Turbo charged 4 cylinder engines won't last as long as a naturally aspirated 6 cylinder engine. That's why I bought a 2024 Frontier and couldn't be happier.

Owning a 2024 Frontier has proven to be a very positive experience.Steering is a dream with the truck handling like a Subaru.Towing capacity is fine for most people and beyond 6800 lbs buy a full size turbo charged Chev.Seems most other turbo charged mid sized trucks are having huge recall issues with turbo engine failures.Along with the same issues of clunky Chev GM transmissions and the problems associated, still with the 8 cylinder variable fuel saving cylinder deactivation.Been an issue since it came out 15 hears ago.Nissan Frontier 9 speed tranny is a dream.Smooth no clunks. The 6 cylinder engine smooth , no noisy Chev lifters at start up just power when you need it.Interior is well thought out, solid and functional.Buy a sedan if you want plush.I wanted a truck.Sorry bud but your analysis is way off .So much so I have to think this was promoted by Toyota whose Tacoma has tanked.

      I agree.

Nissan increased the towing rating for the 2025 Frontier but made no changes to the power train or frame/suspension. I would assume that means that 2022-2024s are under rated. And TFL showed that Ford and Tacos trans over heated when towing at rated load while the Frontier did not. I agree if you need a truck for towing, why would you buy mid size?

    5. The Interior is perfect, I hate too much tech, I prefer three knobs for the climate control. 4. Towing, Ford overstates their towing numbers, I wouldn’t tow anymore than 5000lbs with a midsize. 3. Interior size, it’s not a full size truck. 2. Resale, better than Ford, not as good as Toyota but they are more expensive off the get go. 1. Price, all the truck prices are out of control, Nissan offers the best value.

TFL has proven that the Taco and Ford trans overheat when towing at the rated value while Frontiers do not. There is no well established standard on how manufacturers rate for towing.

      @@clarkkent9080 What about SAE J2807

    • @clarkkent9080
      @clarkkent9080 19 днів тому

@@dougsmith7195 TFL tested every mid and full size truck on the exact grade with exactly the same environmental conditions. SAE J2807 does not specify every environmental condition. Every truck TFL tested performed differently in reaching maximum engine oil temperature, transmission temperature and coolant temperature. Ford owner manuals specify a 2% decrease in towing weight for every 1k elevation. If you live in Colorado, that Ford ranger 7,500 lb rating drops to 6,480 lb.
The Nissan Frontier two rating increased by 500 lb from 2024 to 2025. You can review every bit of available data and even though it increased 500lb, there were NO suspension, braking, cooling, engine or transmission changes. Manufacturers do have to comply with SAE J2807 but can under rate to maintain longevity or over rate to decrease longevity.

Sounds like a Toyota video trying to sway buyers from the Nissan. Just cause the new Toyotas are garbage...all the other trucks they mentioned are double in price...I'll still choose Nissan over any ford, gm ot Toyota

The new Taco has been proven to have many problem areas and they are mechanical not based on the opinion of styling. Turbo in a truck will definitely reduce the life span and reliability. I agree that this is a Toyota hit piece.

Jajaaaaaaaa Nissan have issues with the steering, space and other things like that. But colorado tacoma ranger have issues with transmision, engine, and electronic thanks for NISSAN frontier

Did you make a mistake in the video? According to your Info, the Nissan tows 6690, yet you said the Tacoma was marginally superior with a towing capacity 6500. That's still less.

Out dated interior - that's just crazy - it's a beautiful interior. And the Steering is just right, feels like a solid truck. Where do these reviewers come from?

Its a truck what kind of steering are they expecting like a fricking compact?

@@flipflop2221 The steering is heavier than others. Personally, I like it and it is just right at speed. Also, it is one of the few vehicles with old school reliable, hydraulic steering. No complex rack and pinion no feed back electric steering.

Not liking the style or materials is NOT a problem, it is an opinion. Compare the Frontier interior to the much much higher priced Taco with plastics that FisherPrice would not use for their toys. The Frontier, even in the new generation, is and evolution and without any problems like the new Taco. This channel is def a hit piece sponsored by a competitor.

I test drove one, hardly could move and had terrible steering. And that is saying something as we drive a Grenadier 😂 I knew it was outclassed but was not seeking a great truck for off road, just a work truck. But it was just too out classed to swallow.

Wow, this must be a group bash session sponsored by Toyota, Jeep, Ford, and Stilantis. Chevrolet must not have pitched in any $ for this. Picky picky, not one mention on reliability. And (everything) else has turbos, they should at least offer a naturally aspirated V6 in that size vehicle.

I’ll take Frontier over my 2019 F 150 3.5. Been in shop more times transmission. Drive shaft not bolted back properly. Then master brake cylinder and line had a leak cause dumb ass tech didn’t move it back off steering column rubbed hole in line. Then can phasers all replaces at 125k Idk. I’ve own Toyota most all my adult life. Had 2 Datsun nissan in 80’s best reliability Toyota has messed up trucks with turbo small engines. Tundra I had got 11.3 mpg 4 door 4WD 2015 nn35” tires lifted 2 1/2” leveled Love it but gas mileage cost me a fortune. So I’ll buy a frontier in couple years or wait till 2027 Scout Traveler comes out made in SC. EV/engine generator 500 mile range 1000 hp. So idk waiting till 2027. But I will not keep ford 150 at 140k miles I’ll have to buy extended warranty costing $3k. Can’t keep unless I have warranty too much to go wrong. Plus turbo will go out before 200k. I will not buy another turbo charge engine either
