This movie has a special nostalgic place in my heart. I remember coming home for Christmas break in 1999 from my first year at college. My dad and I rented this and watched it. That was during the whole Y2K thing too. Y2K and the new millennium and starting off college…those were exciting days and I miss them 😢
I remember watching this with my mom dad and sis when it arrived on vhs at home . Me and my sis absolutely loved it. Johnathan Taylor Thomas really makes use laugh. My mom and dad loved it . Happy 23rd anniversary
I watched this movie for the 1st time when I was like 10 or 11 at my grandpa’s house. My grandpa rarely watched any movies and was laughing so hard at some scenes. “Nolan the Elf” scene especially I remember 😂 The movie can be corny and the plot can be wack but it will always be a nostalgic movie for me! Underrated and feel-good for sure!

Then my mom switched to watching on Netflix in 2011 I think. She had to pay 14 dollars because my brother and I rented two movies that went missing. I bought National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation back in 2010 after watching it I bought at Wal-Mart. Watching instantly off of Netflix I think is more cheaper than ordering movies through the mail. I'll Be Home For Christmas is a great movie take a look at National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation it's really funny. It came out back in 1989 its a late 80's movie good movie. I rented because my Eric did a Christmas movie movie marathon for a little bit and then reviewed that movie.
I know it's not technically a great movie, but I just rewatched since it's the 25th anniversary. It's a pleasant-enough watch for a turn-your-brain-off Christmas movie night. A heck of a lot better than most of Disney's recent releases.

And was a huge fan of 7th heaven so when I saw Mary and Robby was in it, I KNEW it would be good. And add in Gary Cole and you got a winning funny movie right there. With it's dramatic and love scenes as well.
So hilarious that the place he is going back home to is Larchmont which is where I lived since I was 6. Funny they got the symbol but the whole setting is nothing like that🤣🤣🤣

Tim Allen actually got extremely pissed off when JTT did this movie. Because he said he was quitting Home Improvement to go to college. But instead of going straight to college, he did this movie and just hung Tim Allen out to dry.
It's funny how the trailer omits the motivating factor of him only trying to get home to win a Porsche from his father. Guess Disney didn't think that would make him a likable protagonist...and yet they made the movie.
Except for Lion King all of Jtt’s tanked at the box office. After this movie I don’t think he was offered any other leading roles. It’s amazing it took three or four movies for Producers to realize this guy had no star appeal

Come on, Disney, you made another worst 1990's flick again like Blank Check. I love the 1990's but there's plenty of worst flicks in the 1990's. For Christmas, I rather watch HOME ALONE anytime.
