Very helpful. My cap was on too tight and I was worried about breaking it because I wasn’t sure it was threaded. Your video gave me the confidence to turn harder and I was able to get the job done.
The video has good intentions, I’ve been doing this for 23 years, be very careful when cleaning with rust remover/iron out to rinse those screens, they’re very inexpensive to purchase, especially that tiny screen. I’ve made two water softeners last in excess of 20 years by this maintenance.
Thank you for this! We had our system serviced and the guy put the screen on TOP of the O ring when he reassembled it so it leaked! I took it apart but couldn't figure out exactly how that screen fit right. Your video showed me!! I really appreciate it! I knew that O ring had to be against the cap but that screen was baffling me!
Yours is not dirty. Video was super helpful I just wanted to double check I got it back together the right way. My big screen was completely clogged. I am definitely going to do regular cleaning on this screen now that I know it exists.
Listening to you try to explain is excruciating. Try reviewing your information before you bore people to death. It is called being prepared. As for you camera focusing. Try using a tripod stop trying to get it to focus when it is handheld. You are blaming it on the camera but it is totally your fault.
Thanks for this. The manual that came with ours is printed so poorly that I couldn’t tell which way the red disk went back in. Ours was upside down. I may have done this during a previous cleaning.
hi i couldnt even turn the venturi cap off by hand units unpugged and disconnected from plumbing think its just a bunch of crap in there i use only morton rust free salt
Curious why haven’t you addressed the black mold on your waterlines? A little bleach spray please. Well intended video, hundreds of thousands of these softeners out there. I’ve serviced many.
This was good as I was double checking. The black big gasket has imprints in one side and the bottom you can tell the little screen goes before it. Also helps to video record yourself taking it apart and setting it out in order. Which should have done. You would think after rebuilding carbs so much i would learn my lesson. Now focus dam you focus!!! 🤣

When you said focus, I thought you were speaking to me. I thought that was your teaching method.🤣
Loved your video!

Oh my god thank you so much for this. This is my final attempt before I replace a 9 year old softener for a couple grand.

Why engineers don't prefer to use selonoid valves to contol the water ? for more smooth pass ? or not to stress the tank ? thank you
