All my advice is really shit and generic to be honest haha. Just practice heaps and then when you get sick of it just keep practicing more hah. Noodling while sitting down watching a tv show for example has proven to be helpful to me over the years

Yeah definitely. Most good guitar covers are just because they need to be double/quad tracked and play multiple parts. When using stems or a backing track you basically have to record it as if you were making the song or else it will sound bad.
