Chances that come late
Maybe I´m not ready for it yet
I´m still blinded by the sun, although it´s red
The sparks are still flying, but there´s no fire anymore
The pain is too weak to open a door
I can´t say it´s me, that brought me this far
Sometimes what we´re doing is not who we are
I should get out of the way of what wants to be
and if that´s what it takes
then some chances will come late
I`m healing now, it´s getting worse
You`re living afterwards, you´re dying first
The heart will find its right rhythm when it breaks
but that´s not what you want and some chances come late
It´s said, that wisdom comes with age
but sometimes it feels like writing an empty page
I know my soul inside out but it doesn`t serve me much
In the end I´m just longing for your touch
And I´m just waiting to feel it one day
That`s how hope leads you astray
I should get out of the way of what wants to be
and if that´s what it takes
then some chances will come late
I`ll find myself, I´m falling now
You break free, when you reach the ground
Health is what you´re striving for when your life`s at stake
but that`s not what you want and some chances come late
Some people spend their lifes lazy and getting old
Some others believe in their strength, they are courageous and bold
But when the day comes, when you don´t know, what to do
and your will won´t help you through
you`ll just witness your next move
you´ll just witness, that you`re saved
by the chances that come late
I`m loving now, the tears are falling
You grow younger with life`s final calling
You open up with your last breath, you won`t take it to your grave
but you don`t want those chances, that come late
