So glad you’re back! IMO you have done so much for this hobby! You have inspired me to collect and restore games, and has become one of my favorite things to do. Please keep them coming!
Sort of thought the new popcorn machine was a big F-U to the haters of the old poor broken down one. He aggressively opened it. Lol. Then came to find out a viewer had donated it to him and was a much more wholesome moment after that. :)
glad you're back man love the videos, been following you on here for a while, love the old games, learn a lot keep them coming brother man much love and respect from Canada
Glad to see you are back and surviving in these strange times. In order to get my "John" fill, I started to listen to VGO. Loved the shows where you were tracking Covid and telling everyone to get 4x4s and stock pile food.
JOHN! Welcome back! We did a (obviously distanced) group watch with the local arcade community. You looked great on the big screen :D. Cheers from Stuttgart, Germany!
Welcome back brother. You're literally the only channel I'm subscribed to. You come back and instantly informed me about that barcade in "Wooster" lol. Great stuff. Don't lose the spirit!
For anyone wondering, The Galloping Ghost Arcade in Brookfield IL, IS OPEN!!! Not even Covid-19 can stop the power of 750+ Arcade machines under 1 roof.
I’m not sure if anyone will see this comment but please look more closely in this video! I’m a big fan of John and welcome back to the arcade buddy👍 I’m also big in the paranormal and I saw a ghostly orb towards end of video at time stamp 58:50. Look very closely at top portion of case it’s very faint but starts from bottom left corner to middle and darts to upper left of the case. I know a lot of you will say that’s just a reflection from game monitor or maybe John’s watch but this thing doesn’t move in a way a reflection would in that kind of speed. Just thought you should all know and believe me I’m sceptic and a lot of times try to debunk the unexplained but sometimes this stuff can’t be debunked.
So glad to see you back John! You were my inspiration to get my Arcade collection started! You have been missed and the Arcade Community is excited to have you back again!
Can't blame you for wanting to take a break, John. If it makes you feel better, I took a 10-year break from the arcade game hobby and just recently got back into it...in the past month I've acquired a Defender and a Donkey Kong Jr, the latter of which was free and needs a restoration. Looks like I've got a new project to tackle.
Amazing timing, I was only scrolling through your uploads about a week ago and wondering where you went! I then realised just how long I've been watching regularly for, and it blew my mind. Glad you enjoyed the time away, but a part of me selfishly is more excited for you to be back to doing more arcade goodness!
ive been following you for a long time dude, back before johns arcade on vgo and im glad youre back dude! im still waiting for the next killscreens album lol
Missed you! This channel was a modern day link back to the 80's! Loved the arcades, there was a sound, smell, and visual experience that these stupid consoles just don't capture! Plus you had to spend your hard earned money, not just hitting the reset button.
John, hopefully you see this but you mentioned an Arcade1up build (centipede). This would be a cool series! People including myself who have them as a way to try and relive and enjoy the arcade nostalgia would appreciate your take and expertise on modding and building a cabinet! There's a ton of mods that can be done for them, would provide a good amount of content and help a bunch of people who are trying to start out in the arcade hobby. Go with a small series with a build and couple mods (throw in a pi or low end pc for emulation? new tension spring installs for the sanwa clones they use? etc). Genuinely hope you see this bro, thank you for all you do. -Theo
John we have missed you so much.. I am so glad you are back. Life is not been the same without you. Many thanks for all you do for the arcade community! Love your passion! Don't ever leave again :-)
Dear John, man am I glad to see you. I caught a few podcasts you guys did just to hear your voice & know that you were ok. I started to get worried about ya. And I still got my John's arcade sweatshirt I ordered. I walk into some of these arcade bars in Indianapolis and the owners always run up to just to check out the John's Arcade Sweatshirt. I need to get me some of the T Shirts over here. But I dunno if you still sell them. -Randy French from Alexandria Indiana. :)
Your first video back it's not a cabinet needing fixing, but a tripod! Well, I wasn't really shocked when you were gone. You took about a 6 month break, came back for a bit and you were gone for a year? Couldn't really blame you. You were bound to get burned out besides the channel, job, kids, family. You're one of my favorite hosts, glad to see you back. I'm not sure if you took a break from the podcast and forum, maybe I missed out there. But man, maybe you should take on a project, then give yourself a month break or whatever you feel. You need to pace yourself, John! It's like you were doing a full on spirit since starting the channel. I'd rather see you every 2 weeks or once a month than a whole year. Anyway, not trying to tell anybody how to live, you do you, but don't burn yourself out! We love you, John!
NIce to see you back. Your channel is one of the reasons I ended up getting a classic of my own at home. Didn't do it myself - got one refurbed from TNT but I'd never have even considered owning one before. I've got myself to do a few really simple things like check voltages using a multimeter, twiddle display adjustment pots and see how the buttons work etc.
Sorry I'm late seeing this one. Glad to see you're back in the Arcade. Regarding your Centipede, from Arcade1up, if you've not already built it, I'd highly recommend you order a Glen's Retro Show trackball. The stock trackball is garbage. Hopefully, your Centipede won't have the audio/video sync issue, mine did. But, A1up may have an updated board, to fix that. I know their partycades have the updated board, and no A/V sync issue. Just an horrible trackball. LOL. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the new video dude! You inspired me to build my own 4 player arcade cabinet! I'll send some pics! It has a retro pie setup with over 6000 games!
We may be in a pandemic and there's riots in the streets. And cats and dogs living together. Mass Hysteria. But John is making videos again. Some how the world seems much more happy and cheerful. WELCOME BACK JHON!
Very glad to see the basement again, sounds like you have had some good downtime. Let me go and put my John's arcade t-shirt on and enjoy the episode. Hope you have all been well, since the dam covid arrived.
Welcome Back John, good to see you are well and rested.. Shame first video back you have camera issues. Look forward to seeing many more videos from you over the next few months and seeing the conclusion of the TMNT restore.
When we needed John the most, he came back for us.
Wish he stayed a little longer before leaving to go buy cigarettes
John’s back in the basement. All is Right in the World.
Nature is returning
Gaia is healing.
Don't worry.. he disappeared for another 2+ yrs without a word as of today.
And now he left. 😮
Glad to see that you're back, John. This makes 2020 at least a little bit less awful. :)
I spent the first two minutes of this video expecting John to jump out of that box like it was our birthday. Welcome back JOHN!!!!
It's official: John saved 2020!
So good to see you back mate, it’s like an old friend has returned.
So glad you’re back! IMO you have done so much for this hobby! You have inspired me to collect and restore games, and has become one of my favorite things to do. Please keep them coming!

I was just at Pinball Expo 2022, met quite a few John's Arcade fans down there.....
Welcome back dude! You’ve been my arcade inspiration as a build out my set. Maybe 2020 will end up ok in the end.
Good nail biting stretch on Donkey Kong. I forgot how hard it was. Looking forward to more of your videos. Welcome back.
The new popcorn machine unboxing says it all.
do you know the model of this one or brand ? Thanks.
Sort of thought the new popcorn machine was a big F-U to the haters of the old poor broken down one. He aggressively opened it. Lol. Then came to find out a viewer had donated it to him and was a much more wholesome moment after that. :)

"So, Franz....sorry man." Sheesh.
We welcome you back with open arms John! So glad that you are back!👍🏻
JOHN! Welcome back! We did a (obviously distanced) group watch with the local arcade community. You looked great on the big screen :D. Cheers from Stuttgart, Germany!
In Stuttgart haben wir so etwas? :-)
ThePeacemaker123 Logo! Wenn du magst folge der Meetup Gruppe für alle weiteren Infos ;)!
Don't feel pressured to make extravagant videos. Just play the games, and hang out.
Welcome back brother. You're literally the only channel I'm subscribed to. You come back and instantly informed me about that barcade in "Wooster" lol. Great stuff. Don't lose the spirit!
Never thought I’d hear the arcade again. Crazy how time flies 👍
Having you back is inspiring me to get back into restoring arcade machines. I’ve been out for a bit too!
For anyone wondering, The Galloping Ghost Arcade in Brookfield IL, IS OPEN!!! Not even Covid-19 can stop the power of 750+ Arcade machines under 1 roof.
Hey John! I just started following you this year and its great to see you back!!

Thank you for allowing us all back into the basement once again, we missed all the wonderful sights & sounds. Glad to have you back John!
I thought for sure you were gonna pop out of that box! It’s Good to have you back John!

Hey John! Glad to see you still have all the cabs. I've been working on my candy cabs lately. Welcome back.
Can't blame you for wanting to take a break, John. It’s like COVID-19 never happened. Glad to see you’re back even it’s infrequently.
This is the most savage unboxing I've ever seen. Who hurt you ?

The tripod didn't break; the camera broke.
@@Okurkaarrgghh My bad, "tripod mount on the bottom of my camera."

Back to doing what you do best. Welcome back. I’ve seen too many classic arcades go out of business in 2020. This helps out some. Thank you.
Thanks for the new video dude! You inspired me to build my own 4 player arcade cabinet! I'll send some pics! It has a retro pie setup with over 6000 games!
A replacement popcorn machine, it's been a long time coming! So glad to see you back in the basement! :)
