Loved to see you be so curious about Italian food! As an Italian, I basically never eat what you picked up, at least not that flavor or not from that shop, so it was interesting to see what you would think about it! Also, try focaccia from a “panetteria” which is basically a shop that only makes bread and variations of it (also pastries sometimes): it’s much better that supermarket one. The pastries too, try them from a “pasticceria”, they’re much better!
I don't watch Taz 4 actual food reviews, I just love to watch her overreact to everyday delicious foods, it's like watching a baby try food for the first time😂😂
I don't think anyone actually watches taz for the reviews but more like to watch her reaction. I like her honest reactions. If she doesn't like it than you will know it 😂
As an Italian leaving in Uk I feel a bit nostalgic with your Italian series! The food, the nice weather.. thank you for bringing me back home from this videos🥰
I love how harry was a stranger she met on a plane to becoming actual friends to travelling together besties 🤣 Love the bond 😄🤌 She even got him to try new things which is amazing 👌
Its honestly seeing you bloom so much Taz. There was a time where you wouldn't have asked what snacks people ate and you would have stuck to the foods you know and love. The confidence in you is amazing!! And you nevet fail to entertain. You should pick random sunscribers to go on a trip with you and swap foods etc. I would LOVE to spend a day with you xx
Tax eating yoghurt did surprise me. Didn't milk and yoghurt used to be her absolute enemies? Amazing to see how much she has grown in so many ways and now she's trying to pass that life lesson on to her friends. :') Her friends btw. are amazing! So lucky to have so many people like that around!
Tastes change as we mature. Kimchi, red wine, oysters, sardines and black coffee are some of my favourite things now. But 10 years ago, Ew. Also she may take those lactose tablets before doing this tasting vids.
Biscuits must be eaten with milk, we have big packs cause that’s why we eat for breakfast (instead of cereals). You should try also San Carlo chips like and pepper 😍 Cannoli are filled with just ricotta and sugar, but store bought one usually have whipped cream, they are absolutely NOT the same 🥲
@@Juliette5044 you don’t usually eat the full package, but a couple of cookies in the milk, they are not super sweet. I’m sure they have less calories/sugar then a bowl of US cereals, or bread with butter and jam
@@Juliette5044I’ve never heard about cookies or biscuits being a dessert. I live in South America and we sometimes eat a couple of biscuits for breakfast too.
as an italian i can tell you that there is a serious war between lemon and peach estathe so i'm very happy that you chose my side!! also amarena is not cherry it's a similar fruit but amaro litteraly means bitter so it's not as sweet and (in my opinion) not as good
Honestly, as an Italian myself, I think Estathè is too sweet for my tastebuds, I enjoy “natural tea” more, Pan di Stelle is childhood and you HAVE to enjoy them with milk cream, so whipped hot, foamy milk. Also, in the end, you got the “paste”, it is like a tray of sweet goods you get people when invited, or that you enjoy with friends at home or colleagues in the morning, next time I recommend the little cakes also made by Pan di Stelle, FENOMENAL.
Oh Taz you were doing so good until you mixed jam with focaccia, like what? 🤣 They don't go together because focaccia is not normal bread, it's totally different! But I had fun watching and hope you enjoyed it all the way 🥰
Came back from Italy last months i loved it and there food is great try going to IPER ROSSETO and INS Mercato and PAM and ALDI/LIDL you will love it ❤❤❤ the food is different in a good way
pasta = the more ivory coloured it looks = better it should both taste and feel texture wise as it's been made through a slower process that refines the flour more :)
I’ve been watching your videos since 2016 and then got the chance to meet you twice at sitc in 2019! Hands down the loveliest human being! And you’ve helped me with confidence and trying to new things! Appreciate you Taz 🤍
This video Is quite funny for an italian. The small pistacchio thing is an ice cream so it's intended to be eaten frozen, not melted as you had (that Is the reason for the small spoon). Nutella is not chocholate but a nut cream. Focaccia is not "bread" even if technically resembles that a lot. It's good and tasty but it's mostly eaten as appetizer, for sandwiches or for brunch or similar. You won't find it on the lunch or dinner table. Fig jam Is probably the sweetest one. Lemon and peach teas have usually quite a strong tea taste, and are quite full of sugars. Not the best probably and not so much drank. We just drink a lot of water, normally. Italian biscuits have nothing ti share with american cookies. 99% of our biscuits are dry and we usually dip those in a cup of milk or tea. The term biscuit actually means cooked twice "bis-cotto".
I was in Italy when I was 10yrs old. There were Spar shops everywhere. I bought this big bad of biscuits super cheap. We were all in the room eating them. In small writing on the back in English it said dog biscuits. They were nice though.
I like how honest taz is 😂 Honestly I don't know if its just the focaccia bread I tried but it wasn't cheap and was lil spicy and just didn't taste good overall. Had some veggies on it too like bell pepper and onion🫑 I like bell pepers and onions too.😢 Its a shame as I was excited too for it and was my dinner for the night🥺 I have avoided focaccia bread since than as all the cake shops and stores sell similar bread near me 😩
Did you go to the river Arno? So nice view from there. I visited Firenze few years ago and out of the blue found out from the map, that the river has the same name as my dad :D I was looking if I could find a fridge magnet or anything, that would have the river pic and Arno written out on it as well, so I could take it to my dad, but could only find magnets with river picture, so bought that one. It was nice coincidence anyway :) I ate lots of olives when in Italy, they are a lot cheaper there than in my country. And I love their beer - Birra Menabrea - soo good :)
Aw! Sad you didn’t eat the gelato cold! It’s SO much better cold! But I guess it’s a heat wave in Italy so that’s probably not an option 😅 LOVE your Italy series, Taz! So much food, so little time! ❤️ 🇮🇹 ❤

I always imagine her in a court lawyering it up in a suit and my mind is blown 😂 she's such a childlike soul, I think it would have crushed her soul if she didn't choose UA-cam over lawyer.
fig jam is not so common for us... fresh figs between the end of July and September or dried (in Calabria the crocette are dried figs with walnuts, candied fruit and a little bay leaves). Bread... maybe it is common for you to buy it like this but in Italy in 99% of cases we buy fresh bread, better if at the bakery. That focaccia was horrible. Pesto, probably Genoese, is good only if fresh and bought in the places where it is produced or made by you at home. I would never buy pesto in a non-refrigerated glass jar because it is a delicate product and to be preserved for a long time at room temperature it must be full of chemical preservatives. You only eat Genoese pesto (basil, pine nuts, oil, parmesan and pecorino cheese and salt) in Liguria. You can eat Sicilian cannoli in Sicily (where they are wonderful, with ricotta, not cream) and next time you buy the pastries in a pastry shop, not at the supermarket.
Nutella by Ferrero .... and Ferrero is italian brand... :D Kinder is Italian too. As a kid/teen I always thought that Kinder is german brand ... so many lies lol
Actually "Amarena" is not Cherry. It is "sour Cherry". It is another fruit similar to Cherry. It is better for Ice Creams and for preserves accordinf to Italian taste.

In italy biscuits are eaten for breakfast with milk same way yall eat cereal
pan di stelle is a breakfast biscuit. dunk it in caffè al latter in the mornings... yum yum
