Linkin Park sounds are between albums, and often feel sudden. Meteora and A Thousand Suns feel like complete different bands. It's less a switch and more a hard shift, which their fans can't handle. I loved LP and my taste changed with their shifts, but they were jarring

it's not because of that, personally i didn't like one more light and i love after laughter, because i felt like after laughter is just that, paramore switching things up and going for a different style, while i felt that one more light's quality as a whole just wasn't that good. so it's not necessarily about change, more about what they changed into
