, it actually works.
I love this aircraft and the Crom V. It’s my favourite ground pounder, not because it’s the best in the game (let’s be realistic when we have aeroplanes like the Wyvern, Tbolts, etc.) but because it’s different than the typical CAS gameplay. It teaches you patience and forces you to employ historical tactics to be successful. I usually try to cross over the combat area and drop down from altitude using a Split-S to conduct attack runs at the historically advises 30-degree dive. This allows you to maintain plenty of speed to get out of the AO and evade fighters while not overwhelming the airframe structurally. You also have a lower chance of crashes that result from control lock. Your shots are also more accurate when you’re not worried about the manoeuvre recovery. The key to success is straight-line energy retention, shallow dives, and knowing when to disengage. Also, can we please get Saint Andrew’s Cross as a decal in game?
All you had to do against the Stuka was dodge his first pass and then make him pull a flat 180 to chase you. ONE of your engines is more powerful than his ONLY engine.

Funny, in real life the Mosquito's were universally held in high regard, and feared by friend and enemy alike for their competence and versatility. Higher flying and better payload than a B17, brilliant at tactical precision strikes, maneuverable on one engine. So potent that Goering famously declared that every Mosquito kill counted as 2 plane kills for his pilots. While the Duck was a sparsely used, mediocre plane that never had its many many issues fixed, mostly disliked by it's pilots. And the ME110 likewise was considered an average plane at best. But in WT, the mosquito's are near useless, while the ducks and ME110's reign supreme. Even the Stuka @ 26:00 has a better in game flight performance that the Mosquito, managed to turn 180 degrees, climb and catch a Mossie that was doing 500kph +... "realistic", more like ridiculous There's more 110 variants in the game than there are viruses in the wild... doesn't make sense
Not to nitpick too much, but... The heaviest bomb load any model of Mosquito carried was 4,000 pounds. The B-17 could carry up to 8,000 pounds. And I very much doubt the Mosquito was feared by friends. 😉

As for the bomb load I took as truth the info from a close friends father who was maintenance crew for Mosquitos in the closing stages of WWII and just after. Regardless, it doesn't change that the Mosquito was a better, more versatile machine than the BF110, Duck and possibly all the regular, in service machines used by the Axis powers**. Yet in Warthunder it grossly under-performs. **Not Axis, but possibly Russia fielded the closest equivalent with the PE series???

Mouse aim in WT makes all kinds of BS hanging in the sky shots possible. The game actually messes with the flight model (for example by preventing stalls and spins) to help the mouse aim maintain control, which (combined with the perfect instant reaction times of the mouse aim autopilot) has the unfortunate side effect of making 'unphysical' prophangs and stuff possible. Even Odd's Mosquito flying shows this, the constant hanging in the sky reversals at like 200 km/h are nothing like how a typical real life pilot flies, the plane would just be too hard to control in such a maneuver.

for some reason, on the Cromwell 5, no matter how many shells you have, it always displays at least 10 in your tank, even if you have 3
