Great how to video from beginning to end and Sarah and I loved it!! Full watch and great repair!! That Capri gun looks sharp bro! Best repair channel out
Finally someone that showed how to do this without taking the blade hub off. I finally got the one on my mower off and only then did your video show up on my list to see. Subscribed so I can see what else you can teach me. Thankful to have your video pop up and looking forward to more!!!! Thanks again!!!!
Toooom Doooobyyyy! Thanks so much for posting this video, Tom! If I ever buy a Honda Smart Drive Self Propelled Mower, I'll have this video to help me out! But, I have a '89 Yard Machine push mower that's STILL going strong. I TRIED to kill it a few times, but it just laughed at me and kept going!😳 Hope you have a PROSPEROUS season!
I bought the same mower. Never have been so disappointed. From the 11 times it took to start it the very first time, and the 5 or 6 times to start every time after that, to the leaking oil every where, to the drive breaking after about 20 hours of use. I expected it to be a decent mower for the price when I bought it ($469). My torro lasted 26 years before it lost spark. Next time I'll buy something else. What a pos.
I'm not sure how your video ended up in my feed, but i'm glad it did. I have a Honda HRR216K9VKAA self propelled mower. If you lift the rear tires off the ground, it appears the Smart Drive works. However, when the mower is on the ground, it doesn't feel like the Smart Drive is working. I adjusted the cable, but it didn't seem to do much, if anything. I also replaced the rear wheels since the originals were like racing slicks. Again, no improvement. Is there another area/areas of the mower you would recommend I look at? Thanks.

Glad I watched I got one of those and the drive is locked up so I now know at least how to take it apart thanks Tom wish me luck !
You have to assemble to control handle Prior to attaching the control cable to the bottom of the clutch assembly correct?
You kick ass, Tom! 🚜

Yea check the drive gears behind the wheels, the center of the gears may be worn and the spring loaded keys may not be catching
