I think it depends how martial arts should be used. If it will be used to strengthen the body just like other forms of exercises, improve mental attributes like risk management skills, decision-making skills, creativity, resourcefulness, adaptability, etc., then it is okay. But if it will be used to intentionally hurt other people, or express your anger or aggression, then that's the time it becomes socially and spiritually immoral.
But bro.. today is about entertainment. To satisfy the bloodlust of people and some christian who said them self as manly. All about Money. No human dignity. Even, if they say "profesionalism". All the things you said, must be in military or something not for entertainment.
@@j.a.rathletics6883 brother, God hates all forms of violence, it’s one of the things he especially hates, it being televised and used for entertainment doesn’t only strip dignity from the fighter, it invigorates sin in bloodlust in the viewer.
Im a Christian, and also an Amateur MMA fighter. You can very well mix the two. Theres a documentary about that called Fight Church, and a movie called The Fight Within. Would highly recommend checking those out if you’re wondering about this.
I've just started watching some MMA and kickboxing recently. One thing I like to see are the athletes give a small prayer before the event. Some also have overtly Christian tattoos or decorations on their clothing. Aside from that, I also am very pleased at how the majority of athletes respect their competition and offer compliments, hugs, and praise, even to the one they just bested! That said, I have also seen MMA matches so brutal (repeated fist hammering to the face, blood flowing into the eyes, all the while the crowd screaming in support) that I, well, felt icky about watching. I don't want to be dogmatic either, so I won't try to make a theological conclusion from my feelings. But I find I enjoy watching kickboxing more than MMA because of the heightened brutality of MMA.
You know Christians aren’t supposed to judge the heart and condemn right? And what’s your Scriptural evidence for Martial Arts being a sin? Jesus wasn’t anti self-defense. Luke 22:36.
@@mattwagnermovies6308 1 Corinthians 2:15 “But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.” Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts. Proverbs 21:2 Is The Lord delighted with those who practice martial arts? Does he love those that train in Kung Fu or Karate or Krav Maga, Taekwondo, Tai Chi or any of the many martial arts? Surely, defending yourself is not only biblical, but commanded so what’s the problem? Martial Arts, just like Yoga, does not originate from God (Jesus) or His word. It is deceptive and will damn one’s soul right to hell. Martial arts are codified systems and traditions of combat practiced for a number of reasons such as self-defense, military and law enforcement applications, physical, mental and (secular/demonic) spiritual development; as well as entertainment and the preservation of a nation’s intangible cultural heritage. Although the term martial art has become associated with the fighting arts of East Asia, it originally referred to the combat systems of Europe as early as the 1550s. The term is derived from Latin and means “arts of Mars”, the Roman god of war. Some authors have argued that fighting arts or fighting systems would be more appropriate on the basis that many martial arts were never “martial” in the sense of being used or created by professional warriors. It’s very clear, just by it’s definition, that martial arts is of “another spirit” (another god) and takes your attention away from the One True God (Jesus) and puts it on SELF, physical strength and ability, & what you can do - coupled with the spirit of competition, worldly perfection, and pride. All sins that send one directly to hell. It also says you can develop spiritually with martial arts, which suggests that there are some things that you can do during this practice that open doors to forces other than the one true God, Jesus Christ. The martial arts of the Chinese, Japanese, Aleut peoples, and Mongolian wrestling all have roots in the demonic realm. The lord (or king of dance) with a Martial Arts Pose is a depiction of the Hindu god Shiva as the cosmic dancer who performs his divine dance to destroy a weary universe and make preparations for the god Brahma to start the process of creation. The central point of these poses and images depict fight, struggle & self-defense. Clearly, Martial Arts and the “likes” are rooted in the worship of idols, particularly the Hindu god Shiva. This is very similar to yoga and other such practices. When confronted by unjust threats, martial artist will fight back with an absolute resolve with the aid of another spirit as taught. By doing this, you use demonic spirits which makes you an enemy and rebel against God. If deadly force is needed to defend yourself or someone else righteously, so be it. Just don’t use martial arts as your “defense”. To use the body to reach and learn to master the mind (is demonic because we can never use the body to master the mind). The spirit is supposed to have authority over the mind and not the other way around. This is devilish, and contrary to God’s will. Meditation is the true foundation of all martial arts (When you meditate outside of God’s word, you pull energy from demonic forces). As we can see, in no instance does Martial Arts point you to God. It points to SELF, another spirit. Besides, any form of meditation that is not rooted in God’s word is demonically influenced. Any aspect of Kung Fu or Karate or Krav Maga, Taekwondo, Tai Chi or any of the many martial arts that requires you to open your mind to forces unknown is spiritual adultery against God. The root of these arts are not rooted in Christ If you truly check your heart, you will see that as you practice these arts, your confidence will be in SELF and your physical strength. Focus & Trust in SELF, is the beginning of pride, the same sin that brought Satan down. Opening your mind to demonic forces and drawing energy from them puts you in spiritual bondage - whether you know it or not. The ruling demonic force for such arts of meditation is the devil himself, in the form of a serpent. The most dangerous part about this art is “meditation” & trying to use the body to control the mind. Are There Any Exceptions? No! All martial arts is of another spirit and demonic. Surely there is nothing wrong with learning how to defend yourself, just stay far away from any resemblance of martial arts, period. Acts 17:30-31 “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to Repent” God hates those who practice Martial Arts. Why? God has created everything for His glory…however, Satan has found ways to pervert those things God has made in an attempt to spite God and to deceive souls to hell. Martial Arts was first practiced by men who wanted to learn to defend themselves but were inspired by demonic forces, ideologies and idols. Thus, Martial arts and any form of such arts is (traditions of men) and is of another spirit (demonic); and for this reason, you are making the word of God of non-effect in your life by practicing such arts. Mark 7:13 “Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.” God’s wrath is not only upon the sin: Romans 1:18 “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all (SIN) ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness” But also the sinner: John 3:36 “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” You must be perfect biblically, not striving to be perfect in Martial arts: Matthew 5:48 “Be ye therefore perfect even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” Jesus is only the author of your salvation if you obey him: Hebrews 5:9 “And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.” Martial Arts, being of another (demonic) spirit it as unholy as you can get: 1st Peter 1:15-16 “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” God loves those who love Him: Proverbs 8:17 “I love them that love me; and those that seek me early (diligently) shall find me.” John 14:21 “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he is the loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” John 15:14 “Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.” John 14:15 “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” John 15:10 “If ye keepeth my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.” You must trust and obey the One True God (Jesus): Psalm 34:21-22 “Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate. 22 The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.”
