In this first collab video with @poh we bring to you the details of what a TYPE RATING is and the related details that you need to know.
In a CPL course in the flight school, a pilot learns basic hand flying skills on small trainer aircrafts like a C172. This will help the pilots learns and understand the physics and dynamics of how the plane flies and the limits of a fixed wing aircraft.
Type rating on the other hand is a (usually) 30 to 45 days course where the pilot learns to fly a particular "TYPE" of aircraft, usually a bigger, faster, complex aircraft with more buttons and switches in the cockpit and much more complex procedures.

In airline interview for type rated people in both written and interview do they ask cpl theory or they mainly concentrate on A320 theory stuff?
They ask both from cpl and the aircraft technical questions aswell... although just a very lil preference is given to questions from the aircraft

Airlines will charge a total amount that will include both the type rating cost and airline training cost

Yes they will, costs depends on the airline and type of aircraft

Yes ...salary changes on aircraft type ...but salary depends mainly on rank ...which you get with experience
But some consultancy companies are telling that cpl with tr total price 45 lakhs

International flight doesn't depend on type ratings ..it depends on the airlines that routes it operates...if you airline operates only domestic routes you won't get international flights

Should we do type rating after CPL or after getting a job, and i have heard that many airlines offer type rating, so which way is the best??
That totally depends on the market situation, and there is nothing like airlines offering type rating, they either ask you to pay upfront for it or deduct it later from salary

What about ATPL? Can you elaborate about this. Does an Indian Pilot need that? Or it gives an extra edge to your career?
An Indian pilot does not need it to fly for the airline (unlike in the USA where you need it atleast to fly for the airline) but you cannot become a captain without an ATPL in India

Nop, it is not true, that is PPC which is done every 6 months and is required fo lr pilots currently flying in airlines. Your rating is valid for 3 years
