Sugar Sheets are taking the cake world by STORM and now you can take it to a whole NEW LEVEL!
In this Step by Step Tutorial I show you how to turn a basic sugar sheet into this beautiful `Damask` Pattern.
I have always wanted to create this pattern with a sparkly effect, but with how its applied to a cake it was impossible until now, even if i used edible glitter it would have ended up all over the white background.
Sugar sheets have allowed me to add this to a cake, the silicone mould used allows you to create a flawless effect on any even sized cake and it allows you to have that edible SPARKLE !
PERFECT for any celebration cake, including Birthdays and Weddings

Hi Rachel. Nice tutorial here. I want to make this design for my next wedding cake project and it's going to be a five tier altogether. (12", 9"*3, 6"). How you think it's attainable? And did you apply glue to the fondant or the sugar sheet to attach the design. Also what can I use in place of edible glue, as it is very expensive here in Zambia. Happy 2023 from Zambian
Hi there, I hope your having a great start to the New Year, to answer a few questions firstly as long as the cakes are an even size and 4 inches deep then the pattern will fit (your measurements do need to be perfect though)
For homemade edible glue mix a small amount of Tylo powder with some cooled down boiled water.
I would also recommend practicing on a rolled out piece of fondant first, if you have never done this before it's best to practice so you don't make any mistakes when your under pressure to get the wedding cake completed.
I hope that information helps, warmest wishes
Rachels enchanting cakes
Never try it b4 my question is, how long will the sugar sheet stay on the cake.
What tipe of sugar are you using pliss?
Can these sugar sheets be used on butter cream or fresh cream frosting??
They could BUT would be more difficult to work with unless your using the rolled out sugar sheet or ones made using the simpress molds
@@RachelsEnchantingCakes so what did u put it on was that on fondant ??
Can this be done on a buttercream cake?
It would be very difficult but possible, your buttercreamed cake would need to be refrigerated after each sheet was applied and you would need to work fast as to prevent damaging the smooth buttercream surface x
It looks very hard... It takes a lot of time... This cake should be expensive if sold... Its do pretty snd unique
Struggle in places where that cake is perfect
Molto elegante, ma che ammasso pesante da mangiare!!
Rachel, Can I use this video and add it to my list of techniques for my bakers at heartofbaking.com? Please.
