    Suzuki could save there brand if they would just bring back the 2-stroke!!!!! They would sell like hot cakes !

    Suzuki is missing an opportunity. Sure they saw 4 strokes were the future and is one of the big 4 to agree with ceizing the 2 strokes, Now its biting their ass. Honda, Kawasaki, Yahama innovate their bikes while suzuki stays stagnant winless and Championship less in these modern times. They could of produced two strokes just like Yamaha but they doubled down into their doom.
    The Last ever Two Stroke to win a Championship and until 2008 they stopped production of the old premier classes.

      This is so well said dude! Imagine if they just kept producing the RM, people would eat it up. They probably would have seen a little dip in sales but then it would have ramped back up. Now there is essentially zero money towards R&D. Shit if I were them, resurrect the 2008 RM250 and watch it sell out in minutes.

      Championship less compared to Honda? Until 2023, the CRF450R has never won a single AMA title indoors, ever...Hondas last premiere class supercross title was in 2003 with RC on the CR250R...Chase is the first to win on it. The 450s only title outdoors was with RC in 2004, until Jett in 2023 which was nearly a 20 year gap. Suzuki has won a lot since Honda has, including 450 titles with RC (multiple), Chad Reed outdoors, Ryan Dungey indoors and out, and Ken Roczen outdoors being it's last...Which was like 8 years ago...

    Have 2006 rm 250..the brakes especially the front are not good..does any one have the fix?

    I’ve owned one from new and it’s the best motocross bike I’ve ever owned. I’ll never sell it.

    Not much that we are given now is really any better than what we had already. Been riding in the dirt since 82. Backroom deals between big 4 and US govt essentially killed two strokes. 10 year moratorium was proposed with a ban of bikes being held over them. Thank the insurance companies who lobbied Congress for that.

      Damn it's brutal eh? Was the ban because of the two stroke emissions? Or just dirt bikes in general?

      @@GregHitchko It goes back to the trikes and lawsuits. People were being maimed by 250+ race machines at a pretty good rate in the late 80s early 90s. Think Quadzilla + a fresh green noob. Govt basically said either tone them down or we'll ban them like we did the trikes. Manufacturers gonna manufacturer, so since the 2 strokes were taking all the heat they started work on the 4 strokes. Pretty sad really. I can't hardly imagine what Honda would have come up with in terms of a 2T engine had they kept trying. I can't overstress what a shock the performance machines were to the population. They were awesome (and cheap! >> accessable) and we didn't know better. Some of us were able to cope. Many went to hospital. Emissions usually take the blame but there is much more to it. Yamaha is the most recent to flirt with govt intervention when they introduced the Rhino 660s. So many goofballs rolled them over and got hurt they ended up in court. Polaris thanks them for having to fight the main battle.

    Did u ever fix the the front brake issues? If so what did u do I have the same model love it but brakes really sukk and I am looking for solutions..thank you for shootout comparison !.

      Apparently honda master cylinder. Haven't done it yet

    It was a carbon copy of the 2004 YZ250 Chad won on....From engine design and chassis, while maintaining that cornering ability Suzuki was known for.

    Not stock bikes to test...not a fair test...Suzuki had different carb, head, pipe...

      Check out the actual shootout video I did. I standardized the pipes, heads, carbs, pistons, etc. This was a highlight on just the Suzuki. Cheers

    I have a low hours 07' Rm 250 ex-race bike and very low hours 08' Rm 250 all oem.. they are awesome..

      @@GregHitchko cheers man, yeah they are awesome.. i have a 93' Cr 250.. that i use for vinduro.. thats a pretty sick bike as well.. mildly ported, crf250 front end, brembo brakes, JMS revalved resprung rear.. great bike.. really love it but wow man .. those Rm's .. Suzuki really got it right those last few years..! just a shame its hard to get some parts for them? i priced a new subframe and swingarm awhile back and they are not available?

      @@jacoblatour6192 I used a Brembo master cylinder, swapped out the 93' Nissan one ... And used a braided hydraulic line as well...
      I have a 06 CRF 250 front end ...
      And kept the Nissan brake caliper...
      The master cylinder and brake line was off a 2016 KTM ...
      They bolt straight on pretty easy to the Nissan calipers ...
      The CRF units work okay but the master cylinder was slightly damaged from the previous owner when I bought the front end for the CRF conversion to my 93' Cr..
      So I had some spare KTM parts lying around in the shed... And used them to save some money...
      The later model Brembo master cylinder units and braided lines are a good upgrade for older bikes. gives them better feel ...
      I have Brembo on my 88'kdx as well...
