Thank you for watching this video! We are having a big push trying to get the subs up for the channel, please consider liking and subscribing and I am sure I will see you on another video!!👍👍❤✔
I never would have thought to try this.... I really want to try it and also want to never do this both at the same time!!! Glitter is just evil and never ever leaves! It does look really, really cool though! Thank you to the Chief Engineer for taking one for the entire RC community with this one!!!! He will be forever glittery!
Thank you I enjoyed doing this and it turned out better than expected, the glue worked well and with the lacquer the shell is solid. It will be a while till I use glitter again though 😂
Next time, spray a medium to thick coat of clear lacquer on it, put the glitter in your hands and blow it at the body. I use it on guitars. You can do as many coats as needed. Then a few more coats of clear over it and you’ll have a deep bass boat flake finish that’s smooth
It did look great, but it was not hard wearing at all, I think a couple of coats of lacquer should have been used, but that might have flattened the glitter 🤔👍
Wow! That is a great idea although I had doubts when the Chief Engineer was painting the glue on the body! Touch up jobs after rolls should be easy too! I can see Mini OAG wanting to do this with her Lunchbox now! Only problem with glitter is it never seems to leave…. Awesome video chaps 🙌🏻👍🏻
The next day your eating dinner with a spoon and glitter on it , after watching the mod’s I want to mod mine and the Gary glitter job very good ,something different 🤩👊🏻👍🏻
It came out really well! Not nearly as "glittery" as I thought it would be, more like a carbon, charcoal kind of look, with a sparkle of course! Loving the red stickers on the tyres, too, nice touch! The blue steering rods were very noticable, ha ha, but not when it was out for the run, so let's just forget about those... I see you got plenty Lunchbox vids, I think I watch one more!
I would say a more corse glitter was needed to hit the light and be all sparkly and stuff. Interesting fact, this LB has been stripped again, and is no longer glittery so we have plenary more Lunchbox videos for the future 😆😂👍
Hi guys, great job the Chief executed on his Lunchbox shell 👍 I opted for a different version of this glitter job. I painted my Mad Bull shell in Red Hammerite paint and then sprinkled the glitter on top. Just as messy but it looks fanbloodytastic in the light 👍 A job well done 😎
On reflection I did think the jump cut to the Cheif Engineer as Freddy was a little too keen, I can say his daughter does not look like Freddy Mercury, I don’t think she would suit a moustache 🥸😂👍
Nothing wrong with bling & it looks really good! Although probably taking too much effort for a body that may get scratched, I bet you could do some really nice effects with nail powder that you rub onto colour base coat before clear lacquering...with paint of course rather than nail polish 💅
Imagine how many of those little bottles of nail polish you would need for something of this size, but it would make it tough, that’s why it was good to use with conkers! But yes it has turned out looking tip top 👍😆💅
I love Metal flakes or Glitter, i usually paint Bike parts with it. I take the paint that i want it to have, black in your case, -paint it -take your metal flakes or glitter and pour it over the wet paint -you need a spraycan clear coat now ca.500ml or more -add clearcoat layer, after ca. 3min the next layer and so on until you have a plane look (it will take time and many many layers) Drytime in the summer ca 3days under 15°C ca. 4 to 5days I promise you it will look awesome like from a paint shop
Wow I’d imagine that would have a real deep shine to it and look really good, and would give it depth. In honesty this didn’t really pop in the way we thought, method and glitter might not have been the best for the job. If we were to do it again I’d really try the method you mentioned as that seems to be a winner, I’d also use a slightly larger flake, and maybe not black 😆🤔👍
Oh wow I'm pretty sure I've never seen anyone do that before! Looks great in a 70s disco sort of way. Does the glitter fall off when it rolls over? I guess that because you based it on a black shell you won't notice too much. Anyway I probably won't try that with a body shell but those alu upgrades looks great and actually practical for extra strength. Great stuff guys. Is the Lunchbox called Gary?
I think with the amount of top coat the Cheif Engineer added it’s almost welded on! I have some similar upgrades for my lunchbox but I’ve not gone for a shiny red look. I think it’s a solid member of the glitter band ✨👍
@@RCsoandso Thank you for getting back! I just picked up a Lunchy, was the dream machine of my youth, looks like you are getting good speed and performance from the NIMH, good enough for my reflexes, lol. Cheers

How does it run/feel compared to your other lunchboxes with those aluminium parts? I have a work in progress SW-01 mini lunch box which I’ve gone overboard with hop ups on…. Yeah racing makes some good pieces for the SW01 like wheelie bar, but Hot Racing make some really good chassis pieces. I accidentally broke my plastic chassis whilst building it so instead of getting a replacement Tamiya parts tree with the same weakness (ok it was a fair bit of user error) I decided I’d get some Hot racing chassis pieces. Unfortunately Hot racing pieces can’t be sent to Australia so I had my first remailer experience to get them sent over. Its possible by using a few generic pieces to make an entirely metal SW01 👀 if that’s your thing. I’ve upgraded the motor to accomodate for the extra weight.
I was looking at a metal chassis for the lunchbox you can get, it could be overkill but it would make it battle proof. The upgrades give it a tighter feeling, as well as more confidence. I’d always try having a weak point so if something would break it would be a cheaper part with luck. Importing is touch and go, I got stung from something I ordered from Euro RC with import duty, which meant it cost more than if I bought it in the UK so I will not be using them again 👍
I got my parts (which are similar to the ones here) from RC Mart. If you look for Jaz Rider or GPM parts you should be good. Yes they come from around China, postage is a bit of a pain so I tend to order a few things at once, but they go turn up quick 👍
