@@1999DoritoI was just about to mention the 4.3, it’s definitely more of a V8 gurgle at idle, but this sounds much deeper while revving. The 4.3 has that 70s muscle car raspiness when it’s straight piped

Sounds pretty good.
I prefer the sound of magnaflow mufflers.
I keep my 3rd gen quiet so I don't scare deer away when pulling up to camp.
My mazdaspeed3 has magnaflows and the sound is alot smoother and clean.

I cut the cat off my 1997 SR5 and put on a Thrush Welded (Flowmaster 40) and sounds awesome. It’s parked on the curb so the cat was likely to get stolen if I didn’t remove it myself.

I have the same year but 2WD. And has TRD HEADERS , straight pipe With Y pipe replacing the muffler with true duals with 6 inch Diesel tips!. On both sides black.

The 5vz-fe was far from being a Crap sounding v6, I had a 99 Tacoma with Duals into Cherry bomb Salutes and it was better sounding then the 350 i had in my silverado
