When you and Andrew are finally able to open up shop, you might consider having a succulents area like your mother fell in love with. Succulents are easy to propagate, aren't too fussy if you don't over water them and would make use of the random orphan/chippy cups, planters, colanders in the shop.
I love that your children also have collections. My adult daughter got into thrifting with me, and now she spends big bucks on vintage Nancy Drew, Trixie Belden and Dana Girls... and just dropped a lot of money on a vintage rare Dana Girls game. Of course she found a group on FB to join, but that she finds joy in collecting, makes me so happy. She works very hard for her money as a geologist, and is in Australia (so I get the things she buys and she picks them up when she visits!). BUT, she's helping preserve the history, and it makes her so happy (also her dad threatens to resell things like the game! You can hear her scream NO all the way from Australia!)
Kitty Mervine I love shopping thrift and antiques with my adult daughter, too, we have such a good time! She collects vintage clothing and jewelry, wears it all the time! Wish I could carry off that look!
Hi J! I bought the Nippon vase today. It is cracked, but, I’m not reselling and happy to add it to my collection. Thank you for taking us on your shopping trips. We can’t thrift and treasure hunt yet in Jersey. It was worth the 2 hour drive.Enjoy the holiday weekend!
I really like the way you acknowledge that the vendors price as being fair, just not for reselling. I stopped watching a certain utuber because he went to an estate sale and complained the whole time about the prices. He actually made jokes about how expensive they were. I won't watch him anymore. So thanks for being so respectful!!
thank you for posting. such fun for me since i can't get out. i appreciate that you explain "too much" for resale, but "a good price" for collectors. very helpful if i ever get to go shopping. i'm not a reseller, just like pretty things.
The vase you picked up, at around 4:44, was an identical vase that Real Nifty Vintage had in one of his recent videos, and just sold on Ebay. I had to rewind your video for a double look. I love your videos, you've made me aware of so many other vintage items to appreciate. Thank you. I've missed your shopping videos. I love watching you and Drew.
I like this format of walking around describing the items and referring to the prices and whether there’s a profit in it for you, very interesting. You mentioned Antique Nomad, he is very knowledgable and walks around malls too., discovered him recently.
This was lovely once again Joce. I think this method of video is very nice and much more interesting. The pace is so relaxed and we get to see more of what you are looking at. I like this style a lot and hope you continue it. I love this store, and am glad it has opened for business, so you can purchase new things to sell. Thanks for sharing with us your fun and adventures. Have a God blessed day!
Loved the way you did the vlog and would love to see more like it, even when things go back to normal. I like it when you're on your own, taking your time, chatting to us as you go. So interesting hearing about the different ways you can tell what things are and you have the calmest voice ever! Fab vlog. Ta so much Xx
Those blue/green lamps you liked but cost $128 are the same lamps I found about 15 years ago at Red White and Blue thrift. They were $10 each! At the time $20 was a lot of money to me but I had to have them! So pretty!
I love George at the Antique Nomad. His knowledge is incredible. Iove listening to you and Sue as well. I have learned so much. I can't wait to see what you do with your store.
Thanks so much for this video! I’ve never seen so many beautiful glass items in one place! I hope you are able to make another video there next week. Loving the shopping experience...next best thing to actually being there! 🤗
I'm watching a series on Acorn TV that takes place in 1953 and there is a radio just like the big one on the top shelf where you looked at the tall vases with the dots. Love those old radios ❤💚💜💙💛
🌷 Happy Spring🌷 This is great.....to shop along with you ! My favourite ..... Vintage Shops ! 👍🏻 Thank you for taking is along.....so fun ! Take Care .... You do a an awesome job ! 🙋🏼 🇨🇦
Great trip to the mall! Enjoyed seeing how each dealer displays their pieces. And laughed about Juliette loving pickled beets. She is a true quirky girl!
I'm in love with the aqua/turquoise glass right now. I only have a small moon and stars compote right now though. There were so many pieces in that store, excuse me while I wipe the drool from my chin. Lol
Another wonderful video I love the little wine decanter and glasses you are such a wonderful mother you're always thinking of your children when you see something they would like Thank you for the video it perked up my day
This store is the best. I want to shop there too! I love that they added essentials in order to be open. Smart business! I had to laugh: your music and chatter made the music unintelligible, which is great. It made it sound like people just yelling and screaming in a back room! 😂🤣😂. TFS!
An antique store with a succulent booth? Yes, please!! There are two thrift stores in my area that sell my succulent arrangements in repurposed items that I make into planters. With their profits they help people with vocational training, mentoring and financial support. I’m looking forward to shopping there again soon! 🥰
Tiffany Burandt a lot of people haven’t even heard of them, they’re missing out. I made them for Christmas dinner as something different from Thanksgivings meal....so yummy!
I’m going to try to find a happy balance. Sometimes it’s hard because I’m not used to filming in this format and it requires a very steady filming technique to keep people from getting dizzy.
I LOVE that Enamelware, and those Floral Canisters at 10:24! I've been looking for those Canisters. I love Antique Stores, and usually go on Vacation to Asheville, NC at least once a year and go to the Antique Stores...I sure hope to get to go soon! Love the video.
I just watched yesterday’s video (I’m a little behind sorry) Just want yo thank you for the shopping experience. You ROCK!!! You’re soooo right about craving the experience :D Have an awesome day! You’re so appreciated
As it is, I work a part time job to support my antique shopping. Lol. If I lived in PA, i would never get a day off! Lol. What wonderful antiques! I'm glad you're here to help me find things!💗T.y.. P.S. my daughter also loves pickled beets. Lol.
Thank you, thank you. I've been going so stir crazy! I can't get out and don't know when I'll be able to. Looking forward to seeing the next flea market video.
Thank you for taking us with you shopping! There are so many nice things to look at 💜 I can't wait until it's safe to go thrifting again. Love your videos!! ❤
I have very much enjoyed how you included us in your shopping trip in these 2 videos. Thanks Jocelyn 😊 I also wanted to tell you about the doll in the yellow party dress. I'm pretty sure she is a Miss Revlon doll from the late 50s to early 60s and was quite popular until the Barbies came out. I totally love your channels. Keep them coming. 💜
Were the candle drip lamps $178 each? I found one at the Goodwill for $8.99 and found some selling for as much as $200 each!!! I about died when I saw those! I held on to mine and plan to get a fiberglass lampshade! Your videos are the best!!
I love succulents too....I've killed every single one I've tried. :( Bought several small vintage planters about 6 months ago just for that purpose. After killing my third group of plants, I've given up on succulents. So sad..... As a totally off subject comment.....I just adore your new hair cut and the more natural color. It looks fabulous.
Thank you for showing the booths. Our malls will open soon but this was a nice way to see booth set up as I am working towards a booth in a mall this summer.
I’ve been wanting to see if there are any great sales going on in my favorite antique mall but haven’t gotten up the courage to go check yet. Thanks for taking us along. It surprisingly seems like there weren’t many deals to be had in yours. 🐳
Southern Mermaid - Most dealers are mentally stuck int the 90's...those prices are dead and gone! Just wait a while longer - the fire sales will soon begin!
Thank you for the great shopping experience Jocelyn, I have been antsy cuz I can't go to the thrift stores here yet. love succulents, I have hens and chicks everywhere in my yard. They are hard to kill and they multiply pretty quickly when you put them in a pot.🌻🐝
I spoke with the owner today about the video and mentioned the music. I hadn’t realized how loud it was until I was editing. She said there would be no problem turning the music down the next time I visit. ☺️
I was bidding on eBay on a ewer when I looked up at the TV and you were holding it in your hand I thought that was funny I also one it I absolutely love you and your family God bless
Pearl China Co., East Liverpool, Ohio, famous for their “Mammy” & “Cooky” gold trimmed cookie jars. Also teamed up with Homer Laughlin to distribute HL patterns back stamped with gold Pearl logo.
The trick to keeping succulents alive is resist the urge to water! They are designed to go through dry spells and over watering is the number one way to kill them - learned from experience LOL!
Really enjoyed this shopping spree except when I see something I'd like a closer look at, at it's"like wait wait, go back I want to see that!" Hopefully our resale opens soon, will suggest them getting baked goods from the grocery store so they can be essential 😆
Good luck with your succulents. I can kill plastic plants. On the other hand my sister has plants she got in a dish garden when her oldest son was born in 1977. 😊 By the way, I like your hair that color.

YAY! So happy it found a new home. It was so pretty.

From a COVID-19 positive, isolated, thrift-deprived viewer, another thank you for the shopping experience. I love seeing what's on the shelves!
TY for this AWESOME shopping experience!! These are my fav of yours & it sure helped me not feel so caged in!
thank you for posting. such fun for me since i can't get out. i appreciate that you explain "too much" for resale, but "a good price" for collectors. very helpful if i ever get to go shopping. i'm not a reseller, just like pretty things.
Lisa Stidham - Just wait awhile...prices will plummet!
The vase you picked up, at around 4:44, was an identical vase that Real Nifty Vintage had in one of his recent videos, and just sold on Ebay. I had to rewind your video for a double look. Thank you soooo much for taping this as the "shopping experience" so many of us are missing!!😍🌷
I like this format of walking around describing the items and referring to the prices and whether there’s a profit in it for you, very interesting.

Good Morning Jocelyn so looking forward to this video! Please please please please stay safe!
Love your videos. Find it humorous that loud talkers seem to follow you around like moths to a flame.
Thank you so much for taking us shopping. It’s honestly bringing me so much joy in these hard times. You’re appreciated
11:34 THAT HORSE! 😍
Water on Sundays. Lol. And not too much with succulents! Thanks for the shopping trip. 👍💖❤️

Those green lamps were gorgeous!

I like the goose serving bed tray that was next to the silver overlay. My favorite was the frog planter.
Another great video. Thank you for taking us shopping and letting us see so many treasures.
I have been watching your videos almost nonstop during the quarantine, and it has totally helped with my shopping addiction!! So thankful for you!!
Thank you for another great video!!
I can't wait to see you & Sue out again. Thanks for the video.
I love George at the Antique Nomad. His knowledge is incredible. Iove listening to you and Sue as well. I have learned so much. I can't wait to see what you do with your store.
Thank you for the enhanced shopping video. It is interesting and informative for me to see what you select and what you leave behind.
The donkey with cart next to the frog!😍
Isn’t it neat?!
Debra Loven looked Italian to me
I love shopping and vintage but I love cake the most! They looked yum!
Glad to hear a mention George of The Antique Nomad. He is a wealth of knowledge.
So many beautiful stuff.
Thanks so much for this video! I’ve never seen so many beautiful glass items in one place! I hope you are able to make another video there next week. Loving the shopping experience...next best thing to actually being there! 🤗

Enjoyed your video! Thank you!
The large wooden horse took my breath away....
This store is the best. I want to shop there too! I love that they added essentials in order to be open. Smart business! I had to laugh: your music and chatter made the music unintelligible, which is great. It made it sound like people just yelling and screaming in a back room! 😂🤣😂. TFS!
I had to play with the audio to avoid a strike, so it came out garbled in some spots and like I was in a fish tank! Haha.
Crazy Lamp Lady I understand. It was a fun video! 👍🏼😁
Your hair looks great! Love your channel. Stay safe!

My mom just made pickled beets a couple days ago! Love to hear that Juliet likes them too!
Tiffany Burandt a lot of people haven’t even heard of them, they’re missing out. I made them for Christmas dinner as something different from Thanksgivings meal....so yummy!

I love that place! Found my Kit Cat Clock there in December 2019 that I had been looking for since I started picking, almost 7 years!
I like this type of shopping videos alot. Thank you.
As it is, I work a part time job to support my antique shopping. Lol. If I lived in PA, i would never get a day off! Lol. What wonderful antiques! I'm glad you're here to help me find things!💗T.y.. P.S. my daughter also loves pickled beets. Lol.
Very nice store! Great pieces.
I have the green and brown pot you looked at. It is a jaridinner and should have the pedestal it sat on to be complete.
Thank you, thank you. I've been going so stir crazy! I can't get out and don't know when I'll be able to. Looking forward to seeing the next flea market video.
Thank you for taking us with you shopping!

Oh my gosh, I just love those old radios. I wish you would have took a closer look at those for us. They are fantastic.
I feel like I am walking along with you. Next best thing to being there.
Thank you for sharing your shopping with us!
also a note, when my friend was doing pottery, she would make spaghetti using a garlic press. It makes spaghetti!
Ah you have to go back for that little tiny squirrel figurine at 15.03. I collect squirrels, squirrel plates and planters. Fun!
Those lamps!! Thanks for letting us shop along. Not sure when MA. will open Thrift & or Antique Stores :(
Thanks for taking me shopping! Feels almost normal😉
Juliette has great taste. I love picked beets too.
I’ve been wanting to see if there are any great sales going on in my favorite antique mall but haven’t gotten up the courage to go check yet. Thanks for taking us along. It surprisingly seems like there weren’t many deals to be had in yours. 🐳

OMG!!!....GO GET SILVER OVERLAY.....I want it!
Haha. If it’s there when I go back, it was meant to be. ☺️
You showed so much restraint for not having bad a proper shopping trip in so long.
Thank you for the great shopping experience Jocelyn, I have been antsy cuz I can't go to the thrift stores here yet. love succulents, I have hens and chicks everywhere in my yard. They are hard to kill and they multiply pretty quickly when you put them in a pot.🌻🐝
Jocelyn, what mascara were you wearing!? Your lashes were long and gorgeous 😍
I was thinking the same thing!! Her lashes are so long and full.
Too bad these stores play their music in the background. I like that you made it silent and voiced over it.
Me too! So good!
I spoke with the owner today about the video and mentioned the music. I hadn’t realized how loud it was until I was editing. She said there would be no problem turning the music down the next time I visit. ☺️
Worse is the other customers pontificating in far too loud voices
I was bidding on eBay on a ewer when I looked up at the TV and you were holding it in your hand I thought that was funny I also one it I absolutely love you and your family God bless
I didn't win but I'm winning
25 for the silver set was a really great price!!

That $300 wood owl was EPIC! Please find me a blue fairy light!
So EPIC! I’m always on the hunt for fairy lamps.
Good luck with your succulents. I can kill plastic plants. On the other hand my sister has plants she got in a dish garden when her oldest son was born in 1977. 😊
By the way, I like your hair that color.
I grew up on pickled beets, eggs, and onions, together.
I want that cat!
I actually own that crewel picture you just picked up. I sewed it.
That’s awesome!
Thanks for the videos!
Thank you for the feast for my eyes.
Loved the video!!
Hey, how much was that blue horse on a basket at 19:49? That looked amazing!
Thank you for shopping for us missing it terribly but did you have to show the cake !? What flavour was it and do they deliver.👍😍🎂
I want the pheasant feathers for fly tying how much for all of them
