I bought a 2008 Chrysler 300c for £6000 that barely had any milage. I've had quite a bit of attention with it from a lot of people who don't realise it's actually a reasonably cheap car. In fact it was parked on the street near my Dads 2018 Mercedes Amg Coupe and got more attention than that :p I do hate it when people ask how much it cost and they realise I'm not actually rich haha. I would say it's the ultimate cheap car that makes you look rich in the UK. I just spotted it at 3:45. Mine is a blacked out one like that ;)
S Almanza haha I dunno man, that Merc is probs the most luxurious car on the list! But yeah that little bit is added in because it's something people specifically search for a fair amount 🤙🏽
Done many miles in that A6, it's a nice car and the CVT really works well with the engine as long as you don't push it. Avoid the S-line though, that suspension will completely destroy any feeling of luxury you'd think it has, it's meant to be sporty but still understeers like a dachshund and the engine/tranny combo is completely non-sporty. With standard suspension though, it's definitely a good choice. As a GS450h driver though, whoop whoop! I will say one thing though- the older GS450h does have issues with overheating batteries, by Lexus standards it's pretty unreliable. That's only by Lexus standards though, no other components will ever break. I bought a newer one because that issue is solved (and spec like the aircon having a moisturising setting...) but it's much too expensive for this list. P.S. I quite liked the Polo intro, was a nice USP.
I was thinking that an S-Line wouldn't be particularly luxury, but good to hear from you first hand! And regarding the GS450h I hoped you'd be please haha! But yeah good to know as well that there is some kind of issue with the car maintenance-wise and it's not just a solid block of reliability... thanks for the feedback, I'll see what the overall view is, maybe mix it up video-on-video 🤙🏽

You know what I'm going to say JB.. There's a number of jaguars that could be on this list mate, and one other omission that I bet you haven't even thought about. The jags are pretty obvious so I'll just mention one awesome car that is definitely available for under 10K and blows your whole list away.. 2004 - 2006 Maserati Quattroporte. There's a number available for under 10K most with well under 100K and I've not seen one yet that hasn't a full service history. Drives better, looks better, sounds better, faster, and eminently cooler than even the jags I would have on the list.. Running costs no higher than the RR, Beemer or Merc if taken to a specialist.
Didn't realise the Quattroporte went for under 10k/I didn't even look to check! I was certain a Maserati of that age would be in the 10s of thousands, so definitely a fair omission. Only reason i left out the Jags was because I include them so often! But so many that could fit this video for sure, almost too many to choose from
Cars With JB I've seen 3 quattroportes recently under 10k. I realised there's probably half a dozen jags that could have been on the list, which is why I mentioned the Maserati. One car I've never owned, but I've driven a couple and always put a smile on my face..

I've got a Rover 75, I'd say that's a cheap luxury car. They've got a bad reputation for being unreliable old man cars, but they're incredibly comfy, the interior is great and still looks good, and the 2.0 Diesel is actually very reliable. The seats are supremely comfortable, the ride is very smooth, and the driving position very low, which I like.
I've got a '99 classic in dark green. Fantastic car. The '99 models are fantastic quality in my experience, mine has 200k miles on it and hasn't had a single major or costly issue besides rust but that's just my neglect as I live in Finland, the land of paint chips and road salt. The hydraulic steering is fantastic, the ride is smooth and it still looks great
@@shroomyesc I think the best ones quality wise are generally said to be early Longbridge models due to slightly better rustproofing, but due to yours being '99 it likely be an Oxford model, but there's no denying that they're very good quality cars,and they remained good quality cars until they stopped making them. they just suffer from a poor reputation.
@@shroomyesc oh yeah absolutely. Biggest change was probably the real wood dash being changed to fake wood but they had a lot of other minor things cheapened after project drive. As for exterior tweaks project drive didn't change too much except the torpedo engine size badges and some other rover badges to my knowledge, the facelift came about a year after project drive but I do prefer the pre facelift cars, even though I have a facelift model.
I suggest you save enough amount of down payment and go for 1-5 years old car to make a loan. It will save you the maintenance fees especially like bmw and Mercedes which includes 5 years warranty

My dad has a Lexus LS400, an S-reg and it just keeps on going. It's a 4.0 V8, no turbo and 280bhp. It's a lovely old machine and seeing another Lexus on this list was oddly satisfying as a result.
It's pretty insane looking at the engines in each lexus, I feel like they must make their cars with the US market in mind, hence the size! But yeah can't leave the GS450h off this list, it's well worth it
I don't know where do you come from and what is your background but you appear to know beans about Off the Road Vehicles ... the Number 1 requirement of an Off the road Vehicle it its reliability and ease to repair...This Range Rover is to tool around town impressing those who are even mote idiotic ..KISS /Keep it simple stupid ... is the word for Off Roader .the more gadgets you have the more chance is them to go wrong. I have owned and driven cars all over the world except ANZ and South Americ ... the most demanding country on Cars is Iceland ...It is know as Car Killers ... the other Place is Norther Pakistan ...Believe you me this Range Rover has no chance ...I have lived and worked in both places. My favourites: Lada Niva ... and International Harvester ... with the feature to inflate and deflate tyres, individually and collectively from inside the car to suit the road surface. Now that is luxury ...However, Basic Land Rover is still the darling of Off Roaders ...NO, NO, NO this Range Rover ...NEVER ...
Definitely agree - this is a Chelsea tractor, not an off roader, but it'll still do better than the average VW Polo or whatever if you take it to some mud!

What do you mean the interior is nice for a bmw, they have some of the best interiors going. Sure they don’t look that exciting but you can’t deny the quality
Quality is always on point with the interiors on the bimmers, but yeah as you say they're not always the most interesting! Interior is quite important to me personally, e.g. One of my fav cars is the '04 Impreza STI but the interior is so dead it puts me off quite a bit
Cars With JB the newer BMW’s like the X5 and 3 series seem to be a massive step up. I have a 140i and I love it but the interior is really drab especially compared to MB rn

Sadly the diesels on the list won't really be desirable in London and I think in Birmingham in a few years as they are planning on setting up an emissions charge. Sadly have to sell my mk6.5 fiesta zetec s diesel but gives me the opportunity to get a mk6 fiesta ST
Yeah with diesels it's gunna be ridiculously tough in a lot of places over the next few years - even smaller cities like Bath might be getting emission zones! But either way, the cars are pretty decent for the money 🤙🏽

@@CarsWithJB After my C5 V6 became a bit expensive to run (17yo needed timing belt and brake fluid leakage a.o.) I decided to part with her. Looked at Phaetons. Point is that if you get a minter you can do your calculation on cost but if you buy a lemon all your money goes to the car, that isn't worth it to me. My first car was a Citoën ZX 1.4 I still got fond memories of that car. She took me to Belgium, Luxumburg, France, Switzerland and Italy. There was no luxury (no el. windows, ac and the rest) but she took me there and back home. I like French cars.

I would have replaced the Merc S with Merc E class BMW 7 with BMW 5 Series and removed Audi replaced with Jaguar XF in my list.
Fair enough! I just feel like the S is a more luxury car considering it's so tech-focussed, and I would have included an XF but I use Jag so often 🤙🏽

I don't know where do you come from and what is your background but you appear to know beans about Off the Road Vehicles ... the Number 1 requirement of an Off the road Vehicle it its reliability and ease to repair...This Range Rover is to tool around town impressing those who are even mote idiotic ..KISS /Keep it simple stupid ... is the word for Off Roader .the more gadgets you have the more chance is them to go wrong.
I have owned and driven cars all over the world except ANZ and South Americ ... the most demanding country on Cars is Iceland ...It is know as Car Killers ... the other Place is Norther Pakistan ...Believe you me this Range Rover has no chance ...I have lived and worked in both places. My favourites: Lada Niva ... and International Harvester ... with the feature to inflate and deflate tyres, individually and collectively from inside the car to suit the road surface. Now that is luxury ...However, Basic Land Rover is still the darling of Off Roaders ...NO, NO, NO this Range Rover ...NEVER ...
Definitely agree - this is a Chelsea tractor, not an off roader, but it'll still do better than the average VW Polo or whatever if you take it to some mud!

What do you mean the interior is nice for a bmw, they have some of the best interiors going. Sure they don’t look that exciting but you can’t deny the quality
Quality is always on point with the interiors on the bimmers, but yeah as you say they're not always the most interesting! Interior is quite important to me personally, e.g. One of my fav cars is the '04 Impreza STI but the interior is so dead it puts me off quite a bit
Cars With JB the newer BMW’s like the X5 and 3 series seem to be a massive step up. I have a 140i and I love it but the interior is really drab especially compared to MB rn

I'm surprised on the cars you've shown and what they are going for. Sadly the diesels on the list won't really be desirable in London and I think in Birmingham in a few years as they are planning on setting up an emissions charge. Sadly have to sell my mk6.5 fiesta zetec s diesel but gives me the opportunity to get a mk6 fiesta ST
Yeah with diesels it's gunna be ridiculously tough in a lot of places over the next few years - even smaller cities like Bath might be getting emission zones! But either way, the cars are pretty decent for the money 🤙🏽

@@CarsWithJB After my C5 V6 became a bit expensive to run (17yo needed timing belt and brake fluid leakage a.o.) I decided to part with her.
Looked at Phaetons. Point is that if you get a minter you can do your calculation on cost but if you buy a lemon all your money goes to the car, that isn't worth it to me.
My first car was a Citoën ZX 1.4 I still got fond memories of that car. She took me to Belgium, Luxumburg, France, Switzerland and Italy.
There was no luxury (no el. windows, ac and the rest) but she took me there and back home.
I like French cars.
