the clean house mission is definitely my favorite cod mission ever. super intense, tight spaces, no music, just the sound of footsteps and whispering. really immersive. just wish there was more. IW should make a tactical SWAT game. much like SWAT 4.

I absolutely love those claustrophobic missions clearing out houses of the terrorist. I think it's a good change from the usual cod missions where everything is exploding and shots are fired from every direction.
Crazy part is that it is so goddamn quiet. No music. Realized that on the third to last mission

Me, someone who thought it was one of the best COD campaigns: :(
I think the problem people have is it's just really short. What is there is good, but length is pretty important for a lot of people. And I can understand that. My first playthrough was on Hardened, and with plenty of dying and restarting from checkpoints, I still beat it in one night. I'd say it took a little over 5 and a half hours for me.
Tristan Pearson I agree. I think it was really short. One of my favorite campaigns was MW2 because you were all over the world and there were so many missions. I feel that for the new MW the campaign could have definitely been longer.... but maybe it’s a tactic to get people wondering and hyped for the new Modern Warfare 2?... if they call it that
It is, compared to the shit we've been passed of with in the past at least 5 COD games, this campaign is fucking amazing.

Hands down the best campaign I’ve ever played in the COD series. I absolutely loved it. (The last two missions kind of lost it, but overall it’s still absolutely fantastic.)
Nitro Ghxst I guess I just really embraced the immersion of most of the campaign. The genuinely tense moments totally sucked me in, but then it had that Call of Duty element come out hard towards the end (like endless drones of people coming from nowhere to block you moving forward.) Pulled me out of it, but That’s just my personal taste, but they nailed it overall.

@Sebastian Ghosts storyline was amazing it's just the multiplayer kinda sucked. But it's been ages since a COD game had an amazing story mode and an amazing multiplayer to go with. But I feel like BO3 was decent enough it's just the storyline wasn't the best. But it was still entertaining enough.

I almost wish I hadn't. I think the game is waaaaayyyyy better than Jake makes it out to be. It's the first time I've felt this immersed in a FPS ever...and I've been playing FPS's since Wolfenstein 3D (yes I'm old as fuck). Even the multiplayer somehow feels pretty damn realistic this time around and I didn't think that was possible.
I'm actually watching this while I have 0 desire to buy this game. But gotta give some love to Gameranx though. :)

Empty 5ths you do realize that battlefield didn’t invent conquest mode right? the concept has been around for years and many fps games have it.
allbrosdjay for me, all 3 lane maps feel and play like three lane maps. In CoD at least. I definitely notice it and it was always a problem for me because rotating map position required running along a map-long lane, and people take advantage of that.
I loved 3 path maps, I also enjoyed mw2-mw3. I didnt think it would feel like battlefield.
The campaign was brilliant imo. The ending scene made me almost cry tears of happiness, and it didn't seem to short to me in the campaign section, but to be fair, I played on realistic.
I NEED you to tell me how hard it is to play the Campaign on the Realistic difficulty. I am trying to figure out whether I should start it out like that.

Zebulun Paul Cummings just do it. Get used to ADS all the time. And clear areas behind cover, very slow and careful like.
The game had a couple moments where it hits you in the feels. This is the structure cod should be following, dark gritty and make you go wtf , haven't been a good story since MW2.
Stopped after double jumps and wall runs. Bought this one for MW2 nostalgia. 100% greatness would buy again story is really intense tbh and multiplayer makes me feel good about coming back would buy again.

That Guy You didn’t ask me but i’ll still answer your question. I played it twice on Hardened and Realism difficulties. I beat Hardened in like 4 hours and Realism in about 6. Fun both times.
It's great, but felt a little short, like a warm up for the sequel

My friend convinced me to get back on COD because of this game and I like how slow and tactical the game feels in multiplayer and campaign mode. I completed veteran in a day and it was satisfying but definitely too short.

I'm loving it, the campaign is phenomenal, that clean house mission was wow!
The multiplayer is a blast. just hope the DLC will be as enjoyable, some are pretty Bland at the moment & map vote needs to return.
They'll hopefully add map vote once they have enough maps for each mode. There's only 4 or 5 classic-modes maps (TDM, S&D/CYBR, DOM, HQ), and two Ground War maps. Gunfight is meant to be random as well.
AbsoluteXXIV shiiiit Maan can't wait to get it. Waiting for the price to come down a bit. 100 usd for standard version is A bit insane.

Finkardop “The Embassy” was a good mission, but I liked “Going Dark” a little bit more. Both missions are intense though!
I wish Modern Warfare had a much much longer and more in depth single player mode.
As do I, my guy, as do I. I was hoping it would’ve been like 8-10 hours long for regular difficulty but not this year. At least CoD got its balls back. I was afraid the series (especially campaign) was gonna wither away and die.
I've yet to check it out so I can't speak with certainty, but it seems like they were testing the waters with this campaign after Black Ops 4 didn't have one, and if the reception is positive/wanting more, we should get longer and better campaigns again moving forward

I loved all the slow tactical missions, the big war missions felt just like every call of duty campaign.
Finally played the campaign. I have to say it is the best campaign to any shooter I have played.

Haven’t purchased it yet, but I’ve spent some hours playing a friends. This game is like Battlfield and Cod combined. The graphics are sick and the mechanics are awesome 🤷🏾♂️ the only problems are the maps 🤦🏾♂️
They just need to make a pool of the 3 lanes and complex maps. Though, it’s hard to keep the fans happy over something like maps.

I absolutely love the zero dark thirty areas in the campaign. They seem so realistic and it actually startled me a few times with where the people were hiding. Overall the atmosphere is great with complete silence during the mission so the suspense is through the roof. Love it all
The last cutscene was the perfect way to end the game though. It got me so hyped hoping they follow through with it

K M Game is great, the Campaign is the best one in CoD, multiplayer is also brilliant just many campers and they need to bring more maps out.

I'm stunned by how real things feel. It looks amazing which helps but playing mobile up until this point the sheer realism to my movement and every shot from any gun feeling so powerful makes a huge difference for me.

Imagine making a game for 3 years and exactly during the release weekend sony decides to be incompetent as usual and pull their network down... But they rather wasted money for an anti consumer exclusivity deal. Maybe spend that money on sever maintenance so you're not caught with your pants down every time there is an important release.

At the time of cod Ghost, people really were complaining that cod is always the same game, which to some extent was indeed true. They then decided to add new mechanics in the next cods and that's where everything went downhill, all they really tried to do is change something, as the community was asking. And now I see some people complaining that it's the same game as these before cod Ghost??? Some people have to understand that they can't not change anything and change something at the same time lol

I consider this game like the Renaissance period, for having brought COD once again to his former glory. Though, judging by the sequels that followed this game, that supremacy didn't last long, it was nevertheless awesome to see call of duty to be the hottest thing in the gaming world one more time. Salute.
