There is no specific size or number for the o-rings. You probably have to go to the dealership to get the replacement o-rings for the small ones that are on the canister for the filter. I'll see if I can find the part numbers though and post it here.
@@moosemobileautorepair I was using 5w40 but recently I my last oils change I put 5w30 Castrol should I go back with 5w40 I have a 2014 Jetta SE 1.8 turbo with 166,765 miles on it ever 5k I do the oil change
Yes. You should go back to using 5W40. Make sure that oil has the VW specifications on the back of the jug 502/505. With these engines if you want to keep these vehicles for a long time I'd also change the oil a lot sooner than 5 k miles due to them having a turbocharger and gasoline direct injection.
Really the best Jetta oil change video on UA-cam. So thorough and helpful! I feel confident to change it myself now. Thank you!
Thanks I appreciate that. I'm glad I could help. You can do it!

What filter did you use??
I used the Pro Series oil filter here in Canada from Part Source. I believe it is rebranded and originally made by Champion Labs.
What size is the replacement o ring?

Castrol edge 5w30 from 5w40 my states is really hot what you recommend to used
5W40 works better for hotter climates. Only 5W30 or 5W40 should be used in these VW engines.
