I just reclaimed my son’s e92 now that he has to pay his own repair bills post-college. Now I’m ready to make it a track car and happy to discover your channel for guidance. Are you now on your 3rd set of turbos - from OEM to Vargas to Pures to now Viv?
Yes, third set. The wastegate disc came off on the Pures which they repaired for free. The other problem with the twin turbos are that the wastegate actuator bracket start to bend back once you boost over 20 psi or so. This happened to both the pures and the vivs. Ended up sliding spacers behind the brackets while in place. Have fun with the e92!
@@kirium1047 I'm using stock calipers. I forgot which oem discs I was using, maybe centric. Brakes pads were quite thin so I think they overheated causing the deposits and pedal bounce. This was the first time I had this problem with the carbotechs. They worked quite well at Big Willow, Chuckwalla and Buttonwillow.
Thanks Roy, yes for some reason braking way early didn't seem to hurt my time that much on this track. This set of Carbotech were causing some bad brake shutter. Didn't have that problem on other tracks with less braking demand. I have some PFC-08 ready to go in once I get some new rotors. (Found out later the front inner pads were really thin causing overheating thus the brake shutter, was not the Carbotech pads)
The Automatic Transmission Temp needed to be selected in the MHD app. It wasn't selected in this video, so no reading. I use two sources of data, MHD app data from one phone and Race Chrono app data from another phone. The data is exported from the phones via .csv file. The .csv files are imported into the Race Render Windows app to overlay the data onto the video. The MHD app collects data from the DME engine, trans temps etc. The Race Chrono app collects GPS and accelerometer data (Speed, Gforce, Lap time etc). Hope this helps, thanks for your interest.
Nope, I don't use JB4. I did purchase my water meth kit from Burger Motorsports. I use a pressure switch to activate the water meth. It sprays at 8psi boost normally. It failed to work this time because of a mistake I made when installing a new switch. I use a smaller meth nozzle to prevent misfires as the car shifts.
@@DailyDriverTracking i have a aem kit and i am afraid to install without a failsafe as a sudden shortage of meth flow would happen while running an aggressive tune.
@@bahy-amir My tune is not that aggressive so it wasn't an issue with me. My car was custom tuned with meth injection running. When the meth injection failed the dme just compensates (adds more fuel) and when the iat's get to high the dme pulls timing.
@@bahy-amir I had experienced a cracked piston ring land when running a tune that was not made for a road course. Once the tuner was reminded that I was running a road course he adjusted the tune but it was too late. ua-cam.com/video/ElkE6W4JRr0/v-deo.html
@@DailyDriverTracking That's a nightmare for me. I would like to keep my stock internals last as much as they can 😅 i think i would run a higher octane ots tune and medium size injector for cooling and benefit from the octane push the meth will provide.
This thing looks like a beast, would love a chance to drive it.

What brake calipers/rotors are you running?

Great job Steve. Impressive to get such a fast time with all that traffic. Smooth is fast, so your brake issues didn't really hurt you.

I was curious what are you using to capture your data and video session recording? Also how are you capturing AT temperature? Thanks

Thanks! Definitely helpful!
Do you run jb4 with the water meth ?
